Indonesian here, thanks for the video, but i want to add some information. Let's talk about the downside, while yes Indonesia had improved this couple of decade with its defense capability, but we still use old equipment. We still use 1960's tank such as AMX-13 and PT-76, though some had been upgraded. We also still use a lot of AA Artillery, and we had a shortage of medium to long range AA capabilities. But in recent years, the armed forces started to ramped up the modernization of such equipment, the purchase of Rafale, Arrowhead class, Scorpene class, and a lot more stuff that i can't mention one by one, is a proof of such maneuvers. And we also aimed to achieved independence in defense industry, and we achieved in some part of it. We no longer import a large number of guns from outside of the country, we can produce our own APC, we can even produce small-medium sized cargo airplane. We can just wait for the next breakthrough in our industry, so we can fulfill the MEF target, or even IF target.

Anything beyond that would require either some of those navies to have a major downsizing, or would require a massive jump on the Indonesian Navy's part that doesn't seem feasible. Interestingly, the Indonesian Navy probably ranks 7th or 8th in Asia today (with Singapore and possibly Pakistan taking the intermittent spots), so going up to #6 is most definitely feasible.

Video does not provide analysis of Indonesia's ability to project power. My impression/understanding is that while Indonesia has a lot of manpower, it is also a very large country and the manpower is required to "police" the huge landmass that is Indonesia. Or to defend their territory, .Thus while Indonesia's military is strong and ranked 13th in the world, it is mainly a defensive force and its capacity for "expeditionary operations" or force projection is very limited. Which may not be a bad thing - certainly that would be appreciated by her neighbours.

I think, right now is the perfect time for Indonesia to develop the domestic drone industry. In the future, drones will be vital in battles. If we can't yet produce drones like the Bayraktar now, at the very least, we should start with hobby drones. Don't forget to upgrade them to be advanced, hopefully even capable of maneuvering like UFOs and shooting laser.
