It’s sad how Marshal is there for his fans. To help his fans through rough times with his music yet when he is telling his story to us about everything he’s been through and the rough times he’s been through a lot of the fans just shrug a shoulder and say this album is trash. It’s just sad. I’m a huge EM fan and this album is a complete masterpiece.

I cannot believe how hard this album is slept on it shows that the younger generations opinion is dominating. Because if you lost someone in your immediate family and or saw it yourself youd feel this song so hard 💯 wish I could rewind time like a tape

Just thinking about Em leaving us all is straight up depressing. I grew up with his music and it means a lot to me. I did cry a little hearing this track, not gonna lie. He was one of the main artists that pulled me outta 2020 when he dropped kamikaze...to think we almost lost him in 08'...that makes me really think of what the music industry/ artists/ fans would have had to do without him. Who wouldn't have become what they are? Who would try to fill his shoes? Cause even right now no one can. And a side note, you too have helped me manage some tough times in that last few months, so thank you, and stay safe.

How hes rapping on beat toward the EKG machine's beep sends str8 chills through me

I think around 12:09 he started using those "ee" rhymes to mimic the beep of heart monitors. But in the song em has already passed, and he uses actual beeps to signify his heart beat later on. So that leads me to think it's someone else's heart rate he's alluding to and when you take into account that the ee rhymes pick up in speed conveying an increase of emotion and heart rate, (which is what the audience feels) and on top of that he's no longer talking about himself, but he's actually talking about his daughters, ex wife, and anyone else who is suffering at his death, I think the pulse he's tracing and alluding to is our own. Whatever the case I believe Marshal is the greatest poet / artist of our age. Nothing comes close.

Just heard this for the first time with you. Really appreciate your bar breakdown. I'm 54 discovered Em last year thru Jelly n YelaWolf. This man Marshall Mathers is THE rap God, as well as so brutally, truthfully, take ur breath away soulbaring in the poetry disguised as lyrics. Any negativity towards this man is pure green monster.

I forgot about this song cause I listened to the album over a couple days in between 3 surgeries til this new year's sittin in the ICU listening to my father-in-laws ventilator and it came flooding back. He's the 7th of our close family members since March '19. All 7 dates fall between Dec-March. Don't wanna sound arrogant but we're f*ckin good people, the hell kinda luck is this? I loved the album, i always identified with Em, as mad as that sounds. Just some things, shit dad, daughter, adiiction, near death, recovery. I feel like he's been there through all of it. The GOAT by many many miles.

It wasn't drugs, but I lost my husband suddenly when I was 41. Our 4 boys were 6 to 23 yrs old and own only girl was 16, and daddy's girl. I woke and found he died while getting ready for work while we slept. This one hits so damn hard. I can't help but wonder if there is any consciousness after we go, if he was looking on us as our worlds shattered in horror that morning. OK, these tears never go away. I miss him and am angry he's gone every second.

I was a youngster in 2008 I lost my dad. If em had passed as well I'd been lost as Eminem I listen to his greatest hits album all the time his song lose yourself and you soldiers them songs I had them in repeat. Em helped me heal in some way.

Luckily for us the person feeling like that and going through all of that was the one person on the planet capable of telling his story in rap form. For the top selling and greatest rapper ever it's strange to say he is overlooked but that is the case. We know all about his insane word skills and flow and abilities that are second to none but not enough is mentioned about his story telling ability. I don't think a lot of people understand how hard that is to do well. You don't have the usual more wide array of topics and words to put together a great rap song. The options of what to say are very limited. So for him to be able to routinely put these stories into rhyme form is remarkable. There isn't nor has there ever been another rapper that can come close. Sadly rap is a very prejudiced genre and his career has been full of lose lose situations. He was expected to fail and everytime he succeeds (which he has done his whole career) It's never because of him and his skills, it's because he is white. A strange argument to be honest considering the overall mission of rap and the majority of it's listeners has always been skewed towards black people so how having the majority of the genres main fan base not really show him the love is somehow helped him sell more is beyond me. It is also mind boggling that were in 2024 and yet open racism is still openly acceptable. If anyone really thinks people saying he isn't the GOAT or even top 5 because he isn't black isn't racism they need to brush up on their word definitions. If anyone ever has any questions as to whether something like that is racist just swap the subjects around and see if you think people would call it racism. For instance their are plenty of topics that clearly show the double standard. People seem to not have a problem with someone saying he will never be one of the greats because he isn't black and black people started hip hop yet do you think it would go down so smoothly if white people said LeBron James can never be an all time great because he isn't white? I have a sneaking suspicion that wouldn't go over as well. Despite being the exact same scenario as basketball was invented and started by white people. Basketball is not the only example either.

What I hate about this is how people always tear into Eminem. Yes, music is a subjective matter and the album was considered to be bad, really bad. With a lot of bad productions on it. Fair enough. But Castle, Arose, Walk on Water, In my Head, Framed, Believe, they were great in my book. It's "only" sic songs, that may be half the album only. The problem I see is that most rap nowadays, even back in the day to be honest, consisted of the same party, drugs, bitches type of bullshit. They may be good to vibe to, but Eminem doing songs to vibe to is bad. When another rapper has an album with one good and 15 mid songs on it, he's still doing great. But Eminem? 6 songs out of the ordinary when compared to other rapper's "good", for him it just means his album is shit and he should just "put down the pen". I can't believe how many people have taken a shit on Those kinda Nights, for example. I really like that song, it's good, it's with Ed Sheeran so of course it has a bit of his vibe, that's the nice thing about features. Just to stand on the same level as others, he has to put in so much more work. He's shitted on when he's not being exceptional, but when he's being exceptional, it's not being acknowledged.

Revival overall was far from some of his best work and I do see myself as a Stan but just because I think it's far from his best does mean I dislike it or am trying to dis it I think it was just so different to what we were all prepared for all. Name like revival most us thought then he'd go back to his roots and immediately go like he did on Kamikaze straight at those amigo mumble trashers but we didn't get that response then cause they weren't on his rader when they should of been and then had people talking shit about the album before it was released didn't help. None the less it's still very much underrated and it would not be the first time he released something that was just ahead of it's time like Relapse took ages for it to go platinum global and even now there be people still talking down on it because it has some of most violent lyrics one could write but not one word of those would be true and what came of it was a new genre of rap now refered to as horror rap.
