This film is and always will be a classic.

Don’t get me wrong. Russell’s “hello boys…” line is epic. But my favorite part, which still gives me chills 25 years later, is when Whitmore exclaims “doesn’t anyone have any missiles left?!” And Russell comes in with “sorry I’m late, Mr. President…” Soooo good. 😆

I remember watching this in the theater, the audience went nuts clapping and hollering when the aliens were blown up. That’s the only movie I watched in a theater where that has ever happened.

I always thought that Russell killing the ship in the end as his own special probing to the aliens. It's kinda like he is going right up the alien ship rear-end.

In the non canon novel adaption of the film, the alien's biosuit was actual an entirely different species that they had subjected in the past. Using their bodies as protective shells. Also when Russel first saw the alien bodies, he concluded that they weren't the same species that had abducted him, This part however was changed in the film.

Great break down. I remember this movie was the shit when it came out.

Holy crap, I didn't know most of the effects were models and awkward angles, I generally thought the fire was CGI.

I love this movie. It’s such a great 90’s time capsule. It’s scary, fun and funny with a great sense of scale and spectacle that embodies not just the optimism of the 90’s but also the threatening, incoming times following the new millennium.

I'm shocked that Russel didn't at least get a statue in his honor in the sequel. The man was the one who figured out the critical weak point on the City Destroyers. RIP, bro 😭

You do such a great job with these, going into behind the scenes detail that, like icebergs, the bulk is rarely rarely seen but known about. I would love to see you do a vid on a movie flop. Not to make fun of it mind you but to help juxtapose all the details, again behind the scenes that either make a movie a masterpiece or a forgettable failure.

When this movie released I was still to young to go to the theaters but I had rented the VHS from Blockbusters 😂 I love this movie!

I LOVE how the design of The Aliens and their ships is both similar and different at the same time, they even took concepts from the real world, such as The 1947 Roswell Crashing and Alien abduction.

Honestly my biggest question is where you find the information regarding the production of the films, as those are typically my favorite parts of your videos that discuss films. Honestly most of the other film review channels gloss over the information concerning production, effects, and casting so it is fun when you bring attention to those subjects.

Peace... No peace! I love this movie and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Its my favourite brainless popcorn flick and I wish they still made them practically like this. It is 22 years old and still looks great.

I was 24 when this came out. The first time I saw it, i was in the hi-fi theater. I remember being in a total hypnotic trance when the huge shadows covered the earth from the ships. Mind you, I had just smoked Jamaican weed.

Great job, well done Vid as always! I'll admit I enjoyed the action. Though I hated all the Sterotypes and Cliches this Movie was stuffed with. This Movie had Will Smith prior to seeing him having his first miss with Wild Wild West. He was/can be an amazing actor. I seen Bright on N.F recently and he can still be amazingly good. Given the amount of Suns in our Galaxy with Earth like Planets, that we found already; It's impossible that we're alone. That being said; The issues with Lights speed limit, insane distances and Spectrometers means we'd never know anyone else was there. Let alone get to them, same goes for another Species. Doesn't matter if they could go 99.99% Light Speed. If you don't know your destination, you can't get there. Without communication that bypasses Light barrier and a common tongue, it's not happening. New Tech based on Quantum Entanglement exists. It does just that but it's like kids Walkie-Talkies; You have to physically bring the Pair where you go. No talking to anyone else that didn't already leave Point A. Where you both were when they were made. This is leaving out the insane things time does when moving closer to the speed of light and your destination is moving at regular speed. I'm guess I'm saying for everything to line up requires more variations/time than the Human race will probably ever live to see. Probably Earths time too.
