When people talk about Ambedkar, i just wonder that why they don't talk about Ambedkar's view on islam & muslims & how he exposed them. I would suggest people to read a book called Pakistan or Partition by BR Ambedkar. Whatever he predicted regarding this jihadi cult have proved to be right & he clearly mentions that these people are a headache & unnecessary burden for any society. And he also said that it's better not to keep them in India after partition.

In the comments, I can see, majority of people were amazed by his english speech rather than by the content he said. He described the Hindu rashtra very well but he has completely misguided about the agendas of current govt(BJP). Depriving the rights of minority section or any kind of discrimination against them is not their goal. Tharoor wanted unity among all the people but the people themselves are creating a rift and politicians adding fuel to that. Current govt also wants unity but not at the cost of scapegoating Hindus.

India was partitioned not because of religion but Congress withdrawing its consent to 1946 cabinet mission plan of strong autonomous states due to pressure from business houses profiteering under centralized British rule. These business houses were also the chief patrons of Congress which is why Congress had to withdraw its consent. 1947, was not independence but transfer of power from the British to the allies of the British. Before 1947, only roughly 51% of today's India was British India rest were 565 independent kingdoms under the suzerainty of the British crown. Forced centralized rule in both India and Pakistan, countries which never existed prior to arrival of East India Company, is the root cause for corruption, concentration of power in the hands of extremely few, extreme poverty, backwardness and secessionist movements in large parts of the nation. The way forward is going back to 1946 cabinet mission plan where power rests with the states and centre represented by every state of the union and not one political party only in charge of defense, communication, currency and foreign affairs.

Excellent talk but has some nonsense/lies inserted for political correctness. 75 years is also reflection how majority is humiliated and ignored in the name of secularism. Hindu temples not allowed by themselves but run by Govt where as Wafq is granted millions of acre is one example. there is difference what's narrated vs reality. Mayawati referred twice as symbol of new India but wont support or recognize Murmu as president, reflects Tharoor as politician. Unfortunately Tharoor spoke more as politician .
