Foxhole for me really embodies the "it's about the friends we made on the way" vibe. I've played about six years now split between both factions. For the most part, the entirety of my time in Foxhole, what I have done or accomplished, is a blur. I don't remember the specifics of any wars (except 19), or how many I've won or lost. My only steadfast memories and why I still play this game is the people I've met around me, friends I have made, and the craziness we have gotten up to together. Without the friends I have made this game would have lost its charm long ago. They keep me playing and enjoying this game.
Battle tanks were introduced, which facilitated the collies making a huge comeback after holding the 3 southern regions for weeks. There were huge tank battles as a result. I specifically remember two Ops involving 20 plus LTs, and the Battle of Thunderfoot during that war where we lost over 20 LTs to one of the first collie BTs and some Hatchets that were with it. If I'm not mistaken it was the longest war to that point with the highest pop (before that the game struggled to have 500 people on if I'm not mistaken. During 19 I think it was consistently at 1,000). Nukes (really ballistic missiles) were introduced and when we (the wardens) finally got our first one an old, now defunct, regiment: Warden North Star, wanted to do some scorched earth type shit to Jade Cove. A huge civil war broke out between them, WN, and some other regiments as a result and in the aftermath the warden resistance died out and the war was lost. Whenever you see older players saying "Nuke Jade Cove" or "never forget Jade Cove" this is what they're referencing. @@camman1056
As frustrating as it might sound, i argued that foxhole is the most realistic game about war out there. It show what war is about; the suffering, the dead, glory, heck even the demoralizing aspect is realistic. Foxhole aim toward a very particular type of player and i think that is ok for what it bring to the table. I love this game
I could agree with that! And yes Foxhole is aimed at a very specific niche of gamer. This game is certainly not for everyone which is fine. But the people who do love it really love it! Thanks for sharing that!
My frst "big" experience in foxhole is when someone grabs me by the neck and chuck me in an Artillery piece and told me to load it... I felt like im doing nothing for an hour until everyone cheer about enemy bunker base collapsing. I feel like I do achieve something that day...
Today is the 47th day since I bought this game(and as I told you the first time I replied to one of your videos - at least partly because of these videos). I've continued the path of the logiman, mostly just dumping raw bmats into the salt farms depot. We're talking ~40 shipping crates of nothing but bmats, plus a couple filled with random assortment of things, mostly infantry carried AT). This had gotten me to reach the rank of Lt - which has had the effect that a lot of newbies now look to me for advice which is both an awesome and a terrifying feeling since I'm relatively inexperienced still. Like, only last night I was taking a bit of a break from logi and decided to head to the frontline. Trying to sneak around I ran into a group of low-ranked colonials and one of them just shouted FOLLOW THE LEIUTENANT!!! PUSH!!! so of course I got them all killed.
Hey that's okay dude. You will get better, that comes with practice. I'm over a 1000 Hrs and a Captain now. I still find new things to learn about the game! I do recommend joining a regiment that is operating in your lane. That way you have more guidance and experience different parts of the game. The other cool thing is getting into regiment operations. Being a Solo Man is great too though. Basically any contribution to War Effort is welcome.
@@alexvandenheuvel4757 Been mostly running solo, or together with a couple of guys I've been befriending as we keep running into eachother. [Banga] invited me to join their ops this weekend, so might be joining up with them if it turns out we mesh well together. :)
I think the really cool aspect is that youre working together with a bunch of people to a common goal and how you choose to aid that goal is entirely up to you
Yesterday we fought the collies back over the bridge in a desperate attempt to safe the town base. I cant count how many times we had to qrf in mercy and now its green. But we will never surrender.
new colonial player here, the fighting in farranac yesterday into the wee hrs of morning was crazy. felt like it would never end but tons of cool moments
I actually love that I'm just a tiny part of the war effort. Really makes those emergency logi runs to keep a bb in the fight feel all the more rewarding.
Very timely video. I had just checked Foxhole stats after 2 weeks away to find the map hadn't changed much at all. I think another part to your point, is seeing so many highlight clips of one or two people being "the big damn hero" in a battle. What's never pointed out, is how incredibly rare those moments are compared to the hours and hours someone will play.
