I love my FX35, I am planning on getting one of these eventually! It is genuinely the perfect vehicle, practical and very fun. I genuinely didn't expect them to drive the way they do, very close to sports sedan territory! Plus, they are fantastic in the snow. 🙏
For people that are content having fun on paved roads, these are as utilitarian as I want my SUVs to be. But the thing that surprises people the most is how well behaved they are. Handling on point, luxury on point!
Right on! I had driven a few FXs over the years, but couldn't quite find the right one. I am glad you mentioned fuel economy. I'm working on a video for that
@@EdBwoy Fx50S long distance driving on a highway isn’t bad, full tank gets me about four hundred and thirty miles highway. but local around town not so good but what do you expect from a v8 engine. Lol. Comes with the territory
430 miles, that's dead relatable. At some point, the car had estinated that I would get as much as 480 to the tank ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GOh8Qd95mYE.html
@@EdBwoy yea if you on the hwy cruising its great on a tank. Punching it around town is when i would go through a tank fast. Its the most fun on twisty roads, and short get there asap trips. Enjoy the new ride. I always wanted to upgrade to a fx50 but kids change everything.
@@EdBwoy It may be possible to get 480 miles per tank. I have to be honest the only way I see my car getting that is me slowing down to 60,65 mph and on my long road trips I averaged 80 to 90 mph. Which isn't the optimal speed for gas conservation. Lol.
Yoooo Ed. Umm hmmm. I knew you'd come over sooner or later lol. How you liking it?!? Welcome to the FM platform!!! Wanting on a 12 or 13 to show up myself
So far, so good. I wanted a 2009 for various reasons, but always keep my head on a swivel. If I like it enough during the year, I might explore newer models. It's parked for now, but I can't wait to sort it out and take it on the road again
I have a 2010 fx50s and it will get up to 150+ before it hits the limiter. I wonder why yours seemed to hit a wall at 125? Have you gone through your settings to make sure there are no parental/valet limiters set?
I did run out of road before I decided to let off. Still, I think it would have taken quite a while to move the needle. With time, and after I do some engine maintenance, I'll get back and see what it can do.
I would say they are the same in a straight line because they have the same engine and transmission. The FX50S will handle better though when you take them to autocross.
