Hey hardcore IM fan here. Just so happy to see someone get hooked into their music. If you're really going for a marathon I would recommend B.P.Empire and Dancing With Kadafi, both from my favorite IM album.
Originally came for your Tool reactions, but Infected Mushroom? I've been a fan of those guys for a few years now (since my retail days). Them and Shpongle create some wild soundscapes.
The solo "guitar" on heavyweight is actually played on the keyboards, it is not a recorded guitar track that is manipulated, but some kind of synth that produces guitar like sounds, and Erez Eisen plays the solos natively on the keyboards. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N0Df1WX6nC0.html go to around 3:41 Erez plays some live solo
@@jamesoliver9278 :) sorry.. but I have seen many live performances of heavyweight and the guitar is played on the keyboards.. now that you know it, try listening again to the solos, I think you would be able to notice the little bits that are characteristic to keyboard play :)
I'll never understand what's the point of arguing whether it's a real guitar or not, if the sound fits well into the track good enough. Could even be a fart, doesn't change the fact you do or don't like it
Wow, I had kept this song in the mental vault for 10+ years. I have a very vivid memory from the first time I tried LSD- I was a sophomore in college at the time. 4 other buddies and myself took a tab before seeing Easy Star Allstars play their "Dub Side of the Moon" album at a venue in Ybor City (Tampa's historic Cuban district). Turns out the trip was only getting started by the time the show ended... lol. After getting back to a friend's dorm, the rest of the night/into the morning was spent listening to hours worth of interesting songs. "Heavyweight" in particular took me somewhere else. I'll never forget how those strange echoed voices at the very end haunted me for days after. After the music session, we all walked around the campus as the sun came up. Ahhh beautiful times.
Milosh would be an insane song from Infected Mushroom to react to. It has some of the most experimental and ambitious sounds ive ever heard in an electronic song.
Hey! Love this video, I’m a massive fan of Infected Mushroom. Just to answer questions here, Infected Mushroom is a duo, and they have live band that performs with them for tours and stuff, which is where most of the guitars n stuff come from. If you’re doing a marathon, I highly recommend tracks like Bust A Move, Dancing With Kadafi, Project 100, Milosh, Converting Vegetarians, Ani Mevushal, the Symphonatic remix, Muse Breaks etc., these are a lot of the more popular tracks but basically all of there stuff is really good
Where the fuck is No Line in MIDI at- I'm the opposition, the mainstream IM side, who will recommend you more easier to swallow tracks such as No Line in MIDI, Never Mind, Nothing To Say, Drum & Bassa, Now Is Gold, Kazabubu, literally everything from Army of Mushrooms & Friends on Mushrooms. I think those two albums deserve some love as well. Anyhow, have a good day, you all.
@@EscheroOfficial they have a couple, but I know Duvdev specifically can’t play guitar, not sure about Erez but most likely someone does considering they have so many
Just so you know, Infected usually play this track at the end of most of their shows (even though it's kinda 'old' track). At least in Israel (their homeland). And I guess you felt why. Usually on live show, the crowd is shouting the whole ending (even there are no words there), making it even more intense.
"Stretched" & "Muse Breaks" are also tracks I try to get people new to Infected Mushroom to listen to. They have an absolutely huge variety of music, so a newer track of theirs that is really good is "Lost In Space" that has lyrics in Hebrew & Arabic. Both the main band members are originally from Israel. What's crazy is they've been making music like this since the late '90s and are still touring and making new stuff now. I got to meet them in 2004, they are so cool, chill & funny. Their live shows are absolutely the best thing ever, please see them live if you get a chance. They usually have an extra drummer & guitarist for the live shows on top of keyboards & vocals from the main 2 guys.
He plays all of the guitar work on his keyboard. One of the most powerful, best damned tunes IM has made! And they’ve made A LOT! And I always envision huge stadium rock feelings when I hear this tune! It makes me quite emotional as well!
@@kevinhurd6756 Yeah I listened to it again the other day, realized the rock guitars are only at the beginning but man does that song build to some awesome sequences!
Techo? ...*face palm*... , Techno is a word people who know nothing about Electronic music use to describe Electronic Music. Techno is a style all it's own.
You look like when I discovered IM first time.. been my favorites ever since ... the soundscape is like an onion, with each layer you peel away, you uncover new discoveries... masters of creation.
As an extremely empathetic psytrance listener that doesn't know anyone that actually likes psytrance this is literally medicine for me. I absolutely love watching your reactions. I've listened to the song probably 100 times and knowing what's coming up and being excited for you to hear it is so fun. Excited to dive into the marathon.
