#QoD - Question of the Day: What do you think is the most significant factor influencing the US-China rivalry in the Indo-Pacific region? Is it the military alliances, economic power, or something else? Share your thoughts below! 🌏🔍 #China #USA #PacificOcean
It's MONEY. Take a look at the "Cross-Border Currency Chart" that depicts the USD and the Renminbi. This chart shows the "crossing" of the adoption of the Renminbi - with the USD is being "dumped". The Renminbi is now being used more than the USD - and that has people like Gramma Yellin running scared - as they should be.
China released bioweapon that destroyed the global economy. US president was infected, that is an act of war. China sent military object into US airspace, another act of war.
Asians ' Asia-Pacific, not US Indo-Pacific. Just a handful of the countries in the region are in the latter's pocket. The majority are neutral and peace loving.
The US Colonies are thinning out. The Manila Colony appears to be abused by the West, perhaps as some punishment? A few Industries departed for China, but the US likes to limit the amount of resources they find difficult to exploit? After Nam decided that being a Colony was getting old, there appears a number of nations who seem to lose Colony status? The Empire Falls, generally.
Many countries take a neutral position or even Pro US only because they are afraid sanctions openly or covertly, regime change, being selectively pinpointed on "human rights" issues ect. If these governments have a chance to vote anonymously on international issues, they will most likely vote against US
@@GGLEDOU The Colonial Exploitation of the US and all the other Nations who have made their fortunes on Colonial Exploitation, now appear to desire their Colonies support once again? The Colonies moving behind a BRICS Wall has limited the ability of the USA to exploit them. The inflation as "Supply Chain" Nations dedicate their resources to trade that is not dictated by US Commodity Brokers, is the current problem facing the American Empire.... Without the delivery of resources at the price the Commodity Brokers in the USA set, the profits appear to be missing from the Economic situation? The limitations of Capitalism to actually pay for the resources that enable their profits, appear to demonstrate that Capitalism has exceeded its limitations? Without Colonial Exploitation, Capitalism appears to fail?
I think Lyingskie needs to know that in the current Russia and Ukraine conflict it is pointless to have a discussion without Russia, Ukraine might be able to reach so sort of agreement with US and NATO partners in a meeting in Switzerland but without Russian agreement it means nothing.
Zelenskyy appears to be installed By Victoria Nuland. Now that She retired from the US State Department He has no Director, ti instruct his actions. Ukraine is a Tool the West wants to use to attack and diminish Russian Economic status. The Resources that Russia has within it's borders are what the West need to continue industrial production. The Resources that now appear to be owned by Nations who are associates of the BRICS Group, seem to own around 70% of available resources on the planet. The G-7 Group who built their lifestyles and industries on Colonial Exploitation, now see their former Colonies move behind a BRICS Wall. The "Supply Chain" that Economists and Politicians discuss, are the former Colonies that BRICS appears to now represent. They attempt to color the discussion with polite terms. The UN has condemned Colonial Exploitation.
What is Nato doing here in South East Asia? We dont need warmongers/imperialists in this region. Leave us along to live in peace. When the US talks about security, they mean inciting instability.
we all support with China Russia we all know Asia Pacific is home land palace in here China so u.s. for no value in asia why u.s. for home land in in united state, we Asia need China, and nato u.s. allies against China we know nato master u.s.
The USA spent their money on creating a Colony in Vietnam. They then invented a different form of Currency to support the desire to dominate. How are they doing so far?
Why it is always about US security and hell with anyone else. Having over 800 military bases around the globe is not secure enough I feel sorry for those who have none. I am for the BRICS group putting their resources together and start acquiring bases to provide them with a sense of security.
After WW2 the USA (4% of global pop.) had 50% of the world's wealth. Obviously this was the "good life" and "good ol' days" many Americans are still dreaming of which started ending during the 1990s. Before, they had lived well at the expense of 95% of the planet which was left with the other 50% of wealth/resources. Today (US is still roughly 4% of gobal pop.) it has declined to 30% of global wealth, rapidly falling every year, and if East Asia is going to rise futher demanding more wealth and resources for their own populations which are on average poorer that Americans (and Westerners), what are US leaders going to do about it?
Measuring "Wealth" with Currency does fluctuate with markets. The USA along with the rest of the G-7 Nations, now split up around 20% of available resources. Wealth in Quantity that provides a reasonable amount of Stability, is affected by Exchange Rates.
