Actually there were some missing documents which I forgot to send along with my application and I was not able to understand what exactly what VFS is asking me, after that I saw this video and able to figure it out how to get the "Government Application form" Thank you again.

Her passport was stamped saying "cancelled due to acquiring foreign nationality". Now we are in process of applying OCI for her. Do we need to obtain renunciation/surrender certificate in order to get OCI?

How long does it usually take for VFS to send you the certificate once they receive the application by mail?

Ironically, this process is still slightly different (from VFS) depending on where you have acquired your naturalization or citizenship i.e. for Australia it has a different checklist and process which took me over 2 days to figure out. The worse part of this is, I had submitted my application by post but it came back as 'Rejected' just because Indian Government had decided to change the process once AGAIN, which poor Google search algorithm couldn't figure out and the forms I sent happened to be outdated (not to mention I had to perform further research and it still cost me $50 in this process). Good luck everyone, this application couldn't be any more complicated that this! Thanks for the video btw, very helpful for those who reside in the USA.

Photograph and signature - checklist says original and digital - what does this mean, please elaborate...do we sign on reverse side of photo? 3. After we complete payment to vfs we get an email with attached pdf of renunciation certificate. Can we sign and send 2 of this as original docs to vfs? 3. Can we use paper clip to secure all the docs or just send them loose in the envelop? Appreciate an early reply

My email, phone number and address wont fit in the space provided. I have seen your time stamp below on how to edit forms with screen shots but taking a screen shot of the entire form and editing it seems like a nightmare. Any tips?

Hi Suja this video has been very informational and helpful. While i try to fill details for renunciation i keep getting an error message "Our servers have not received a response from your bank or card company, or you have not completed the payment process. If you are getting this message means that response is still awaited, and this may take up to 5 hours . If you don’t get any email notification in 5 hours, then retrieve your application and complete the payment process again". Have you ever come across this and if yes what have you done to resolve this i have been trying to get through this since 24 hours without success. Can you shed some light ?

I have a quick question, when filling out the renunciation certificate online, not all the information is displayed. Essentially what i mean is for certain columns in the form, for example like address : it can only hold so much information. After entering the information and when i try to print it out, the information is kind of cut off. Is it normal, is it acceptable? Do i need to use any specific software to fill out the form? Can i print it out and fill it by hand?
