Here's my submission for the SoME3 competition. This is really my first time making an "educational" math video and using Manim, so this video is certainly rough around the edges, but it did make for a fun and worthwhile project over the summer. If I did get anything wrong, then please say so in the comments. After this video, I do want to try making more videos focused on the probability and stats of dice in D&D and maybe other TTRPGs, but probably not as math heavy as this one and with much less Manim animation. I've actually wanted to make a video series discussing dice rules in D&D for a while and SoME3 gave me a great excuse to start one.
Also, I'd like to note that after I wrote the script for this video, I realized that WOTC had actually implemented Exploding Dice into a spell in a recent Unearthed Arcana called Sorcerous Burst (although, the spell does have a cap to how many times it can explode). So Exploding Dice may actually become an official part in D&D and not just neat homebrew.
Thanks to my friends who helped make this video possible!
