You need to be fired. She do not deserve a generational talent. She’s squandering people for time and money while playing a losing style of basketball.

Caitlin is not the problem, the coach is. Sides needs to go. NOW!

The maddest person about CC going to the Indiana fever is the coach. Now their coach has 10s of 1000s more eyes on her to see how incompetent her coaching skills are.

There is a reason Indiana had the first pick in the draft...they are awful. Limited size and athleticism...poor movement and spacing without the ball...lack of team chemistry are all visible while watching them play. And did I mention that many of them can't catch the damn ball? It is early and I'm trying not to overreact as many things will sort themselves out but I have seen nothing from the coach in terms of leadership or strategy. She surely has known for quite a while that she would be coaching C.C. but seems totally at a loss as to what to do. Regardless of whether they succeed or fail this season,Clark has got to be their primary ball handler in order for this team to take full advantage of her skills but the coach seems to feel differently which at some point will cost her this job.

The coach must be fired

CC does not fit this team’s philosophy. Be the PG you were drafted to be; or be a team that continues to operate a low post game that will only translate to another losing season. Sides is now 13/29, and counting.

Coach Sides was 13-27 last year starting off the same this year. So seems to me it is a coaching issue! Coach Sides needs to go she has gotten CC inside her own head and has hurt her.

The Fever were terrible last season. The Fever are terrible this season with the best scorer in college basketball. Do you think it just might be the caliber of coaching?

Coach is an idiot! Puts Clark in the corner & Wheeler at PG. Wheeler didn’t even look Clark’s way. Teammates can’t catch & can’t keep up with Clark. Clark was part of the 5 on court in 3rd when Fever had a good stretch & pulled within 11, so what does Coach do? Changes lineup for 4th quarter, the lineup that had been ineffective & end up getting blown out. Can tell Coach has favorites & who plays is impacted by this. Said she was impressed by Taylor in 2nd preseason game but has yet to play her in regular season. The list goes on & on, not to mention coach’s unprofessional is in pressers.

Sides will be coaching in junior high somewhere in Montana real soon. She is coaching old time low post crap and does not have a clue how to coach Caitlin up tempo style.

Coach needs to go and wheeler needs to go. Having the scoring champion only shooting eight times is a disgrace

All I know is what I see and what I see, the other players don’t pass to Caitlyn, Coach Sides is trying to change Caitlyn’s style of play instead of improving it, and the offensive strategy of Coach sides is not working. I say the coach needs to change strategy or given her walking papers.

Excellent analysis. Only time will tell. However, taking CC out of her natural PG position only makes a rebuild with new teammates much more difficult.

Great coaches (Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Chuck Daly, etc.) put their great players in a position to be successful (Jordan, Bird, Magic). Sides is holding back her players to have them play within a structure she thinks is best. The Problem is, Sides has had no success in leading/coaching a team since she was in college (2000). She was a good college player, which doesn't make her a good coach!

The coach blames Clark, but she coached the team to a 13-27 record last season and ended up with the number pick in this year’s draft!!! Clearly the coach doesn’t know what she’s doing!!! Yes, Caitlin led the nation in assists, but now in the pros we've seen many of her passes get picked off by outstanding defenses. I'm a Caitlin fan, but we need to be honest here. There is definitely an adjustment period, and she's going through it. She's an incredible player, but she's also human. At the same time, there were an awful lot of missed layups and other short shots by multiple Fever players in the Liberty game, and this has to be at least partly on the coach. It doesn't look like the practices are preparing them appropriately.

The wnba system is trash. Griner's statement has deeper meaning. Don't put all blame on Coach, she just following orders...this is business, even the best team and best players in the NBA would step aside when the coin is tossed.

If the coach is blaming the rookie after 2 goes into the season...she had issues. Perhaps the problem is the bad coaching! Sides doesn't know how to utilize her players correctly. I agree the coach needs to get it together soon or needs to go! Try coaching instead of blaming! Caitlin's definitely not to blame here!

Clark & Boston are the few players on Fever that have ever had this many eyes and fans watching the game. They want to be in the spotlight and show some highlights! Most of them failed. Not playing as a team, out for themselves and keeping a roster spot/pay check. That's a win for most, not for Clark!

Several things can be true at the same time first Caitlyn Clark is adjusting to the talent level within the league 2 Boston and the other bigs have to set better pics and make better decisions when they get the ball in their hands they are not scoring indoor rebounding well 3 the offensive sets are not attacking the double teams of the ball whenever the fever and/or Kate when have the ball The double teams are Disrupting the offense and coach sides has not been good at adjusting.. My feeling is you spread the floor and create larger lanes so double teams are not as easy

Sides and her team were losers before CC arrived. Sides has been using her team to make everybody else look good. As long as she's coach of that team, she'll run them as an ego booster for the rest of the league. They were all giddy about stomping CC, and I think that was part of the plan.

The problem is Caitlin underestimated the competition and the competition upped their game due to her hype. These veteran women in the WNBA were insulted when people jumped on Caitlin and the new draft class being good enough to make people watch now. Caitlin is young. She’ll get better, but she has to mature more physically. The media and many of her racist fans hurt Caitlin by placing so much pressure on her. Just about in my feed everyday it’s some RU-vidr talking about WOKE politicizing Caitlin. Caitlin hangs out with black people. Caitlin even supports Reese, but somehow they overlook it. Now the media and those fans are blaming everyone, but her which is nonsense. It’s as if their channeling racism through Caitlin to justify their hatred for black people. If Caitlin didn’t have all this publicity she probably perform much better. The coach has fault too, but Caitlin is a rookie making rookie mistakes. When kids are seniors and graduate high school they’re at the top. If they attend college it’s starts all over as freshman.

Sides is out of her depth. The team have no game plan…. Cannot adapt. Fever have no strengths offensively or defensively. CC will be ok BUT she has to learn how to lose.
