Unreal! I’ve never targeted flounder before, but I just signed up for a local derby and I’m now cramming in all the knowledge I can before the weekend. Thank you for all the information you share on your channel!
Absolutely amazing video! So much life and fish behavior that we don't see or understand. Seeing the fluke's reaction to the bucktail/gulp vs the strip was my biggest takeaway. Also fascinating to see how many fish look at the strip and don't eat it. Thanks again John!
Wow John! This was a real treat, I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Fished for fluke on my kayak the last two days here on Staten Island with nothing but a few cocktail blues hitting my gulp, this video is inspiring to say the least! Keep em coming, thanks!!!
Wow John, this was one of the best fishing videos i have every seen. Keep up the good work. This explains why the big flounder always went for my friends bucktail over my spearing
John, All your previous videos are great. I've learned so much from them as well as reading all your books. Now with the addition of the wolf cam, your videos are next to none. I look forward to seeing additional footage to enhance what I've learned from your videos and books. I look forward to meeting you one day on the surf.
I have learned so much watching this. Thank you! It confirms what I have felt on my line so many times but could not see. And lost of course. I think I can anticipate what is happening so much better now.
Several fish over ten pounds that I have taken opted for the bucktail and Gulp! over a live bait (bergal) that was sitting in the adjacent rod holder. I really hope you get an opportunity to drop this down over an active bunker school at some point.
Great video. Fished for with my father for fluke for years, starting in the early 70s. Had great success using pork rind and live killie combo bait on a 2 foot leader, one foot above the sinker.
thats a nice fluke too this video is making me very aggravated like i usually get fluke fishing lol thanks john great video. im having a decent year so far and its do to a lot of what i learnd from your books and vids
Share this man's videos viewers and don't forget to buy the book. My son did and all the info in it, takes a lifetime to compile. Peace Out Mr. Skinner.
Just unbelievable video! This is the best yet! What's funny is what's happening in the mind's eye of the fisherman, has nothing to do with what's actually happening on the bottom. All I can say is " More, More, Please!
I have been looking for feeding information on flounder and this is fantastic. This explains a lot, I fish flounder in the UK and the behaviour appears the same, sometimes you just don't know their hookedWould love to see gurnard and dogfish feeding behaviourKeep up the good work
John, I have to give you tons of credit, you certainly know how to find fish. The vids are great. Seeing that many fluke together, makes me think the fishery is on the comeback. Showing the swimming towards you after hooked is classic as I have been surprised more than once with these slick bastards. Thanks for the vid and fish on!
Now THAT is cool! I've flounder fished all my life and this is the first time I've ever seen a flounder hit underwater. Their behavior after the strike tells me I need to set the hook as soon as they hit if I'm fishing jigs or lures with multiple hooks. Live bait? Do a live bait video! ;) Awesome stuff. Keep it up!
I am in NE Florida and have been catching flounder from 14" to 26" since August. I have learned how to not lose them more than anything. Recently have been setting the hook in them. This is an amazing video!!!
John......I know it's an older video , but pleae , if you get the time.....do some more! Has to be one of , if not the best under water cam video I've ever seen! Thank you!
What an awesome video! I can't seem to find flounder anywhere. Only caught two ever and they were on accident. I'd love to learn how and where to fish them
