Quick tip on essentially doubling the size of the grid, save the png as 100 instead of 70, import to VTT and make sure to change the import grid size to 100. THEN after the scene is made go back into the scene grid size and change it to 50. Now all those single grid hallways are double sized so players can stand shoulder to shoulder instead of single file.

Might wanna check out Dungeon Draw module in Foundry if you want to draw a map on the fly. Works pretty well and it auto installs walls too. Great video, thnx!

I actually discovered this one... I don't even know how long ago. lol I'm sure it was around the beginning of its development cause I noticed there's a lot more to it now. I'm glad it's found its way to your channel! :D

This is so awesome! Question, are you able to edit the files, say fix the irrational staircases or rooms that seem to be floating in space?

This is so cool. Thanks for sharing. Honestly. Terrain drawing/improvising is the main flaw for foundry. I really wish they had better tools for it. I miss that feature in tabletop simulator, id literally draw the map as I go. I hope they eventually add such a feature

I like detailed maps too, but when I want something quick and convenient, this works a treat!

The import is not working for me i guess is due to old version of the mod :( but didn't know about the site, great tip anyway, ty!!!

I love the idea as walls are an imme se pain but I just can't get this to work

it imports the walls smaller then the scene and like not at all aligned. Not sure what Im doing wrong.

Doesn't simple fog allow you to draw with fog of war?

I *think* it's simple fog that I've tried, but I got really strange syncing issues with it where it wasn't consistent about what the players were seeing and they'd end up seeing parts of the map they shouldn't. I can check it out again though!

the walls in Foundry have to bee the one thing that really slows you down.

Sadly every time I try to get this to work the png exports at a different size to the walls, & trying to figure out a way for them to meet is DEEPLY frustrating. Solvable, but still a few extra steps I'd like to avoid.

When you are exporting from watabou, choose the export at PNG option (in the same menu as the JSON option) which will allow you to specify grid size, then when you import it into foundry you can tell foundry the grid size in pixels and it will match perfectly.
