I'm fluent in both, english and finnish. I dont even want to talk about english version and finnish version. The lyrical content is different. This song is kind of an prayer where one asks to be left in darkness. The words are strong as such and I mayby would have preferred it to be translated to english instead of making new lyrics for it. This is also my favorite indica song, mayby even my favorite song ever sung in finnish. (But that is a lot of songs and I tend to forget some quite often.)
I love this song, and many other from Indica, so much I learnt them in Finnish. I prefer the songs in Finnish to English, but I can understand why they are turning to singing in English. Don't lose the Finnish totally girls!!!
I love Indica, and like Amoremorte6166, I only understand English but still prefer this song. I get such a great feeling listening to this song, and I know many others do as well, as even with almost 100,000 views(100k yay for Indica!), it has no dislikes, something I have rarely seen. I admit I first heard of straight and arrow. And I really liked the whole feel of the song. But this? This is something totally different. Being used in non-english songs I have to say that this is fucking amazing! Keep it up ladies and don't lose the language!
I still know the chorus of this song by heart in Finnish after all these years. Indica and Nightwish were the reasons I started learning Finnish, although I didn't really learn much. Anyway, learning Finnish is garbage in Serbia, you don't really need it anywhere.
Nah, I lost interest after all these years. Started to learn Georgian, lost interest too. You really need to either be in contact with those people/need it for something or have a teacher to learn a language.
Actually - there is nothing *inherently* difficult in Finnish - it just happens not to be an Indo-European language - and thus uses a bit *different* logic for encoding ideas into words and sentences. Because of being *different* it can indeed be difficult to learn for example to an English speaker - but as said it is not difficult in any absolute sense.

I prefer Indica in Finnish. This song is completly different from the english equivalent. It's so better, they are two completly differents songs. IMHO.

Where it says "I'm washable" it means she says she's staying strong in her beliefs/resist despite being pushed/tweaked into something (f.e. cult). Something like that. Neither of those are good translation there... Unfortunately. I think the lyrics is about being yourself and staying strong despite difficulties in life and not go join some religious cult that then owns you and tells you what to do and so.

Hungarian indeed belongs to the same language group (Fenno-Ugrian), but the distance from Finnish is about the same (provided these measures are meaningful at all) as the distance between e.g., English and Hindi, both in the Indo-European group.
