very nice video and summary of the data recovery server! i'm on the first data recovery server and we're currently on day 42. so allow me to add some additional information that might be helpful to you: 1. jet zone (the red one, ray of doom) over time they will grow in frequency and number. it will start with 2 jets, on my server right now there are 5 simultaneous jets. but tbh they are not that scary: yes, they deal a huge amount of damage and erase everything. but you're warned 24h in advance and have enough time to react. also when you're in the scattered asteroid belt you're not affected at all. neither from jet zone nor radiation belt. also when your ships are at warp they are not harmed by radiation. so if you have an outpost or a recon at the other side you can move your fleet through a jet zone without any issues. 2. data: 1 data consumes 5000 storage of your fleet when collected (and 200 when transported to the data receiving station). so it makes sense to add additional ships to your data collection fleets. keep an eye on the storage/cp ratio. this way you will get a fleet with maximum cargo and can collect data the most efficient way. the larger the ship the better the storage/cp ratio. means: carriers and bc. best are 1. st59, 2. indefatigable, 3. eternal storm/cv3k. 3. mining ships: when collecting ressources from ruins your ships will work with 3x speed. means: one x20 large miner with upgraded 128k/h mining speed will collect 384k/h metal at a ruin. a d20 research ship with 100k/h will collect 300k/h. BUT: mining ship will collect data with 4 x speed! and the d20 research ship will collect data even faster with 8x speed! so when you're collecting data from ruins you should definitively use the d20. well, i think that's it. i probably forgot many other information worth to share. but if you want to know more, just ask.

Another very informative video my friend! My union did not choose the data recovery node for this phase but I am hoping we do next phase because I am really looking forward to it. The visuals are very stunning and seeing the radiation waves just sail through the star system was one heck of a sight. I also love the design of the Data miner, which brings me to my question. Does it not take damage from the radiation? It seems built for the purpose of mining for long periods of time through the radiation but the info from the Jet zones did say it affects all ships, so I'm curious about that. And when you say structural damage, do ships in the radiation zones just crumble and blow up or do they just slowly lose hp and die? Other than that, another great video as always mate! It's interesting how they describe the cities as it reduces max HP. That might be why it still showed as 100%. 500000/500000 HP and 500/500 HP are both still 100%.

It's going to get boring as soon as all the other unions start taking mining seriously. No one will want to continue the war. Pro tip: LV7 data research ruins are the easiest to mine data from. You just need to monitor your fleet because of the blockades that reset every hour.

So the lvl 5 ruin cities in asteroid belts, can u use large miners? Or will this require hella amounts of small miners
