It's sad that shankar sir who inspired many modern filmmakers has lost his touch

I felt like Shankar did not give enough credits to Sujatha in Baddy’s interview. After his passing, Shankar’s movie has been nothing but disappointing. It’s high time Shankar realised he needs help with script writing. 😓

Baffled to see the amount of cringe in those killing scenes, villains turning into woman, horse, dying of saliva coming out and die out dehydration, never expected such nonsense from Shankar, looks like he's interested more in making those murders interesting The ZERO TOLERANCE point was good, but the execution was terrible And TBH, movie about Indian, all Senapathy portions looked out of place, only other were fine

So 4 plus minute reviews are not only for good movies..no more decoding from review length

After enthiran, shankar has lost his touch.might be didn't get the writter like Sujatha.. even in making he has stuck to old ...we expect shankar to do movie with high quality in storytelling, making and execution..i feel people working along with Shankar gets pressurized of his vision, like anirudh, ravi varman or the other technical team..i think shankar has to revisit his making style

As a north indian.. I had to travel 35 kms to watch this movie as the shows in my town got cancelled due to low occupancy. It's really heartbreaking for me.. that the movie of my childhood hero director couldn't even entertain me.. the shivaji references also couldn't excite me.. I'm really hurt 😔

Shankar should take voluntary retirement from cinemas so that audience mental health is saved 😂😂

I just came out of the theatre. I feel sorry for Shankar. I strongly believe that something went wrong here badly. This is not his way of storytelling at all. The cause could have been the unexpected incident, political party involvement, covid delays and production pressures, etc. subsequently, these factors reflected in the movie. No emotional intelligence Disappointing Storytelling Establishing the established story is draggy Too much spoon feeding Weak characterisations Deplorable dialogues Avoidable songs Average VFX Crummy colour grading Below par B Roll shots Sadly, the core message of the movie was diluted in the chaos. Strength to the team and more strength to the audience.

The fact is that Sujata Sir was the backbone of Shankar during all this films until before Nanban.. His unfortunate demise started showing the holes in Shankar's storytelling and consequently, his movies... ... Not to take away anything from Shankar for his success.. The technical prowess, his visionary themes, etc are all thanks to Shankar indeed.. But to bring them to the big screen in a coherent and unbridled way, was Sujata Sir all along.... And now, that absence can be Felt.... everyone only speculated when I, and 2.0 flopped at the box office, But now it is confirmed that's the reason.. Being the technical mastermind that he is, he should search within himself and bring try to bring it that creative aspect within himself to shine once again...

Its shamefully and sadly one of the worst movies of 2024. I feel so sad of Shankar as he inspired many filmmakers especially Atlee, Gadar 2 etc. Even the actions are so cringy, cheesy and too goofy. Can't believe this is Shankar's film. SPOOF PARODY of original Indian.

Late Sujatha Sir had always filled the gaps of stories with his thought provoking dialouges nd uncredited writeups, on right time !!! But that's just a memory now!!! Shanker Sir should update his styles 2 suit the mordern India!!! I mean yes I know the story of Indian 2 had written in 2017 but many much have happened after that !!! Scripts need 2 be erased or rewritten, only if the movie should connect with the present audiences !!! But attempts can make course corrections if necessary!!! But still I'll watch Indian 2, 4 the final, Indian 3!!!

All issues of this film could have been solved with technical readjustments. I'm done with Anirudh's bgm, don't care about his crazy fan following. He hasn't let a single scene maintain a consistent mood. Background score is for the subconscious, not for what's in front of your eyes. Also, others following the Shankar-style filmmaking is fine but Shankar shouldn't make movies like his assistants. We can excuse other directors but not the ones who redifined cinema for us, nit masters. EXECUTION SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.

I feel bad for SJ SURYAH, he was under utilized in the movie - I really dont like the way he was presented, with no proper character development. DID HE PLAY like a cameo role or something? I EXPECTED ALOT - SHANKAR REALLY WASTED THAT BIG HOUSE SET FOR SJ SURYAH - JUST FOR FEW SHOTS...GOODNESS - and SJ SURYAH said in interview...that one house set cost around 8 crores...damn..........SO MANY ILLOGICAL SCENES for the INDIAN THATHA, OKAY THEY TRY TO MAKE IT UP LIKE OH THERE WAS A GRANDMASTER IN CHINA.....he was 100 plus years old and he was so disciplined in everything and can do the martial arts..... but that scene of UNICYCLE chase scene and that VIKRAM MOVIE "I" look alike fight scene - where the fighters really took out the shirts just to flex...bruhhh who will do that, just finish the fight - god how did they even shoot this kind of scenes....INDIAN 1 was a success back then for the realistic classic filmmaking style with amazing ar rahman mysterious bgm....it brings us the curiosity and interest to watch more varma kalai executions......THIS ANIRUDH, WHAT A WORST WORK EVER.....he did this worst bgm like SENAAAA SENAAAAA and then one kind of jingles - that repeating that COMEBACK INDIAN TUNE....bloody hell, these people earning crores of indian rupees but working so badly.