The US defense secretary talked about "US is safe only if Asia is safe.. .", that is too dishonest about its strategic motives. Why not plainly admitting its strategic motive to contain China and maintain its dominance? Just like in Middle East having Israel fighting the forces going against US and using Ukraine fighting Russia. Africa also has conflicts and there are no big power nations going against US, so where is the help in the region from the US?
The Nutty Yahoo appears to express the US Empires efforts to dominate? They appear ruthless as they kill any Human who interferes with the expansion of the Empire. That seems to be the intended purpose of a group of European Settlers in a Hostile environment? The appear to be running out of Bullets and Bucks?
Herbert Hoover went to China seeking resources to develop. He was blamed for a GOP Majority in Congress seeking Domination in 1929. He may have had good intentions and suggested some liberal concepts, but He carried the blame. Perhaps Colonial Exploitation is not such a good plan?
US and allies have hundreds of military bases and aircraft carriers surrounding China and Russia but nothing from them in the Gulf of Mexico or in the Caribbean islands yet. 🏝 😅😂 talking to the US is a waste of time. Actions are necessary. US never had large bombs on US soil as yet so US think they are safest places in the world. 😅 😂
The US exploited their domestic sources of resources by 1980. The effort to keep free resources arriving at US Ports, was providing profits for Commodity Brokers. Now the profits appear to have run out? The Resources no longer arrive as they did.
Zelensky objective coming to Singapore Shangri la forum is to get Asia countries to attend the Ukraine peace conference in swiss. But zelensky doesn't understand that Asia, especially ASEAN countries world always stand on neutrality and not take side. Not attending Ukraine conference is definitely the reply he gets, so zelensky accusation on China is a blatant lie. He has created an image of himself to Asia, bsd image. His conference without Russia participation means his one sided projection of what peace advantages for Ukraine. Thus the conference objective is to gather support against Russia. He thinks Asian countries are stupid to fall into his trap. Dream on.
South Korea and Japan depend on the China market for their economic well being. China had a trilateral meeting and made it clear the reality. Both South Korea and Japan had their chips market in China destroyed by the US following allowing US pressure to kill billions of dollars of the Chinese market. Can South Korea and Japan afford abandoning the Chinese market? Philippines have always been a tool for the US but Philippines cannot afford to do well economically without China. Australia recently made up with China and had lost billions of dollars exports to China because the whites in Australia believe they will prevail. The AUKUS isn't a sure thing because it costs billions that Australia do not have. Other than Phillipines, the rest of South East Asia or ASEAN is the biggest trading partner with China, bigger that Europe and US combined. without economic heft no country, including the US, canfight a war. Taiwan has been warned that should they believe the Americans will shed blood to save Taiwan, then the world haven't learn any hard lesson of how US operate. Look at how Germany have been thrown under the bus by US. The entire Europe still BELIEVE they are exceptional when they are not. It's interesting times.
The Philippines economic trade in china is just small and it will not affect. If philippines ban chinese product it is chinas loss not the philippines.
Time will tell. The over consensus of the people of PI will understand better then few elites. From lost poll I think over 80% business prefer stable relationship. Hope things will settle soon. Is not good for ASEAM progress.
@@mystictraveler8642 Dont misled us! There are two Koreas, North and South. North korea is an ally of china no doubt about it but South Korea is a solid ally of US. Thats the fact!
@@shiromaru8236 What chinas doing in the sea and to our country is beyond irrepairable. It will be a living testimony of our children and grand children and the future generation of our country. We will never TRUST CHINA AGAIN!
Asian countries all have to unite at a critical time like this. They should support china since china does not want foreigners using asian countries as a war play ground
Asian Unity appears to be something the British Empire was afraid of? The concept of Trade among Neighboring Nations, seems to divert resources from the Empire. The ability to travel freely and find useful employment in Asia has implications that the US Empire does not approve. Directing Refugees into Europe to create problems has been a Hobby of the NATO forces for over 20 years. Prosperity for all, seems to overcome the Greed that exploits the Planet for Profits.
