“You shouldn’t rate it on its weak healing”, exactly. It’s healing was the only thing buffed, it’s otherwise not a great carrier. The only reason to run it is if you have no other option (like me).

I'm of the same mind. I personally don't view the 30% reduction so much as a damage nerf, but as a tank buff especially since all ships also get a 5% HP enhancement and usually another 12% enhancement for weapon tech. I say this mostly because armor is so much better the lower the damage per hit is. Anything that buffs tank, buffs healing. I'm surprised he didn't bring Eris A up higher myself. It's damage is firmly usable after the last change, and basically all the Eris B's damage was shunted into the 40 seconds of 81% evasion tank you get in the prop mod.

you mean in terms of how many blueprints you have and when to maybe start using research agreement? Or early to- late game on a server? The latter I have in a playlist called 101 tutorial series.

Yeah has 25% evasion. It loses the extra 16% and damage output though of the HC variant and that 16% extra evasion I feel really matters. 46 armour feels negligible when you've got things like HC eris about hitting for 300 damage still per hit after removing 46 damage from it for armour.

@@Damphyre Well, to be fair, I won't argue that point with you. I'd always take the Heavy Cannon Eris over the Armored as well. The problem with comparing them, though, I think, is that the HC Eris is an EXCEPTIONAL destroyer, and maybe even a little broken. The fact that it can out-damage most cruisers is a little bit frightening. So comparing a good destroyer to a broken one might be a little unfair. Add to that, you only get 10 HC Eris, and you can also have 10 of the Armored. The Armored is basically a bigger, tougher, more powerful version of the FG300. It may be pricier, but you probably won't have to replace all of them after every major engagement. The fact that they have Air Support for both front and mid rows and a highly accurate anti-projectile strategy means that they can keep your battle cruisers and other mid-fleet elements alive for a lot longer too. Just my .02₵.

@Lndmk227 in my opinion i think destroyers should out damage carriers since carriers damage should typically come from fighters and bombers if im not mistaken destroyers should imo be glass cannons high damage but kinda squishy rear line snipers basically and carriers should be supports frigates should be the damage sponges light damage but alot of armor cruisers should be the jack of all not perfect at anything but decent at all and dreads should be tanky DPS

Why are you mining far away? You get outposts quick enough to basically move on top of resources and the missions to supplement the resources until that point no issue.

Well you need the base variant to use any of the variants. But yeah the defensive isn't as competitive as the other 2

Yeah it's a little over the top. 😅

Base has the same amount of evasion but loses almost all the damage output of the HC so its still better to run HC.

It's basically almost identical to the eris heavy cannon and the torp variant really can't compare to that left to its own devices. The main and most important differences between the railgun and torps though is the torps are anti cruiser with a hit rate mod for cruisers only. The railgun on the other hand has 2 mods for anti frig and destroyer which is quite a standard ship in most meta fleets more so than cruisers.

its mixed up a little bit recently. Lots of ships providing decent AA so swarm is less viable so top players are running a hybrid fleet of swarm and high damage ships.

Yes but may as well sue the HC variant slightly less tank waay more damage output.

Been running the strix in my fleet and I'm not sure about it anymore. Seems its damage has dropped off.

I thought this too. But doesn't the same apply to Ceres? All these spotter type set ups generally don't work. Or at least they didn't. Has that changed?

​​@@kennyutoobSpotters always worked. Predator tactical buffs the hit rate of aircraft it carries, and only them. Ceres will buff other ships in your formation

@@limori2 Pred tac gets a strategy that forces the UAV's to target cruisers, with the same 10% buff in the enhancement as the Ceres

What Eric mentioned above. The pred tact can be forced to buff cruisers with its strategy.

BTW, ST59 also has a spotter uav mod, 'Area Fire Control System' on B3
