Chris was in the audience of a show and was recognized by the band and invited to sing with them on the spot. Chris got up, told them what song he wanted to sing (one he knew they’d know), borrowed a guitar and then proceeded to sing one of the best, if not the best rendition of “it’s a man’s world “ I’ve ever heard!

The woman singing with him is his wife. I love how they look at each other when singing. The connection is incredible. He is shy but she encouraged him to sing. He thought he wasn’t good enough.

Morgane Stapleton, his beautiful and crazy talented wife is singing backup here. They have 5 kids, so there's a good chance she's pregnant here. My, personal, favorite performance of his is his cover of The Allman Brothers Band's "Whipping Post". Ugh... so good. I also love his performance of "I Hope You Dance" acoustic with Morgane for the St. Jude Radiothon.

He was raised in Kentucky on Bluegrass music. Everybody loves some gospel though.

I was lucky and saw him in September and he was incredible! It’s a very ‘plain’ concert, him and his band on stage. For about half of it, they left the stage and it was Chris and his guitar. He’s amazing.

His wife on stage IS the reason he came out behind the scenes to front stage. They worked together for a label as song writers etc. She pushed him to sing his own songs.

I'd listen to him sing a dictionary. If a song could be sued for child support, this one would owe record amounts.