@vkpkck They are not threatening taiwan. That's what the western media outlets have framed their narrative. Launching in every angle of the phrase " China might attack Taiwan" or " China will invade taiwan." Those are all western narratives. It makes the masses project as if china is the aggressor. Just like how the US media reports about the philippines. A great example is north korea. How US and its S. Korean puppet idealogues provoke north korea and when n. Korea reacts, the US media have a frenzy and publishes reports on n. Korea to make them look like the aggressor. This is what the US does. They have been doing this for decades and decades with every country they go after.
@@vkpkck The USA appears to be arming Manila to threaten China. 4 new military bases there. Japan and Korea get Missile to point at China. China just offered to trade with those Guys and forget supporting the USA.. The threats appear to be from the USA who do not like the Competition that BRICS Provides. The Media seem to say what they are told.
The most important thing is that the Ukrainian President Zelensky is not a Slav, but a Jew. The people who sacrificed themselves in Ukraine and reduced consumption were all Slavs. Isn't this ironic? Look at the Jews in Gaza, Palestine, who massacred Palestinian civilians. This is a different form of genocide.
It's funny to see the US act like a drunken sailor. Uncle Sam is not aware of his current location. I am confident that the matter of concern among Asian neighbors should be tackled to resolve their disagreements, just like in other parts of the world when it comes to maritime issues. Showing respect to the anti-war movement in the Asian Southeast, would be appreciated. War is not a solution when it's not your concern. Please, take the "world base order " stick to where the sun will not shine
They want the Resources of the Planet, that have not been already exploited, till there were no Profits to be extracted. Domestic sources of Minerals and other material, were overdeveloped by 1980. They now desire everyone to deliver their goods Capitalism appears to now face an immense challenge to the Fiat Currency that buys problems. The Currency is beginning to appear worthless.
As usual Am-Boy Philippine President Bong-Bong, even his late father Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, people power, he escaped to Hawaii, as usual 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🤑🤑🤑👺👺👺⚖️⚖️⚖️--👨🏽🦽🌴🦅☕️
Hank was instrumental in creating the Prospect for America that was used to create the conflict in Vietnam. Then He supposedly ended the conflict by changing coarse. In reality He continued to work for the Standard Oil Folks.
I am not so sure you can take India's protestations of the US agenda seriously. Modi and the BJP definitely want to cozy up to the US and West. However their purposeful mismanagement of the economy and other domestic factors prevent outright support for the US and West ambitions. Nevermind India's international attempts to bolster their standings, but consistently failing to do so. Such as infrastructure projects they take on the international fronts. Or their self destructive efforts to bring foreign investments. Which often India's clear attempts to extort and grab from the foreign investments, to the advantage of the Oligarchy of India.
From the recent election results. Religion have play a huge part lose of majority. India have to input 120% effort to help solve their main religion disadvantage to the minority. The effort to play a global roll is only setback for India to progress to be the biggest economic or overtake China as the West keep promotioning.Good luck Modi and their foreign policy like the Quads. Even involving in South China Sea or Taiwan. Forget boarder issue work within the BRICS partners.
You obviously missed the fact that China and India have built a Joint Navy/Military Base in India, proving that India doesn't want a War against China!!!
We think that India's approach to relationships is often seen as a matter of partisan choice, but what we're seeing more and more is that India has always had a neutral stance. India is a key part of BRICS, but at the same time, it wants to do business with the West. There's nothing wrong with that; it's a mistake to think that in politics, especially at the international level, everything is either black or white.
Asia - Pacific and Indo - Pacific. The interesting part about both these terms is that they BOTH were coined by Japan . Contrary to popular perceptions , the political the grouping called the QUAD too was a Japanese initiative and not an American idea . During Shinzo Abe's term the Japanese , a very smart people, began to realise the conflicted geopolity of Asia and understood that a conflict with China was inevitable if China ever went for Taiwan. That understanding was the genesis of the changes one observes today kn the region .
bong bongs farther more powerful than him and less expose to the public about his wrong doing。Now nowhere to hide for him。He too slow to learn how and why his family to fight for his father to come home with out filin
There is chatter in German political circles that the July NATO summit will consider expanding NATO to include Asia Pacific region. Effectively a NATO without borders. Possibly new regional treaty that tightly integrates with NATO with common article 5 “Collective Defence” obligations or the international collective of warmongering bastards will be reformed under a new name. Given their objective of global domination perhaps KAOS would be a good name. I can just imagine France flying to the defense of Papua New Guinea….