This is very cool to see you react to, I've loved the Radiohead an Tool reactions. IM songs are ALL crazy complicated and intricate. In addition to their creativity, nobody transitions better or has cleaner production with such unique sounds. My favorite track of theirs is "Never Mind" but would very much recommend "The Surgeon" (this one would be a wonderful change in tone for you to check out). Other recommendations: "Vicious Delicious", "Yamakas in Space", "Sa'eed", "Bust a Move" or "Return to the Sauce"
First time I heard this was during hell week in my fraternity. Was a couple days without sleep, spent all day doing absurd PT and manual labor to break us down for the psychological torture finale lol. I was blindfolded and bagged in the back of a car, utterly exhausted. The song was great even then, and I love the memories it brings back now.
Im a huge IM fan so Im glad you want to discover more of them. I would recommand Bust a Move from Classical Mushroom, Dancing with Kadafi, Frog Machine, Vicious Delicious, Project 100 + Franks + Slowly that are following each other in the same album, Serve my Thirst, The Messenger (2012 version), Animatronica and Flamingo to have a taste of all different things they made between 2000 and 2017... Suscribed of course, keep it up :)
I love Infected mushroom, and I'm really excited to see new reactions to it! Since you'll be able reacting to more, I recommend: Shakawkaw, Saeed, Spitfire, The legend of the black shawarma, Ani mevushal and cookie from space.
Any of you Infected Mushroom fans... Check out Opiuo's Red Rocks concert with the Syzygy Orchestra. Or any of CloZee's mixes. Fairly unknown artists, but so good and unique. Don't miss out.
this dj group was my intro to the psychedelic world 15 years ago , i wanna say its very spiritual and was made by music geniouses on another God level. i get emotinonal to this shit
Love the bewildered faces lol that's how you should react to first hearing a classic like heavyweight from IM 😆 this song hits se deep feels for sure. Weird, almost sad and definitely epic vibes wrapped up in a wild package. If you're sober, you definitely look like you're tripping hearing this lmao Btw it's generally two people, sometimes on stage they have a drummer and guitarist...but most the guitar sounds are actually keyboard.. You have a good friend for introducing you to this haha they are the true masters of psytrance
The Infected Mushroom wiki, basically explains everything you are hearing. "Amit Duvdevani was born on 7 November 1974 in Israel and has a similar musical background as Eisen. He started to play classical piano at age seven and continued to do so for nine years. He then progressed to heavy metal music and punk rock."
You have a good feel for music. Thanks for the reaction to IM. I think Milosh is their craziest track. I hope you record your reaction to it sometime. Peace.
Love the Reaction: Way to little IF Reactions on RU-vid. IF tracks to listen at: Ani Mevushal, Stretched, Riders on the Storm ( IF Remix ), Changing the Formality, Forgive me, Vicius Delicius, Altillery, Send me an Angel, Shakawaka, Elevation Station. In fact u can search up any Infected Mushroom song and it's good.
I could tell you were both flying and in a state of disbelief ( mind blown! ) /edit ( addition ) I wouldn't say "when you make music do whatever the f*** you want..." , they started out as Goa Trance artists and it morphed into PsyTrance the more they experimented. So in a way they are sort of like Kraftwerk, they are constantly experimenting with the sound, I would say they still do follow the Goa Trance bass line? However, with their break-beat and tempo changes along with all the sinthisized "voices" they use, they really come into their own style, even within the Goa & Psy Trance artistry.
Erez playing the distorted solo and piano parts with his keyboard Duvdev does the crazy vocals They are both producing in the studio but Erez is the main wizard
Headphones do not do this band justice. When I listen to I M, so do my neighbors whether they like it, or not! Try Sa’eed, Herbert the Pervert, Overload, Vicious Delicious. I’m 58 yrs. old and this band is in my top 10
If you into electronic music, definitely should check out Aphex Twin (AFX, Polygon Window, The Tuss), Venetian Snares, IGORRR, Luke Vibert (Wagon Christ, Plug), Squarepusher (Shobaleader one), Richard Devine . . . among others
there is a guitarist drummer and a electronic keyboardist. its recorded and then electronic samples added to it. so its just distorted actual guitars playing
Hey man, huge fan here. Love these styles your branching off into. There is another small band you might like called HRVRD. What We Had would be a good one to start. Keep up the good work!
Infected Mushroom is absolutely amazing one of my favorite videos showing how they perform without sounding washed out/poor quality is the KRCW Interview/Mini-Concert: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JTFzX8c6ng0.html It might be worth reacting to, though it's like 40 min long. however it plays 4 songs that you haven't reacted to yet.
