My father worked as truck driver in the 80's. I remember the stories he told me about the floods of Assam, the dakats of chambal and falling rocks from Himalayan mountains.
@@blackrabbit212 Chambal is the remote place in Madhya Pradesh state. This place is worse due to bandit and goons. It is the worst place for vehicle drivers because they have looted and killed many people.
I have been driving (cars )in India since the last 45 yrs and I can say that I totally agree with you. I have noticed, Indian Truck Drivers are the most patient, and traffic rule abiding people in the country. The nightmares through which they drive with small cars and motor bikes wizzing past from the wrong side, with pedestrians not willing to move an inch off the road, and yes always passing thru' hostile country, at times not even knowing the language, is something that needs to be seen at close quarters to be believed. On regular routes in this huge country, they know every hutment ( and the women available ) every toddy shop ( a bad habit with them) and places of R&R. They always know how to deal with the corrupt policeman, and talk their way out of trouble. Hats off to them.
Yeah they're skilled drivers, but you better pray not to encounter them on highways at around midnight. They're so good at driving that they don't even use brakes anymore, only accelerate.
Αs a truck driver from the westish cultue and regions (Greece here) I can confirm that those Indian truck drivers are extremely crazy, driving those old trucks on those roads and on those conditions. Salute!
The truckers have to drive through the mountains, passes, snow, from regions infested with terrorists to dry river valleys hiding robbers and pirates, from rainy flood plains of Assam to humid tropical coasts of Tamil Nadu. They face a lot, yet they get very little.
@@kingezhsepo These are Tempo Hanseat Tricycles, German Designs from the 1950s, produced for a long Time in India as well. Originally these only had small, 2 Stroke Singly Cylincer Engines, but I think in India many of them are now running on old Stationary Diesel Engines.

If you drive truck in canda or usa i still digest because their is some work culture in these country but not india..

The Ice Road Truckers came to India to do two weeks of some of the hardest routes in the country and the girl driver one the competition, but many just got out and walked away. One guy left within a few hours after 2 crashes just getting out of the town. They had to do the Himalayan pass to Pakistan and I have been on that route in a bus from hell and a mad mad driver as time is money and I thought we would die. Really. Hats off to the ones who live over 50.
It was the 2010 season and it was on netflixs, not sure if it still is. It was fun to watch. This one ol boy, who did pretty good, readily admitted how scared he was. He not only did pooja between the passes, but he bought a load of watermelons and gave them to poor people, thinking that would build up some good karma to help him survive. I also liked the part where that pretty lady just broke down and became feeble with fear.

@@earthman6700 I'm sure they stayed clear of drugs anyway - you know how asia is - they can use like it's candy, but the second that a westerner touches it (even trying to hit a simple joint passed to them) BAM they get busted and then extorted. Besides, truckers in the USA and canada get random drug tested a lot, because of how expensive their wrecks are, so insurance companies demand drug screening, and even give better rates for hair follicle testing. This is the main reason they make 60K-80K usd annually nowadays.

Great that you appreciated the Indian truck driver. Almost any profession in India is a struggle. I am a doctor. And let me tell you very few western medical students would make it through the entrance examination of the Indian medical schools. Twenty hour study sessions, university exams where half the examinees are meant to fail are some of the starting features of studying medicine. Seeing 150 patients a day in 43 degree heat, sitting in a room with no air conditioning or thirty six hour continous Labour Room duty delivering 48 children in that time period is all in the day's work.

Every time I think traffic in my city is bad, I just think of the wild and crazy traffic over in India. Big kudos to everyone who has to drive through that for a living.
Your comment made me think. Indian truck drivers on highway sometimes hit some one including some animal and people around get very mad. Your comments hold lots of truth. They work long hours for much less salary, drive through very stressful traffic, difficult terrine, they drive very basic driving machine and deliver goods all over the nation. I have seen long line of trucks entering Mumbai from Thane creek. They are in line for 4 to 5 hours just to 'enter' through 'Toll',. They keep inching up meaning can't off the engine! This is one tough job and deserve some appreciation. Thank you for the video.

The Indian National Highways are the arteries of the nation but the truck drivers are the blood that rushes through them to invigorate and boost the economy via transportation of essential goods and commodities. Salute to these unsung heroes. This is one of the best tributes to Indian truck drivers that I have seen. Amazing!
Loving this channel I'm from UK and live a totally different way of life to these people I was at first thinking I had the better Deal but in actual fact they may not have alot but they never stop smiling they make the most of their lives also they are so much more self sufficient than us Brit,s we are totally Knackered if we ever have a power cut or if god forbid our Wifi goes off (Unless that's just me ) But it's TRUE these lovely people are so much stronger than most and if not for this channel I wouldent know so cheers Mr Bald xx
The indian truckers drive much carefully and let you overtake them. The "Horn ok please" or "we two ours two" behind most trucks always brings a smile..Contrast this with Bus drivers (especially private buses)..they are rogues with their rash driving and constant honking..gets on ones nerves

Now THIS is how you make money to travel. Indian RU-vid is a big market, flatter them and then this is a viable option to make a living travelling. That's awesome! I agree but... i have come too close to death thanks to these GODS lol. They however are the best technical truckers out there, no gadgets, cameras, sensors and yet go through areas where a nano would not.

