HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

@@darariprakasita111 hahaha bnr. asal jangan jual ginjal aja deh. kok bisa sampe semahal itu sih masakan padangnya? pdhl makannya ga diabisin semua lauknya 🤭 tp Indonesia emang negara yg kaya masakannya, tiap daerah pasti py menu khasnya. keren ya 👍👍👍
Audy W jeezz u, a bloody hell low level creature should not exist for much longer time. You must crawl back to your nasty cave called unknown species lab. There's no way ur brain could be fixed.
People said that when you come to a Nasi Padang restaurant, you should try the Beef Rendang first. If the Rendang is good, it assures that the rest of their curries are great as well ;)
I'm so sorry (and embarassed) that when I lived in Singapore, I didn't travel to Indonesia. All that food looks incredible. I've had most of it as individual offerings in S'Pore, but this vid in Jakarta makes me realize I made a big mistake by not going there. The Indonesian people seem lovely, but then again, everybody appears to love you and treat you nicely. Bring on the next vid. PS Beef Rendang is one of my favorite dishes of all time. Thanks.
"Life changing beef rendang" ... I like these words :) at last you have made your food trip to Indonesia, surely your life will be changing afterwards.. Two thumbs up
I regret watching this :'( it's in the middle of the night here in malaysia and it makes me craving for indonesian food now.. how I miss jakarta so much..
Btw it was not sweet manis sauce. Manis is Indonesian word for sweet. So it is the same. What you mean by sweet manis sauce is sweet soy sauce, or in Indonesia we call it Kecap Manis. Kecap = Soy sauce, and Manis = Sweet.
Food Ranger, I have watched your Indonesian Food Videos over and over and over and over again. Wowww makes my stomach growling. I'm Indonesian who lives in Canada. Your video makes me so proud of our Indonesian Food Varieties but also makes me missing my hometown so bad 😭😭😭😭😭 next time you come back, please try Batak Food it's a North Sumatran Cuisine. Sooooooooooo GOOD! God bless you 🙏
@@eksanarrasyid9593 saya rasa anda salah paham dah Yg di utamakan para penjual Yaitu ke higienisan, baru setelah ke higienisan yaitu cita rasa, itu menurut opini dia
I rarely commenton videos, but this one was awesome. I'd definitely eat that last meal. The prawns & fish looked amazing. & That giant pancake type thing would be the perfect dessert for a big family gathering as a little seems to go a long way. Awesome video 👍☺️
Indonesian foods seem heavenly and the people are hospitable too!!! Hope i could visit there one day. Take love my brothers and sisters from Bangladesh. 🇧🇩❤️🇲🇨
I am a Jordanian tour guide I don't speak Indonesian language but I used to be a tourist guide I had some Indonesian tourists great ppl and I picked some words from them specifically food related so kamping is goat and dumpa is lamb All the best
Indonesian people are so sweet and funny! They will stop and talk to you and help even when they can't speak english.. Haha i love that people! Same here in Bali! ♥
Trevor paid too much with $41 in the Padang restaurant. He could possibly pay only around $20-25. Why? In Padang restaurant principally you pay the number of pieces of food that you eat from the small plates. So if there are two pieces of rendang in the plate and you only take 1 piece they charge you only one, not two or not the whole plate. Therefore use spoon to take the rendang piece; not like Trevor, because he used his hand directly then the whole two pieces are "touched" and become unhygienic (and cannot be sold anymore) and Trevor had to pay both pieces. Had he used the spoon, he could have paid half price of the rendang plate portion. This is the same to other stuff like grilled fish, chicken gravy, cow brain in gravy, etc. as long as they are in big pieces (usually they give two pieces per small plate so that easy for the waiters/waitresses to count how many you have eaten). But different to other stuff in plates that you cannot count like chili prawns, chili chicken liver, soup, sate Padang; although you take a small part of it from the plate then you have to pay the whole plate. Indonesians are usually generous with the gravy, if you like more, just ask politely, they will add more gravy and they don't charge.
in my humble opinion, its not that expensive... the fish head price is 20000 a 100000 idr.. did you eat another than that? maybe next time you need to bring your indonesian friend so they will not charge you that much... 500.000 is way too expensive, it can misguide someone who want to eat it...
One of the ladie in the video asked her friend why you make weird sounds and you eat and why you repeat random phrases over and over again, she can be heard asking if you are retarded in indonesian. How do you not notice that part!? I would of edited that part out!!!
True, especially from house of padang restaurant he just want to eat big head fish with a curry sauce, it takes a lot of prices but he didn’t even touch other food that been given... guess there is something wrong with their honesty
My mouth is overflowing with saliva ATM,Seems like I can smell those dishes all the way here in PH. Feels like indonesian foods hits home in my tastebuds liking! Awesome dishes I wanna try it all!!!
Well usually you tell yourself you would only eat a couple food but then when you start eating you notice half of the food have been gone😆😆😆 and at that time it's already too late to stop😂😂
LoL you could try to go to San Francisco. The city has reputation with good Indonesian restaurants outside Indonesia. Well this is accordingly to the opinions of Indonesians who have went there, of course lol
I think he's one of the best vlogger at appreciate and describe new food and culture! I enjoy to watch how you look really passionate and don't hesitate to try new things
Indonesia is a paradise for delicious food, from Sabang to Merauke they have excellent food and drinks. From heavy food, rather heavy food, snacks, various types of drinks and also fruits 🇮🇩👍😍
Indonesia have a lot of cultures and soo many varieties of food! it's because Indonesia is an archipelago country. different island that means different food
Kalo lagi makan makanan dari luar negeri rasanya kurang pas di lidah, kirain karena udah kebiasaan makan makanan Indonesia, ternyata memang lebih enak.
90% Food in Indonesia is HALAL FOOD% so you guys can enjoy :). By the way, epic Video. Indonesian people are so Nice and friendly. absolutely friendly and lots of smile :))
All meats are halal in most cities in Indonesia, unless few cities that muslim are not the majority, but halal meats are also can easily found in such cities.
Wow... i would love to visit Indonesia and experience their food... some of their words are close to our Tagalog language... like sarap, kambing and so on... 👍👍👍
That skill though!!! They are able to mix the nasi goreng without anything falling is amazing!!! I'm amazed on how some of their words are similiar to TAGALOG, (Philippines language). I thought u were speaking tagalog lol! My ears are playing tricks on me :)
Yep, some words pronounced nearly the same, have a same meaning, but a bit different in writing (even some words have a same writing). Ex: Ako=Aku, salamat=selamat, mahal=mahal
