Everybody loves Chris Stapleton. If I heard right, that is his wife. He was a writer with terrible stage fright, and she was the one who convinced him to stop turning other people into Stars, and be one himself. "Just pretend like you're singing to me", she told him. That's what I heard anyway.
Chris Stapleton is magical 🖤 His live stuff is always even better than the studio versions. I don’t consider him country, definitely more blues to me. You should see his EXTENSIVE song writing credits.
And now we’re here!!!! You have to do I was Wrong! And yes that’s his wife. He was an industry writer too until someone encouraged him to sing his own stuff. I believe this song was originally David Allen Coe
That “someone” was Morgane Stapleton, that woman on stage, his wife. David Allen Cole didn’t write this country song, but may have been the first to record it. The great George Jones also covered it, along with Chris Stapleton, who made it his song -- the version that we all think of when the title is mentioned.
@@FourtyOunce i actually just heard that for the first time like a month ago... And that shit ws good. I like sometimes I cry too. I havent heard alot of him and probably should get on that. Cause he really is amazing..
You should check out Sometimes I Cry and I Was Wrong by Chris next! Both are amazing songs. Tbh, I don't think he could make a bad song if he tried!! Much Love ❤
Appreciate you doing my request. Im actually a hip hop head and dont really listen to that much to jazz/blues exept angelina jordan but chris Stapleton just hits different... I just want to get a glass of wiskey and a cigar every time i listen to this... This is a song everybody should listen to in their lifetime.. Im glad you liked it.. (but i kinda knew you would... 😉)
Pretty much nail in the head! It just hits different. His voice however you describe it, crossied genres, draws you in and makes you feel the raw emotion if his music. The top tier artist performers do this, we all know their names. He is something else!
@@joesmith3098 Yea his lives are crazy. And i think his lives most of the time is better than his recordings. His voice and the way he uses it is just amazing. One of my top favorites lives. I just keep coming back to it... I havent heard all of his stuff yet but i heard some of his stuff. And the song sometimes i cry is so good too.. And i just heard death row not to long ago and thats amazing too. Those are probably my favorites so far...
Since you did Chris Stapleton check out his cover of Man's World...just the balls to try that song...and he kills it and check out back story .he wasn't supposed to be singing the house band talked him into it I believe
Chris Stapleton is a singer /songwriter, and his voice is crazy good. I know it's not your normal thing, but if you are interested in more, try I Was Wrong (Austin City Limits Performance), Death Row, Sometimes I Cry, It's a Man's World cover. There are more, just can't remember them all right now. He has a song with Justin Timberlake as well, and a great performance with him from 2015 CMA Awards.
Chris Stapleton surprises. I've seen so many people start their reaction saying that they don't really like country music, but their fans have been saying they should react to this one. And then we see the shock on their faces. It is glorious to see!
That's his wife on stage with him this song I think was wrote in the late 40s or early 50s he's doing a cover and Sometimes I cry, I was wrong, Fire Away Chris Stapleton
Wow Chris Stapleton did not write this song, he should have! Others have sang the song and it didn’t really go anywhere. He sings it and it is his as if he wrote it. In fact, he owns this song in my opinion! The man has been given a gift with his voice and his writing ability. You must check out his other songs! The man is amazing! Yes, the lady on stage with him is his wife. He has stage fright and she sings along, which helps him. I’ve loaded as much of his music on my playlist and listen to it all the time. It makes me want to just sit back and chill!
His concert is one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to!! He’s amazing 🔥🔥🔥 Check out Kevin Olusola -Down beatboxer/cellist / singer doing his solo gig, he sings with Pentatonix
More beards with amazing talent: Teddy Swims - I can't make you love me (cover) Allen Stone - Sex & Candy (cover) Marc Broussard - These Arms of Mine (cover) Teddy Swims & Allen Stone - Sara Smiles (cover)
Boy Im sleeping I thought you had already done this! i would have said something a ling time ago. Chris's voice is as smooth as butter. Love that man!!