I say the same thing when watching "I". Many scenes in 2nd half are very repetitive. I just want to go home.

The saddest part is , Other than spreading hatred , No one understand the core of this movie, feel pity for them all. The director has mocked the fans especially 2k kids bringing the iconic Indian thatha character behave like a sadist or psychopath who enjoys his killings under the tag Zero Tolerance . We people are not even aware of the fact we are being mocked , because we as a common man got immune to Corruption and live with greed . No matter how many movie comes about corruption . There will be no self discipline in us.

After seeing the Indian 2 trailer I was scared about the content of the movie. My guess was right. The film may be worth only on OTT at my relative's / friend's TV.

As always BR delivers it to point & outlines what exactly to expect. A colossal dissapointment is how Shankar yet again seems to throw it away. Here he has a wonderful producer, a great opportunity, a wonderful story that could have been milked to throw appropriate questions but alas what we get is what could have been....

I really feel this is not the original script for Indian, I mean the movie commenced on 2017 was shelved due to some untimely human error, was once again revived, and everyone knows who revived this( சிவப்பு ராட்சதர்கள்) I feel them reviving is the sole reason for the movie coming out has a complete shti show. Definitely shankar would have compromised in many parts just to please and stay away from controversy by oodhay naa.

I think instead of bringing back senapathy they should’ve brought back his son as the new Indian thatha. That would’ve been a better plot than trying to make us believe that he’s the same person and he’s aging but aging fine doing all these unbelievable stunts. This is very pathetic explanation.

Shankar seems to be unable to focus on storytelling with big budget (techno) movies, unlike his earlier small-medium budget that only needed direction and story focus for most part.

Absolute Disaster for the Indian franchise .😢..they destroyed Indian 1 thatha ....they could have just had the old slow Indian 1 thatha getup..it would have been a hit ...they made changes to his make up and made him modern ripped old man...just lost the authenticity of that Indian thatha ....complete disaster..no frame worked in the movie

The best spiritual sequels to Indian are Anniyan/Aparachit and Atlee's Jawan and to an extent most Mahesh Babu movies. What was the purpose of this remake?

The chase and the climax are just outrageous. Felt extremely disappointed to habe watched a movie of this quality from Shankar and Kamal.

Relavant ideas, lost in writing and execution

If indian 3 had an actual story line, indian 2 should have been just relevant scenes from 2 and 3 edited and put together as one movie. Just because the movie was shot for more than a few years doesn't mean it should be released as 2 parts. It seems like a desperate effort to sell a very expensive film.

Only if you have 100% tolerance you can watch this film, the screenplay is very cliche, and at many places the movie is boring or gives us a cringe feeling, that too many scenes are too long which tests your patience, Goundamani Sir comedy, ARR music are a big miss, acting also there is no big scope for Kamal Sir

Created by Shankar in 1996, The Iconic Indian Thatha Character we all have been celebrating has been made a big mockery by the director himself! I'd like to know if the Director got stressed about meeting the expectations of the current trend 2k audience. Indian Thatha is our nation's Superhero! A Master in VarmaKalai.

As a line this is solid ..got carried away .. hope there is something interested is saved for part 3.

Personally, Indian 2 never evoked any hype or interest for me, be it teaser, trailer, songs. Everything was mid. And seeing how Siddharth and SJ Suriya were hyping up this movie like anything was such a crime.

One of the reasons why A R Rahman didn't do this movie.......as he has experienced with 2.0.......... had he done the music, that would have been the only strong point of the movie......he knew this was not a purposeful sequel.........well done, wise decision Rahman.

It ia time both Shankar and Kamal retires. Past performance is not a guarantee for future. Sujatha missing ia very visible. Sujatha, iam sure would have given lot of practical advice to Sankar and Kamal. Movie actors and directors have freedom to try out lot of non sense. But it should not be at our expense.

What else would you expect from a project where the director was forced to complete the project by court order. Shankar seemed so sad in the promotions. Shankar’s failure is attempting to create a sequel to an over exhausted subject. But the irony is Lyca which is under investigation for corruption and their closed ties to Rajapkasa produces a movie preaching about ‘corruption’ 😂

Shankar blamed arr for 2.0 failure but who he is gonna blame this time . I really don't know how did they thought these kind of movies will work with today's audiance . ARR did mention in a interview "Shankar feels 2.0 music little too experimental for the movie" one of the reason not music alone.