I can shadow dance all day, but it'll never compare to the 20 kill streak I got camping a setting up push bb, completely halting and preventing a critical arty op. I can anti tank all day, but it's only rarely that my venom makes the difference and kills the light tank strafing our inf and harassing our builders. Those wonderful moments are so rare, and I crave them so deeply.
For me it's delivering much needed supplies to the front line just as they need it. You do feel like a hero then. Especially if you had to drive multiple hex,s to get there!
@@RobertLovesGames oh yeah i also tried the foxhole in VR that you made a video on. I couldnt get it to work exactly to make the camera rotate with the body. You have to change a lot of settings for it to work properly since its not a traditional first person game.
i started playing the game today again after 2 years. went on the front for a bit, realized voice chat is broken. realized that doing anything in the game takes half a day and left its unfortunate that we live in a world where this genre just isnt fun because its hard to find time for it i wish i was born 100 years later so i could just wire my brain to foxhole VR and live there forever
I still play the game casually and just find stuff to do that I think is fun or relaxing when I'm on. A lot of small roles you can play that don't take up much time. I think some players take on to big of projects and get burnt out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
Should be noted that while 99% of the time you're not a hero, those couple times that you're running a jeep full of shirts through enemy tank encirclements dukes of hazard style, you're 100% a hero.
Foxhole gets something right that so many mmos get wrong. so many MMOs are single player games with a built in multiplayer, the story treats you like you're the main character, as if the same npcs hasn't had the exact same conversation with countless others before you and won't have the same one with countless others after. Creating a massive disconnect between the "story" and the gameplay and seemingly missing the point of having it multiplayer in the first place. I love how Foxhole makes that very clear from the start, you are not the main character, there is no main character, and the gameplay IS the story.
@@RobertLovesGames It's what I wanted out of Star Wars Galaxies, which also had a player driven economy. It could have been amazing too because they could have treated the wars like sports seasons, one side wins, gets the award (ruling the galaxy for a bit) and then the next war starts after everyone is good and rested and ready for the next. Having content outside of the war goes a long way for this and I think Anvil has by far the most potential with that. Sadly SWG decided to try to be like world of warcraft instead and all that potential vanished.
Players in foxhole are nothing but a small cog in the war machine. Yet the small cog is the defining factor of the war machine. Teamwork, consistency, and resilience over an extended period of time will bring one faction to victory. You might not get that dopamine hit as most games provide, but victory in foxhole is much more than just winning the war. It is a testament to the hours of hardwork sweat and blood that all players have put in to push the objectives of the faction. Players in this game don't just play the game, they coordinate, strategize, and execute on a completely different level. Regiment's running war economy and hosting large frontline operations to liberate entire fronts. Representative councils to divide resources between player groups or coordinate the entirety of a faction. In Foxhole you become a part of this, where no single person can claim glory to themselves, but the entire group glorifies the communal achievement. As a warden loyalist I will end this in the classic warden way, FOR CALLAHAN !!! 🔥
The small cog may be small but it's necessary for the machine to work. And well said. There is a lot that goes into Foxhole and it's more than just winning. I agree with this. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! For Callahan!
I've been waiting for Europeans to say, "can you make this video, but replace every time you say 'inch' with '2.54 centimeters'?" Actually an amazing video, every video of yours like this always makes me hop on foxhole!
lol! 2.54 centimeters by 2.54 centimeters would make for a very long video title ha! Thank you so much! And I'm really glad to hear that thanks for telling me!
