"The Star-Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States. Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics in 1814 after witnessing the British bombardment of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. The lyrics were set to the tune of a popular British song called "To Anacreon in Heaven." It became a well-known patriotic song and was officially recognized as the national anthem in 1931 by a resolution passed by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Herbert Hoover.
‪@warhippies‬ performed this rendition live at the Rebel Ranch Studios in Ashland City, TN --30 minutes outside of downtown Nashville. US Army combat veteran Donnie Reis leads the performance on fiddle while Marine Corps. combat veteran ‪@ScooterBrownBand‬ stands proudly with his hand over his heart.

Love and pride swept thru my heart like I have never experienced before. I do love our country and I look forward to the days when we treat each other with respect and patience. We all love our USA and Texas beyond a doubt. What a great place to start at with our neighbors.......We can have peace and still get the goverment shite show on the evening news.

this is beautiful, i too stood with a hand over my heart ..our Anthem is not a racist or bigotry song and in my opinion should never be used in ANY ideology period. If you are unable to stand and recognize then please use that time to go get a beverage or take a dump. ... this was beautiful!!!!!

Nailed that so high ending note , Welcome home my brothers in green . I came across your other song - If i make it out alive - here few weeks back n it truely hit home as I was that 18 yr old in Ft. Benning 3 weeks into basic training 1986 when to our suprise our Drill Sargent Badour took us to local NCO club after walking in wanting a beer as bad as everyone else over age I asked my Drill Sargent " I can'r sit at the bar hell I can't even buy a drink " about then he interupted me - pointing to a huge round table w/ 12 chairs around it Pvt Bright go sit over there the guy's will be there in a min , I sat down not having faith in anyone had to wonder if I got ditched and about the time I finished that thought they came around the corner w/ 12 pitchers and 20 frozen 18oz pounder beer glasses and to this day best damn beer I've ever had because of the brothers I had to drink with ..........so in hearing your other song law should be changed , with military ID drinking age should be 18 yrs old ----if your old enough to die for your country your old enough to drink in the Country we call home .....good ol USA

As I said in my first comment, since my childhood I really like that country. Encantado también de conocerlo. Nací y vivo aún en Montevideo, Uruguay.
