Vienna's Radio Symphony Orchestra performs an excerpt of David Arnold's Soundtrack to Independence Day at "Hollywood in Vienna 2013" in the Vienna Concert Hall. Conducted by David Newman.
Its truly sad to me that this Composer never made a score like this since, he's still writing music, but never amounted to such a powerful emotional scale as this. Wish some big shot producer/director would give him a chance again!
This movie is so underrated. The CGI is second only to Jurassic Park in my opinion. And the score/soundtrack are fantastic. This film doesn't get enough credit.
My favorite and the most played movie in my family's household.. LOTR and HarryP. are played alot at our house too but still not as much as Independence Day.. never gets old
@80s Remastered Independence Day Wiki. Also the official Independence Day website said it when it was then still up on the internet (it’s now the 20th century studios website).
I was 7 years old and was to young to see the movie in cinema.. So I bought the video tape with the 3D effect front-card..Later I had a pc and saw the game on internet so I bought that to. After that the DVD came out bought the extended edition...After the PS3 came out a whole shit load of movies came out in Blue-Ray So I bought the Blue Ray version to. If anyone asked me which movie you prefer to see, u can guess..And finally they are working on Independence Day II :D
+Jaimie Dillon I think I was 5 or 6 when this came out and I was scared of this movie I admit (in particular the alien surgery scene) but as I've gotten older and ebraced my inner nerd I see it as a piece of optimistic science-fiction and now we get to see the sequel and what happened after.
Good Lord, Man! You nailed it! Really great job! Do You have music sheet or midi or sg? Please share! There are no independence day music sources, but the music itself is so billiant.. I want to play it!
Same composer for the original Stargate film, which SG-1 borrowed heavily from. There are many similar themes. In fact, episode 6 of the first season of SG-1 featured a little Independence Day motif which was never heard again. It's unfortunate that it had to be in the 6th episode, as it is one of the most unwatchable.
It's like that in the original end credits music. The reason it felt brief here is b/c they skipped the beginning section where that particular theme was first played.