What motivates me is the emergent gameplay. Just a couple of guys want to lead an assault so they recruit randos and and have their plan all figured out. And then we launch that plan weather it's success or failure. Just the coordination to perhaps achieve a minor/insignificant pain in the side of the enemy. Makes for great memories and stories though. Guess it turns out you kind of also have to be petty to enjoy Foxhole by trying to inflict pain to an enemy no matter the cost LOL
Being the hero can have a multitude of levels in Foxhole. Ranging from being the hero that fills other peoples scrap containers on the fields for them without asking something in return over getting out of the trench in a set fight, flank behind the enemy and drop in their trenches to then wave to your friends that they can now cross the barren nomansland between craters. Despite being a cog in the machine and having to rely on your team and cooperation to achieve the large victories, it is still magnificient how much impact single players can have through their actions. May it be on the battlefield, in a supporting or commanding role. Seeing people play together and pay in on the same goal is what keeps me playing. Its only half the fun to scroop alone!
As someone who is currently fighting for super earth I still love hopping in and doing a bit of frontline medic or trench fighting or I'll find an artillery crew that needs a shell runner
Been fighting over in Allods Bight for the past 5 days. Back n forth and I'm loving that honestly. It makes the successful advances more rewarding, and the tension of the impending counter-attack is chilling and fun to anticipate.
I was just there! And it was a great battle! I really don't mind the back and forth. I just know new players can get discouraged by it sometimes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
I play foxhole because i like the fact that everyone has to work together, you cant just spawn a infinite times no, people have to supply the base with everything. Everything is made by a Player. I dont play the game that often but i hop on every day not for a long time (sometimes its a lonnnggg time) but i have fun because i know, "ohi killed this machine gunner and now my 2 mates were able to push to another trench", that is just something i love to play. And that working together to achieve a goal is something i love to do too. And thanks for your videos i like them👍
What motivates me in this game, The fact that I can hop in and in about 3 minutes I can find something to do. Weephome needs bmats? Done. We need a pallet of 150mm somewhere. Done. Tanks pushing somewhere? let me grab some flasks and try to take care of it. We need a loader for this arty, I can help. I understand that my shirt only cost 8 bmats and I can just do what ever someone needs help with. So freaking satisfying to me.
Nice! Sounds like how I play the game as well! As logi player I always have something I can be doing to help the team. I think it's satisfying as well. Thanks for sharing that!
Also guys don't forget, if you're getting burned out from one front, go to another, or go do something else. Even try something new. It doesn't take that much man power and time to make a cannon boat, or to do a partisan run. There is so much to do in this game.
Absolutely! This is a large part of why I like the game so much. Since you don't have much of an individual impact, those times when you do singlehandedly make an impact on the war by coordinating a critical logi shipment or ambushing, it's even more rewarding.
I was there on that blessed day, leading the brave men of the 318th Engineering Battalion. We fought hard, we fought to the last... Must we NEVER forget!!
So, my real life job is a painter and comic artist. I also do solo game development. These are all things that require a lot of patience and embracing an imperfect result. I feel like Foxhole suits me just fine because to me that's just a normal day. I will say, I love how while usually Foxhole's victories come after a long and slow battle, sometimes a total surprise shows up on the battlefield that turns the momentum immediately and that's fun to witness.
That sounds awesome! As a content creator I get the embracing the imperfect result as you can tell from my videos ha. I only have so many hours in the day. And yes those moments are awesome! Just happened to me at Allods Bight! Thanks for sharing that!
I completely agree with everything you said in this video. I think its also a major factor that people don't consider when comparing faction equipment. Arguments have always centred around tanks and heavy weapons. But I feel and have always felt that over the course of an entire war simple weapons like colonial bombastones contribute more than any tank to the taking of ground. Simple effective infantry equipment contributes the most, because it is the most used, widespread and cheap.
Glad to hear! And I can get behind the equipment statement as well. You are probably right that in the grand scheme of things bomba's have the same effect if not more than tanks. I like that. Thanks for sharing that!
True but it has not really done much for the last 10+ days. I would still call this a stalemate at this point. In previous wars by this time I feel as though one faction would have 2/3 of the territories already.
"Never share a foxhole with someone braver than you" Never has that quote been so true when you see someone aim up an rpg at a nearby tank when you're sharing the foxhole with them
Quick sweeping victories can happen. But you'll have to accept that they are localized, few, and far between. Another part is that you are a part of a whole, not the other way around. That last part is perhaps the most difficult part for new players to wrap their heads around since they're used to being the "main character" a most video games. The ones who persist will find accomplishment and more appreciation for the little things they do.
