That Triumph Flat tracker was Ronnie Ralls No. 52 He was from Mansfield Ohio Great rider and AMA Grand National Champion. A really good rider and Christian!
Make the drive to Mid-Ohio and Wauseon part of your biker bucket list no matter what you ride. Mid-Ohio specialize in vintage dirt bike stuff but it's large and there's plenty for everyone. Bring a truck and wear comfortable hot weather gear. Bring a shitload of water etc because you'll go through it. A hand truck with large wheels or a yard wagon is a very good idea.
I'd like to do both, but boy, its hard to stay on the road that long, two weekends in a row, which means 3 weeks out from Florida on a good day! But if I was younger!
That Beezer b-50 was a gold star s.s. model. You couldn't have been more accurate as to "they really boogered" those up by the end i.e. 72-73. Another great sample of the show👏
The biggest mistake BSA (Bits Stuck Anywhere / Bump Start Always) was when they tried to build a B50 based grass track / speedway bike to challenge Jawa's domination of the sport, in the UK, Europe, Australia & New Zealand. They ended up with a bike that had less than half the acceleration of the Jawa DT500 that was also notably slower. The problem was that the Jawa motor was designed, from scratch, as a high performance engine running on methanol, whereas the B50 was originally designed as a street bike gas engine.
Can Ams are fantastic riders bikes. I wish there were lots here. Great quality dirtbikes. Leaky fork seals were the only problem I had. Rocketship. And a couple of TT500's. Great 500 singles.
I haven’t been in a few years now. I used to go with Mike Kavula and his dad who was a wheel in the bsa club and has a bunch of Aermacchi hds and some sears nikes too. I’ve missed it again, I keep saying I’m going to trailer all my sprint crap up there and sell it but never do.
A Dalesman, nice a bike has my name never heard of those! Quick rider question, if I have over stuffed a muffler will the bike bog at higher speed only? My 441 seems to have lost top end speed after home baffling it.
@@bullpencycles Thanks it is a 19" Emgo dunstall rip off 1-1/2" through with mesh in flare. I just took it off and my tube I added same diameter with slash cuts came loose so I think it obstructed. Had the bike long time just keep upping the performance with trial and error. Out to the highway with it back to loud and de baffled muffler. LOL! That Bergermiester was so sweet fully felt the attraction too. Great art that engine.
@@bullpencyclesI believe it. I don’t know what things are like down in FL where you are but buyers here are slow with the cash these days unless you’re giving something away of course. (this is Jack, Craig’s friend from Lebanon Pa)
