Apparently there kinda-sorta is parasympathetic innervation of the ventricles, but it's indirect: the parasympathetic neurons synapse with the sympathetic fibres rather than the myocytes themselves, and the sympathetic fibres have muscarinic acetylcholine receptors which when activated inhibit noradrenaline release. So the PS fibres are inhibiting sympathetic activity rather than having a direct PS effect.

Potassium; "Cramps if insufficient potassium" must mean bad for the heart muscle as well. Yet too much potassium is unhealthy. So the balance must be key.