Oh for sure! I've experienced some sweeping victories. They are sometimes followed up by the enemy just taking them over again hours later ha. And well said about being part of a whole. I like that! Also that's how I feel as well about the longer you persist with this game. The longer you play the more the little things you do to help others in game is more appreciated because you know what goes into all of it. Thanks for sharing that!
Foxhole is the game where you are not just having fun, but making memories When you're doing the routine, you start to appreciate people you work with around more than the gameplay sometimes It's addicting (please sleep more guys, I worry for your health)
I bought the game today, but I couldn't do much since I didn't have much time today. But boy, oh boy, I was having a blast just in training Island. Can't wait to get my butt handed to me in pieces, or get yelled for not knowing logi 😂 Keep the videos coming, I love them
Nice! That's great to hear! Feel free to DM me on discord if you have any questions or need help with anything! And thanks for the kind words! See you out there!
I'm a fairly new player but I'd say I've had my most fun doing logi runs and defence building. It nice when people tell you good job and thank you as they're running past into battle.
I love the game because of the whole fact that nobody is the heroes. Everybody has to work together and it's a slow and steady race. Because of that it feels like whatever I do, I am part of something bigger. I am just not a cog in the machine, I am an essential part of the war that pushes forward. On my side several other people are just like me, who keeps fighting until the war is over and whatever you win or lose. You had a good time and a great experience cause of the massive scale you took part of.
I love it! If Foxhole didn't have the voice communication and community it has I probably wouldn't be playing it still either. Thanks for sharing that!
Grinding out and transporting successfully over 30 public silverhands after a whole week of grinding to getting commends and some recognition and see the region being reinfornced with your tanks is rewarding 👌 🎉
That one good partisan run after many hours of scouting and getting qrfed. I have gotten better at qrf because I think like a partisan. I also can tank better because I am thinking about the flanks that can happen so I am ready when they do happen
As a Logi and Scrapper for the Colonial side, mainly because I suck with the shooty shooty bit, Foxhole abides by what I call, and it has been called this before, the Arithmetics of War. Gains and losses in Foxhole are as much about supplies and effectiveness as the skill of individual soldiers. Wardens tend towards giving a slightly smaller number of soldiers slightly better weapons at slightly higher costs, while Colonials equip slightly more soldiers, with slightly worse weapons, at slightly cheaper costs. The biggest example of this is the Falchion Versus Outlaw, the Colonial Falchion needing 135 refined mats versus the Outlaws 150 Rmats, the Falchion also coming in crates of 5 instead of 3 if produced at a Mass production factory, and with that 10% discount per crate. Yet both can be boiled down to a simple question: What is the cost in salvage and components per meter gained or held? Does one warden with a rifle that comes in a crate of 15 per 125 Bmats earn his value if he kills 2 colonials who's rifles where 100 Bmats per crate of 20, before dying himself?
Swear to God by this, but if the developers added an M1 grand ping at the end of the clip of your default rifles for warden and colonials. The frontline would be flooded
True, but you neglect to mention that morale is what actually wins wars. Small gains against a fighting opponent are fun, but breakthroughs and collapsing fronts happen when the opponent thinks he has lost before he does in fact loose.
I have a whole video on morale that I made couple of weeks ago :D didn't want to repeat myself to much with this video. But you are correct morale is a very important resource on both sides and can determine the outcome of these longer wars. Thanks for your thoughts on this!
I like foxhole because I can spend hours just scrooping 10s of thousands of scrape just to relax and do a bit off good work for the wardens effort, and sometimes have funny/epic logi runs.
