i was at barber motorsports park all weekend...izod indycar drivers were all very friendly...had a great time...thanks to all the drivers, teams, and barber workers.
Spectacular race... and what a beautiful course! IMO, this is right up there with some of the top F1 cicuits. Simply stunning!!! Way-to-go INDYCAR and Barber!!!
@BoilerByBlood Absolutely, it is a great track, and the crew at the place did a FANTASTIC job moving us all about! I was there back in the day at the inagural spectator event years ago, and it was like a club event, a few of us scattered out on hills. It is now one of THE road courses to see in the U.S. if not the world, a fantastic place! Thank you to all the vounteers and track workers for making it a special event, and holding together the chaos that could have been! :-)
Great Highlights! I look forward to the day when you can post the entire race online, so the greatly dedicated fans can always go back and watch the races they love.
In response to the formula one "racing" fan who criticised the "front right" pit crewman, for the error of letting a car leave the pits with a fuel line still in, it was the front RIGHT crewman who got it wrong. Quite a basic mistake--like getting left and right the wrong way round.
So this is a great "road" circuit" is it? Up with the best formula one tracks, is it? Well, the the same driver led from start to finish so it was a formula one "race" in that regard!
Agreed. Die hard Formula 1 fan from NJ here and these drivers seem pretty bad. At least it means theres a better chance I can drive in IndyCar and destroy. Becausr Formula 1 is impossible unless you were a beast since child hood.
The mind boggles at indycar's insistance of full course yellows. Just make a sector yellow andthats all. How manny times can power build a lead only to see the entire pack get gifted back to him?
Every driver in this race had aspirations to be an F1 driver at some point but they didn't have what it takes. I'm not saying they are bad, but they certainly are not better than an F1 driver.
I think all open wheel racing is great. But Indycar isn't anywhere near as interesting, its too standardised, theres no freedom for the teams to make their cars and improve them during the season