How much Money and Manpower can NATO assemble? Their weapons appear to be kind of flawed? The weapons sales have been a considerable portion of the US Budget. As Janet Yellen wanders Wall Street selling Treasury Paper, Who is buying? Has the FED and Treasury run out of economic miracles to fund Victoria Nuland's War on Russia? France may not assign another Missile Crew to Eastern Ukraine? Elections do occasionally reflect Citizen Emotions. The loss of cheap Uranium, deposits French Heating and Cooling to develop a severe loss of profits? "Tough do Times Flush out the Chumps." ..................Ulises McGill.
NATO expansion into Indo Pacific will be the main topic in the upcoming summit in Washington This July 9-11, 2024. Washington. NATO Summit. EU countries will be pulled into East Asia conflicts.
they claim they meed to talk to china....at the same time...they continue their bS...it is the same play book..."do what i say n dont do what i do."...liars
All South China Seas have to do is agree to underwater defence agreement for China and ASEAN-1 you’ll see remote fishing nets search out enemy propellers. Drone sucker sharks attach itself to engine room bottoms. Really absolutely no USD involved😂😂😂
Shangri-La hotel is owned by an oligarch family in the Philippines that kneels down to the colonial master. This is churning in my stomach to watch. Mindanao really needs independence
Ppl of Asia Pacific region are pragmatists. It is never wise to antagonise your powerful near neighbours and largest trade partners to pls some war-mongers half a world away like Ukraine is doing. 😊
The Shangri La dialogue appears to be a ploy to humiliate China and Russia. Why was Zelensky invited to this event? It’s mystifying that the S’pore defense minister paid a special tribute to zelensky. Ilyod Austin was given a thunderous applaud by the pro western crowd when he put down a Chinese general’s question.

If the nato eastward view is to bully and force war from the opposing side like they did on Ukraine war by not recognising the Minsk agreement, belittling the spirit of the agreement. Then should they think Asean should follow? For the of Asean and Asian in general is there likely to be aggression from Asian power if not provoked. The answer is NO. Comment please.
For now it is impossible to make a asian nato but western nations are arming indo Pacific countries such as ( taiwan, india, Phillipines, Vietnam, indonesia, Australia, japan, korea) and in future this will help the west to move his agenda of an asian nato
There will never be an Asian NATO, because Asia is rising and surpassing the West, this is all thanks to China's rise, they all profit from this, all their economies are heavily tied to China. Would they destroy their prosperity, just to please the West? You are dreaming.. do you have an idea how much Asia has suffered under Western imperialism and invasions? The West has killed millions in Asia.. The West has kept Asia poor, China is making Asia rich... The only Asian nations who side with the West are Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Philippines.. they are all vassals of the West, they have no sovereignty. All the others either side with China or are neutral.. Even India is now turning away from the West.. The West has nothing to offer, only thing they offer is weapons and war... The West loves war, Asians do not, they love peace...
Each and every individual in all Nations should strive in their own ways to establish and seek peace in the midst of our day to day survival life! Foster in our thoughts in our hearts and actions Peace! For all of us. Let us give peace a chance! K
US-China relations remain quite stable. More emphases should be placed on the US military turning away when China conducts military drills near Taiwan, the US's desire to have military exchanges with China to avert accident, and continual asseverating of One-China policy. About China, the US is in a dilemma, not immured in unbridled fervor. The US working in concert with Iran to make sure that its attack on Israel was symbolic, averting escalation, is a broader indication of US cognizance of global danger and the myriad hostage situations, the latest involving its darling and boss Israel. Both the US and China are progressive, sane, and thoughtful enough to ensure stability in E. Asia. Cynicism is cultivated by augmenting situations of marginal significance, particularly with disregard to geography and economics--far more prominent in the case of China than elsewhere.
Could you give us a bit more insight into your thoughts on the matter? It's been a while since we've seen this classic comment, so we're really interested to know more about why you think so.
I respect NATO and the United States for protecting the weak and small countries from the expansionist ambitions of powerful nations that seek to absorb their neighboring states. Russia is indeed an aggressor, and China is poised to invade Taiwan and the Philippines. We will fight to defend our country and sovereignty. We are grateful to NATO for protecting us, and without their assistance, we would likely have become a province of China. GOD BLESS AND LONG LIVE THE PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 MY COUNTRY 💪