Say what you will about devs, bugs and slow updates. One thing i will defend them from is the fact that they dont make the game addicting or scamming with lootboxes, microtransactions and such. Devs dont target minors to make big bucks like GTA or any mobile game. Devs moral stance so far has been good
Best part of foxhole for me, is setting a few stair stepping goals everyday and continually seeing your effort bear fruit. After playing long enough you learn just how impactful your actions are, even as a small group or solo player. Things that otherwise seem pointless to a new player, can sometimes be the make or break action for a front. Sometimes just setting the goal of clearing some pointless mines where everyone else is "having fun fighting" turns out to be the action that allows your tanks to push a critical angle to split the enemy defense 12hrs later. Your a COG in a machine, but little actions can have big results. Big OPs are flashy, cool, and make the largest impacts but they don't discount that solo player that dumped 6000 Bmats into an empty Depot when enemy Arty starts warming up 18hrs later
war 109 my regiment held the Lockheed bridge from being taken for three weeks. there was a bug on that bridge where you couldn't aim your gun and bayonets where your best friend. It took the collies 3 storm cannon railroad operations at the same time to obliterate us. The great split rock fortress fell that day🤣🤣
My problem with FoxHole is generally just the "I don't know what to do" factor. I would love to have some kind of breakdown of all the macro things you can do in the game, and for each thing what micro actions you need to do to achieve it.
For me when I game. I like to play with people. I love action games and RPGs. Not big on a lot of top down shooters or point and click movements that you get with Diablo or similar games. War and history always was a fancy of mine. So I dibble dabbled with it and ended going full time with patch 1.0 the community of people in game I and online. The feeling of taking over something that might not mean much to others but in foxhole that inch is like winning the Superbowl. I don't feel pressured to keep up with gear or level since everything resets after each war. So we all start over again. Minus the in-game rank and level system. It's not the same as in other MMORPG style games. It's just fun and could spend hours on a bridge and not even see anything happening. All of a sudden something happens and movements. Like being in during off peak times and a warden wave of tanks pushed past your defenses. That thrill of calling in a QRF over discord, region and Intel makes it worth while for me.
I dont play foxhole to win. I play it because the battles feel so immersive and fluid due to their scale. Taking part in big battles feels fun even if neither side makes real progress, simply because there’s so much going on. Though I have to admit at least, a back-and-forth battle, a rolling victory or a collapse of your defences always feel way more fun than a static battle that goes nowhere. Thats why I avoid bridge battles…
Same! I mainly do logi and don't get into the meta with combat and I just go to them wanting to feel that big immersive battle feeling. I have a great time each battle! And agreed! Battles that kind of move a little faster than others always feel better as well which is why I tend to avoid bridge battles most of the time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
not just "new players" dont like the no impact feeling, i play foxhole from dayone, and many of my friends too, there are many player like us get abbandoned by the dev with thier devolopment choice, game kept getting bigger and production cappability are through the roof compare to the old time, everything just so insinificant... losing a light tank use to be a big deal. so most of us dont play anymore, but we didnt give the game negitive reviews too, just knowing that the game is not for us anymore.
I feel like maybe more progress would be made if someone was doing setting overall strategic objectives. Like organizing flanking maneuvers, cutting enemy supply lines, encirclements, and diversionary attacks at other points. Because there is very little large scale cohesive strategy, players are just throwing themselves at the enemy lines in an attempt to make progress through brute force. Players are also often not communicating well even with the guy standing right next to him. Lack of communication and coordination is what I think makes Foxhole so slow. I guess you could say that both armies effectively lack an officer corps. Edit: I should include the caveat that I am relatively new to playing foxhole, though I was aware of what I was getting myself into.
We do those things already. However, those are handled by the regiments because they have the necessary amount of communication and coordination between their members and each other to pull those maneuvers off. I can count on one hand how many times large gaggles of free players organize themselves to accomplish those feats. Plus, the rank system in Foxhole has only one practical use: to determine how long you have played the game. Getting free players to obey is a fool's errand but the one who speaks and sounds like he knows what he's doing will get people to move in a general direction. The players who make up an actual officer corps are in regiments, and whatever authority they have doesn't go outside that. I was in your shoes before and let me tell ya, don't worry about the big strategic things so much because you don't have a handle on them. Do what you can with what you have in support of others to achieve more later. And just because some don't want to or cannot communicate doesn't mean you shouldn't have to.
