india is hindu dominated countries but still we celebrate every religion's festival as national festival. only 2.3% are Christian in india but whole country celebrate last week of December and 25th December is national holiday in India. Same thing for other religions also. Hence we have maximum number of national holidays :)

I am not saying Muslims aren't Indians, I don't know what gave you that idea. Hindus from India like to think otherwise though and they think Muslims are some what of an alien race even though we all (regardless of our religion) look the same. Muslims have contributed so much to our Subcontinent, as did Hindus. I am a practicing Muslim from Bangladesh and the thought whether someone is Hindu or a Muslim, doesn't come to our minds at all in our daily dealings. We have Hindus and Christians in our military, how many does India have? How many Muslim ministers do you have? What ratio of Muslims vs Hindus work in high government positions? I am Indonesian, and information about the government and religion in Indonesia which this video explains is very wrong. You don't have to choose Islam, because there are 6 chosen religions and another option: Believer. Only need to choose one, because Indonesia is not open to atheists. In Indonesia, we also have cards identity like ssn. and there you must list all your identities, your name, your date of birth, your address, marital status, including what your religion is. You can rechange it as you like whenever you want. the process of changing religion is EASY. there is no connection between what your religion is and the rights of citizens that you can get. my family has different religions, so I know very well how the system is 🤗

India is really very different in its own way.. Being a Hindu majority... All other religion and minority groups will get subsidies from the govt.. The opressed tribes will get reservations in educational institutions and govt jobs.. Temples moneys, which funds Indians way of schools, the gurukuls, is taken by govt, so we hardly have gurukuls left in our country... But churches and masjids are vat free.. No taxes to the govt, even for businesses run by them.. A Hindu majority, but nothing for Hindus.. But we don't really mind that.. That's India..

India is trying to copy Israel and Saudi as jew and islamic country and pretend to be secular. How you could install a hindu state if you have more than 25% of non hindu minority and is growing everyday. I am not indian, but i am lookin forward to a more open minded and more secular india since it is the worlds largest democratic country. Set your country as an example that people can coexist regardless of religion, race or color so others will follow your steps.

Why waste government money on people who don't work and give anything back to the country? My country is developing and is bound to become one of the world's top economies. I fully agree with them having to convert as they then become proper citizens who can work, teach and serve the country. Keep in mind that there are multiple religions to choose from and this tribe found that Islam suits them best. Finally, if you didn't know, culture preservation is a big thing in Indonesia and if the other 300+ ethnic groups can keep their culture and convert to a religion, this tribe can too.

respect to indians. its horrible how much clothes we buy and waste. i fix my clothes. i sew together the holes. and if not possible to fix, can cut into pieces and make something else. it used to be that everyone had sewing machine and clothes were made at homes.. but nowerdays it is forgotten. i hope people regain their common sense and step from wasting to reasonable consumption and local made clothes. i like the idea that old clothes are made into new canvas. but why on earth so much dye is being used? recycled canvas sounds like an environmentally friendly idea but then they drown it in loads of toxic paint. dont paint it, leave it be. why have to paint again? everything does not need to be so brightly coloured

I'm Indonesian and let me tell you how in Indonesia is. Indonesia government admits only 6 religions: Islam, christian, Catholic, Budha, Hindu, and Kong hu chu. In Indonesia, your religion is written in your ID card, it is a must and the options only those religions. You can't avoid it. When you don't have the ID, you hardly get any service from the government. Yet, people and government are very tolerant to whay you believe or not believe. I guess it's just because their tribe lives near the village or location where Islam is the majority. When the majority is another religion, probably the convert to it too.

No absolutely not. The government will not provide you if you don't convert to the 6 state religions. Converting means you fulfilled one of the criteria of becoming a proper citizen and will be able to work, serve the country and so on.
