I'm thinking of getting one of these, so thanks. Tappets are so easy on these, what a relief. 540 degrees = one and a half turns. Thanks for the vid 😊😊
I have a 2015 GW250F with 9000 on it. The #2 cylinder exhaust vale was always tight and never touched the rest until today. That valve was out .002 expectedly, but the #1 cylinder was perfect, oddly enough. Both intake valves all the sudden moved. 004 out. Really odd how these valve adjustments have been on this machine. Love the bike, silky smooth, I'm 285, with bags and gear and run 70 to 75 all day and I takes it. Anybody have comments on why my valves are moving so.much? Love the bike, hate the every 3000 valve adjustment. The adjustment is easy, it's the 1.6 hours getting everything out of the way. Comments please....
kudos, to this video, my friend owns one in india, just asking, why is there so much oil around the engine bay, was there some sort of leak or have you got any part lubricated, would appreciate the reply, thanks to this amazing video, my friend got the valve clearance adjusted at 23K kms, the bike is a babe, sales were bad in india, but the GW250 is a head turner here, just out of curiosity, at what kms of the bike was this video shot at.
Hi, if you mean on the outside of the engine, yeah it's thick coating of XCP rust blocker or ACF50 as it gets very wet in England and salt it used on the roads during winter to prevent corrosion. If you're talking about where the valves it than that's due to the motor having oil passages to allow motor oil to reach the tappets so expected. The bike had around the exact same distance as 23K KMs when I made this video ironically. But I've checked the valves 2 times prior. It seems rare for them to go out of spec for this bike.
i really like this bike i was ready to buy it as a second small commuter but the valve check every 5000 klm made me change my mind. Why Suzuki had to do this? My DL650 v strom valves were checked in a garage for first time at 90.000 klm and they said that it was adjusted fine and i should check again at 150.000.
@@christosx13 This engine uses a simpler design to adjust the clearance and honestly it's simple to do after first couple of times I wouldn't worry and it takes a while for it to go out of spec. I actually have a DL650 too and they compliment eachother well
This is nice, so oldskool, no fussing with shims hehe - drawback is it'll need more frequent checking I guess. I'm currently riding a Kawasaki er6-n 650 with 72hp, but have been looking at the inazuma because I'm no speed demon, and just tour around for fun basically.. would this be a bike to recommend? they are dirt-cheap on the secondhand market which makes it enticing.
Any idea what should of symptoms I might get if I have clearance issues? Mine has 108k km and I don't believe the previous owner did this kind of stuff...
@@bikersquest I don't have half of those tools but I have a friend who might. I know they're not too tight then because my bike starts incredibly easily, hardly even turns over before it roars to life... But about it being too loose... What kind of sound would it be? The head does seem a bit noisy but I don't know what "normal" is there so I'm not sure what I'm looking for...
I've reused the valve cover gasket for the last 4-5 checks not had a leak or issue yet. It's a rubber gasket I think if its condition looks fine it's okay to reuse.
