Very cool! I love how you've captured the "spirit" of the attraction rather than a 1:1 copy of the experience via the effect of a floating jeep, bugs all over (and not just projections), and "real" rats, etc. I think the only thing missing is a falling debris effect to recreate what the original Imagineers intended for the long-defunct ice effect. Can't wait to see all 3 versions alluded to in the intro!
I have the falling debris effect working now which replaces the falling ice effect that broke. The next video will have a number of fixes and polish, also features the Fountain of Youth gift.
I absolutely love this! I've been to Disney countless times but never rode this ride, unfortunately. Seems like it was a real beloved blast. Also, love the skeletons with VR headsets on. Good gag. Keep being awesome!
Indy is Absolutely a must ride at Disneyland. I was working at Disneyland when it was being built so I had a chance to test ride Indy while it was still being finalized. Still holds up, I made a few changes I'd like to see added or changed. 🤠
I just rode it twice last June so it's all fresh in my mind and I'm shocked at how close it already is to the real deal. Very nicely done and I look forward to the final version (if only so that I never need to use a lightning lane pass on the real thing again. :)
There are better special effects here, than the 'updated' retrofit from 10 months ago at the Disneyland ride in real life. Change nothing, polish this gem to it's full radiance! Might consider doing the Disney Paris, and other global variations, or versions as a separate ride attractions.
We are hard at work on the next version which is based on some great feedback received on this first playthrough. Once this is done, that's it for me for Indy Attractions 🤠It's been years of work to get to his point and I'm moving on to another project.
Love this, especially as I am the Imagineer of Metaverse Adventures Theme Park for the Meta Quest which also has highly detailed dark rides on par with Disney. I really cannot wait to try this as it looks very well made. When will it be ready?
Awesome. I'm checking out your videos now. We have been doing this in our spare time so no hard timeline for release. I just hope to get the project as polished as possible then start sharing a free VR build when we are ready.
I like this. It gives me a great feeling for what the ride could be if Disney refurbished it a bit more. though I have a few questions: 1: what will be the updates/patches? 2: How come the Idol didn't do anything when you broke the rule? 3: What about the other paths? But I do like the fact that you used gaming-type effect to make a better experience for us. like how when we turn towards the gates of Doom, it looks like there's a huge hole, but then a lightning beam pulls us towards the gates. and instead of just a green light, the fire skull actually shoots a laser beam, coming out of a charging portal-esque hole. My favorite feature that differs, however, is the blow darts actually look like darts, but come out a little too late because we can see the poison trail. Great Recreation.
This is our first beta release of what the VR experience will be. There are still features that need to be polished. The next video will have improved lighting and some new effects. One effect on the list if the animated "angry" Mara Face.
Idea for that: Eyes turn red, lighting gets brighter, the face frowns a lot more, and then it appears the mouth opens laughing behind you as you enter the lightning room. Plus, this could use some in-game exclusive sound effects. ex: what if in the 3 doors room, as your door opens, you hear it creak? Those would help.