Back in the 70's we had Southern Rock. Bluesy , Soulful ,Southern gospel influence. Greats like Marshall Tucker Band, The Allman Brothers,Leonard Skinner Band to name a few. Christ Stapleton is a true Southern Rock artist and he's bringing that glorious music back to a whole new generation. Beautiful !
As a former wake n bake/afternoon joint junkie/midnight maryjane/day/ afternoon/night drinker/smoker and now current dad/husband this song speaks to me in more ways than one. I’ve never been happier, and am so grateful to have found the one person that saw through all the bullshit and brought out the best in me.
Here is a request that’s a little different but in a great way. Bizzle is the artist and the song is devils work response to Joyner Lucas. This is, in my humble opinion, one of the best “put you in your place” responses I have ever heard. I don’t want to tell you anymore because I think going in blind is the best way to experience the song. If you haven’t heard Joyner Lucas Devils work then listen to that first or listen to it again to refresh before going into bizzle
He sounds on his video really no difference and there are tons of his music out there, he was also a writer for the industry check him out!! He also did a version of this with Justin Timberlake for some Live Awards on stage. #Creekdquad #HangOverGang
Hey Bro! Great reaction! Really enjoying all of these uploads, helping to get us through these tough times we're in at the moment. Much appreciated. Im surprised you haven't stumbled onto So Hyang, yet. She is a BEAST vocally. I'd recommend "Bridge Over Troubled Water" as the first listen. You'll be BLOWN AWAY. Thanks again for the reacts, man. Keep 'em coming! Peace.
Yes that is his wife. They met while both working as song writers. Do your ears a favor and react to Chris and his gorgeous wife Morgan singing "Amanda", and her singing a hauntingly beautiful version of "You are my sunshine". In reality though any song either performs is absolute gold.
@@randaletheredge4310 When Dean Dillon wrote this song in 1981 he offered it to George Straight who turned it down, that is how David Allen Coe recorded it in 1981 and George Jones in 1983.. Chris is the only one that brought it to a number one hit in 2015,...
Yes love sometimes i cry too.. I recommended this cause i thought this was the best one to introduce him too. Gotta slowly work him into it. This is not really his thing so we got to go slowly.. Lol.
Thanks for uploading! If you have a minute, I uploaded a cover of Jason Isbell. As a fellow music lover, I'd love if you'd check it out. It's on my page. Hope you like it!

David Allen Coe wrote the song and George Jones did a good version of it. Chris Stapleton put the blues part of it in the song to make it sound totally different. Also, his wife is on stage with him singing supporting vocals. He travels with his whole family with him so he can always see them.
Chris Stapleton...hair...beard.. Best looking man...no girl grooming time in the morning for him (a Real Man) Best Voice I've heard in years! No scheme....just Pure Damm Talent!

Hi from your new subscriber in Charlotte NC! Chris Stapleton has that bluesy, gritty, soulful vibe that reaches into our hearts & souls and GRABS them! Yes...he REALLY does it for me! Check out his "What Are You Listening To", "Fool Me Again", "i Was Wrong", "Sometimes I Cry" and his acoustic version of "Barely Alive"! After those, check out his covers of James Brown's "It's a Man's World" & the Allman Brothers "Whipping Post"! There's no such thing as a bad Chris Stapleton song! His latest album, Starting Over, is amazing dude...my favorite cut is "Cold"! It's such a different vibe & crazy good! I'm hoping to see him HERE in August! Enjoy your ride down this rabbit hole! Peace, love & stay safe!
Hey Cliff, always love your reactions and attitude. You have to check out Chris Stapleton "I was wrong" live at Austin City Limits. It's his best performance I've seen.
Best song to start with. You won't be disappointed with any CS song. He's the epitome of cool and humble. You made the "Stankface" by the way. Now do "I Was Wrong" for that guitboxer guitargasm.
Chris Stapleton is phenomenal!! His wife's voice is beautiful they compliant each other so well! Him & Justin Timberlake do a couple songs together. You should check out their CMA 2015 performance of Tennessee Whiskey & Drink you away its fantastic
