Also looking the replay at 0.25x I can see his is back on his feet just an instant before the mates come to him, so as you correctly said no ruck and valid try. Anyway, this was very close, I saw TMO called for much less than this

we are far from being a top tier side.... i think we are showing some good and are improving but other teams also improving. We still struggle too much with reading situations and imposing our game.

Our Italian team has been steadily improving lately, and that's something to celebrate for sure for Italian fans, but England is quite shit at the time as well, so Italy definitely isn't "top-tier" regardless, I'm afraid.
