In Indonesia ,being a new comer to a neighbpurhood (or even another province/ ethnicity) ,as long as you introduce yourself to nearby neighbpurs ,you are already considered part of the community........they will surely help ,if you need it......they will even watch your house if it's empty ,so it's guaranteed save......

Indonesian people more easy going & warm I think and the food culture it's kinda help a lot, either food or coffee.