Love your videos :). Just one correction mate, Lord Krishna didn't have physical relationship/company with 16000 girls. He only had one proper wide Rukmani. He saved those 16000 girls who were kidnapped by an evil king and took then with him in his kingdom which is somewhere in the modern day Middle-eastern region. And the problem was that now King was defeated and the girls were free to go, they were not going to be accepted by the society anywhere, hence the girls requested Krishna to give them a boon for better life for rest of their remaining life. Hence, Krishna accepted them as their own with the queen status so that they can enjoy the lavish life afterall been through such bad conditions. Namaste :))

Im a american truck driver lol. You are right we are spoiled, my seats are heated and air conditioned, got a fridge, sattelite tv and wifi. I would say indian truckdrivers are the real truckers. Having to go through all that terrain each day. Never knowing when it will be their last day. Respect for them. Keep up the good work indian truckers
No one knows what the G stands for. Back in the day Parle released an ad campaign. It's slogan was "G maane Genius". That is, G is for Genius. But those ads have been long abandoned. Now Parle has basically stopped advertising Parle G.

101x997, yeah that was one reason we used to attend sprints in schools back in the days; the incentive of getting glucose powder, which would melt on tongue with a chilly sensation, we used to get after each race!! Thank you for reminding me of this!
Indeed.. there were once a foreigner(india) working in my company who can drive big lorry, forklift, vans, and all sorts of dangerous machine. They do not complain even once to me bout their hardlife. Respect is the word
You know Mr. Bald the vehicle that you see at 0.45 and 1.29 minutes /seconds is from WWII era and is of German origin and you can still find and get a ride in such vehicles in India, plz mind the horizontal gear system that the driver was pushing and pulling, I thought it's an interesting piece of information, so shared, people can correct me if I am wrong
Thanks for your words that INDIAN TRUCKERS ARE WORLD'S GREATEST DRIVERS ..in INDIA we have many STRICT RULES n LAWS of everything ..but our CULTURAL,our SOCIETY makes Indian very humble,polite ..we can TOLERATE many things cos we live together,we help each other.we over looks many small mistakes if ever done by someone on road/street or anywhere..we adjust things. usually we don't go to police station to file complain against someone if the matter is not so serious ..Our society n religion teach us from our childhood that love domestic animals specially cows ..so everyone feed them on street / road side and no one get angry if they ( cow) ever come on roads/streets.. NEVERTHELESS OUR GOVT has made very strict rule for many domestic animals and they are exercised very well by local govt time to time..

My pappa was lorry driver...he n his brother also travelled North India from Karnataka Mangalore..my papa taught me driving ..m poor driver..I need to give this 😘😘😘😘😘😘 to my hero baldhe s more than any top Indian film actors...a true hero...
I am of inian descent and no sir Indian drivers are not better or less skilled than ice road truckers of Alaska or northern bc . Both are equally hard and challenging . In India you have to constantly worry abt hitting humans and animals , in northern bc and Alaska you have to constantly worry abt ice breaking due to weight overload and you and your truck signing in ice water and freezing to death. I have driven trucks in India and north America both are equally challenging . Only thing I must hand out to Indian truckers is they work so hard for such less money . Not to be bragging but as a long hauler flat bed trucker I gross over 200 thousand Canadian dollars a year . That's close to a crore . It's more rewarding here and people respect you more . But yes a big salute ,to Indian truckers for having this level of dedication with such less financial reward . God speed . Love your videos .
You're watching the opinion of someone who has never drove a truck, and derives his opinion on non indian truckers from Ice Road Truckers, it's like me watching star wars and thinking I know all about astronomy . This guy should change his channel name to bald and dense.
while i agree that both may be equally challenging but one fact you can not deny is the vehicles that most of the indian truckers drive are complete shit, while what you drive in canada is state of the art with all the modern gadgets you could require which i'm sure makes your life on the road somewhat bearable...but no such chance for your indian counterparts

I'm with you there, bald, except for the "gods" bit. Yeah, I know what you mean, but the trucker blokes are just good old blokes, nary god among them. Now, I do indeed respect the work all truck drivers around the world do! Yes, India's needs do move by truck! To all good respectful truckers, I salute you too!
Your head may be bald and bankrupt without hairs, but its full of intelligence moreover your heart is large enough to appreciate others efforts without any jelousy. Definitely it requires a lot of patience to drive in india, which indian poor people have a lot. Poor people are just like a shock absorber of the vehicles. I always say whenever I drive through the highways, that truck drivers are safe and patient drivers. They always drive in their lanes, never try to overtake unnecessarily, never make stunts on the road like others do, let others overtake very easily and happily. We can see so many beautiful slogans at the back of their truck. Like... better late than never. Go slow, give horn. Drive safe, somebody’s waiting for you at home. And so many. Thanks.
