My go-to is Incredible Hulk annual #11. Awesome story, awesome art, tons of characters, the leader is seriously twisted! Love it. Great cover too! Nice video Sam from Canada 🇨🇦
Hulk #265 seems like a very undervalued under the radar comic imo. Triple key with 1st appearance of Firebird, 1st appearance of Shooting Star, and 1st team appearance of The Rangers. I picked up a high grade copy off my favorite comic shops website for $5.00 CAD. I think it's only a matter of time before Firebird makes her way into a movie in the MCU.
Some low price keys I like to slab are: hulk 377 (1st and 2nd print), Spider-Man 1 (torment), ASM 306, 344, 363 and other minor ASM keys, x-men 282, x-force 1-5, etc.
thank you for showing your new slabs. the hobby is definitely a new beginning for us. the community is still small but i hope it picks up in the future. i hope your channel grows as well.
Thanks! And I love that it is small, makes it feel like we are all working together toward a common goal (the love of these books and pop culture/nostalgia)
Love watching your videos and I’d be dying for you to go over like 5 of my books and have them go out for grading. Maybe I can bribe your with a killer virgin variation Spider-Man book on top of your time to work on them.
I really do wish I had the time (and energy?) to work on everyone's books. Unfortunately, I have online businesses that keep me busy and I seem to hardly find the time for my own comics lately. But I really do appreciate the offer!
Love this video. I love a lot of different comics that are not worth much but then again I love art work.Warlock and the Infinity watch #9 is nice. Infinity war 1 and 2. Infinity Gauntlet 5 all great covers/books
In the graded trading card world, when you submit a card that you know for certain is a 10, but it comes back a 9, collectors call that "pop control". Essentially, it is the grading company controlling the numbers in their census. That's the way I perceive 9.6s vs 9.8s -- pop control.
Happy New Year! I enjoyed this submission as always. I do check out your shortboxed page from time to time. Improved-Collecting Comics sometimes sells the books featured on this channel, but when he doesn't, he drinks a Dos Equis. LOL
Love your videos and I've felt your pain with these graders. The series I recommend is Marvel Comics Presents 72-84, the Weapon X storyline. The only pricey issue is the first part which raw is about 20 but the rest is 4-10. I love the Wolverine history but really those Barry Windsor Smith covers look great on the wall.
Law of averages might be catching up to you. Everything was coming up 9.8 for you. Can't tell how many times I thought 9.8 and came back 9.6. I recommend you try a 25 book - 9.8 Prescreen some day. I have submitted many that got rejected and then resubmit and get 9.8 on the 2nd try. $8 per reject is better than slabbing a 9.6 with little value.
You might be right. I actually almost did a 25 book submission, but decided against it due to the risks involved (getting a harsh grader/losing 25 books in the mail). I do plan to do a pre-screen at some point, maybe on a bunch of newer moderns I picked up over the past few months?
Happy New Year! Great job as always. I just purchased a 12 comic X-men lot that included #207 because I want one like your yours hanging on my wall. I got 207-219 (-213) for about $5.50 per book (and it includes 3 Wolverine covers). They aren't all in mint shape, but we'll see what a clean and press can do for them. I'm looking forward to what you give us for the New Year!

Kind of off topic but I was trying to find the model of the heatpress you use since you have such great results. Can't find "heat press machine" anywhere. Was going by the label on your machine. Can you recommend a heat press that is available? Thanks.