@@johndane9754 right now, my biggest struggle is that I keep disconnecting before I even figure out what I am doing. I do still think that the lack of a high command diminishes the effectiveness of each army. Intel isn’t organized or properly analyzed to be capitalized on. Sure, players can figure out how to school like fish and all push together, but that’s not the kind of grand strategy that a high command could coordinate. I also think that it would improve organization if players were assigned to a local regiment when they deployed, instead of needing to try to join one. Real armies don’t have thousands of soldiers running around on the battlefield completely detached from the chain of command. I may not have much experience in foxhole, but I have played quite a bit of planetside 2, which is similar, minus the logistical aspect, and I am a military historian.
@@GusCraft460 I don't know what to tell you about the connection problem. However, I understand your frustration with their being no command and control structure baked into the game. The closest to a high command both sides have is SIGIL for the Colonials and Warden Unity Hub for the Wardens. Both were made by their respective communities and are made by their oldest or largest regiments. In reality they more like social hubs because we're not dealing with people who have graduated ROTC so planning is essentially theoretical until it's executed by consensus. Recently I was part of an operation with at least 3 regiments in driving the blueberries out of Westgate. One regiment handled artillery, 2 had the armor, and free players made up the majority of infantry. There were flanking actions, supply raids, etc. But it came down to breakthrough actions because you can only flank so far until you hit the border or water. Not long after I was sent by my Colonel to recon King's Road for potential weak points and sabotage enemy Intel by destroying watchtowers. Then I was in the defense of Westgate against I think three, probably more, Warden regiments with a lot of armor and artillery. I'm a military historian as well but I know that a lot of players neither have the time, interest, or patients to attempt to herd cats. My advice still is to not worry about it some much about the big picture stuff. You'll get there in time should you decide to lead your own outfit.
@@johndane9754 I am still learning the game, and once I figured out that players can place map markers with messages I felt a lot better about things. I have started to see a decent level of impromptu coordination, but it still lacks grand strategy, but maybe that’s ok. I recently figured out how crossing hexagon borders works, and I can see how each hexagon being treated like an isolated battlefield makes small scale local strategy more viable than grand strategy. Right now I’m just digging a lot of trenches, because all I need is a shovel and patience.
All of that stuff is happening I feel like just not on really big scale. If it's happening on a big scale it happens only like a handful of times a week when clans plan those kind of operations. I agree that things like flanking and cutting enemies supply line off should happen more but it's hard to gather the randoms on the front to change positions. You have the right mindset I think and I think like you and I a lot of players think like this but again it's just hard to coordinate everyone to do those type of "operations" if that makes sense. I think the more you play the more you will understand why it's hard to coordinate those type of pushes and attacks. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
Man ain’t lying, your gains today could be gone in a matter of minutes tomorrow, one of the greatest strategic MMO’s out there right now, you’ll be torn between the advances your team makes and the losses that come along the way, keep your head up though, what was lost can be quickly regained in a matter of hours, so long as you work together, that’s the underlying truth, without cooperation desperation follows, keep fighting and learn from past mistakes, anyone can build a bunker, facility or a handful of watch towers, to keep them up and running is the true struggle when you arnt on a frontline receiving supplies from the many others in the back line producing those supplies, an army moves only as fast as its logistics, so remember you are doing a lot even if you only move supplies or only make them, the front cannot move an inch without those doing the work in the back.
me playing my first 10 hrs just digging trench because i suck at shooting enemy then i find my weapon of choice then i rush , died, rush agian then got my first kill i was happy then start learning to build a bunker base became a carpenter for 2 hours learn to add sand bags and barbwire then log off and log in, in the evening just to see that base completly Destroyed then some guy invite me to be a tank gunner for 4hrs loved the role its fun to find a friend you can never be too educated in the game so keep learning
iunno how somebody couldn't enjoy this game I have god awful internet, like lose every gunfight unless they are blind, but every time I turn on foxhole it is a dopamine hit hell just 4 days ago I was bombarding a collie bb with a gunboat to support or side of a bridge battle at loch mor name something better than firing 157 HE shells at a bb, and having your spotter tell you "dude you just killed 6 in one shot"
I really enjoy this game. Having terrible internet and trying to do combat would suck. And that does sound like a really good feeling! Thanks for sharing that!
I just stopped playing, mostly solo flexing between logistics, frontline and scraps/comps collecting. As a Collie who spends most time in Stema Landing Alchimino. Everyday and multiple times of the day there have been Warden gunboats harrasing us Snipping Ironships and destroying auto-harvesters. We have a QRF gunboat that we use to contest them is stationed at the Seaport of Alchimino which I supply, rearm and rebuild if it's gone. If someone calls out an enemy gunboat is in the region only 3 people go out to hunt the other, even though there are 20+ collies in the hex. Today i was gunned down and gassed by an enemy gunboat in a fully loaded Ironship which i even asked for an escourt for (third time it happend) and i urged others to join me on the QRF boat to at least contest them and not get away for free. But none showed up even though we had plenty of people in the hex. They have the stomach to call for help but never help someone in need. Sheep mentality! - Phew, at least I didn't get eaten this time! Instead of showing up they argued in chat wasting precious time, while wardens had to wrench and repair my ship and steal it, which they did. No, they are just gonna sit in their facilities all day Just like any multiplayer game, I can't deal with some people so I'm going back to solo games
i agree with you sometimes multiplayer games can be frustrating on the other hand single player games can be relaxing and even have great lore and engaging content. Lmao tho I wish I could play foxhole but single player games are fun
What I absolutely hate about foxhole is that you can prep for an op for 6 hours, using resources you've accumulated in 3 real life days. And then one good qrf or one big lag or one big disconnect... And everything you prepared is for nothing. But when your plan works... Oh god... Also thats one of the reasons why my regiment is mostly on QRF/partisaning
Im thinking of getting Foxhole and I wanna try RPing. I'll just pull up a random name generator on my phone, spawn, get a name, RP as that soldier, die, repeat. Hopefully It'll be fun!
Nice! There are quite a few people that larp/roleplay on the battlefield. I always appreciate seeing it :D Feel free to DM me on discord if you have any questions or need help learning anything!
@RobertLovesGames when I get the game I surely will! I saw your video abt Foxhole's main issue so I hope with someone guiding me I'm not gonna get mass reported 😅
Ha! After my 1,500 hours of gameplay I would say that the community is 95% positive and helpful with the other 5% being toxic. And yes sometimes it's the higher up jaded officers in the clan. Thanks for your thoughts on this!
I use to play Albion Online when it came out! Played it for like 2-3 years straight. Mainly did gathering and economy type stuff, didn't care for the fighting. Now I just log on and flex my ghostwolf from time to time :D
Yea i think i am one of the people who feel demoralised because of the lack of progress. I really love the game but i just can't be bothered to get in and see the same areas all the time. I'd really love to get good at building bases but if i ever do build em and they last longer than two days they'll linely never get stress tested for me to learn where to close holes. I just can't justify the time spent for little gain in my eyes.
It honestly happens to a lot of players, so you are certainly not alone in feeling that way. Sounds like you really need to change it up if you want to enjoy this game. I play different roles every 1-2 hours depending on what I'm doing. I see where you are coming from for sure. If it stresses you out or causes you to not have fun I think it's okay that Foxhole is not the game for you ya know? Thanks for sharing that!
My only issue with Foxhole is that I keep getting disconnected, to be honest. Everything else is great. But If I'm doing logi, and driving to front... and I get disconnected, connect on the home island... I know this truck is as good as lost. And it's frustrating in a bad way.
Dang sorry to hear that! Out of my 1,500 hours I've only been kicked out maybe 3-5 times. Tried to find any solutions to it or ways to make it happen less? I'm not a tech expert but maybe someone out there has had a similar problem.
@@RobertLovesGames Oh really? damn I had those issues in like few places tbh. I got disconnected like 4-5 times per day it takes a lot of fun out of the incredible game
