Infiniti G20 | Things I hate about my Infiniti G20 

For everybody tryna find parts for the g20 just look for sentra parts (1991-1994 SER)(1995-1997 200sx SER)for engine mods,exterior parts are the hard parts to find

I have a 2000 g20t and man do I feel your pain. Hard to find after market mods, body kits, or just parts that I need.

I've not driven an automatic. Mine is a manual. I just got into this car coming from a 2ZZ Toyota MRS (I blew the motor and didn't have time to fix it due to school). This motor actually has some torque. What you have to learn (and what I learned from owning a light car) is, play to the car's strength. 3000 lbs actually isn't high for how many features this car has. Actually the weight is just below 3,000. I did a proper spark plug change to copper ngk plugs. I also purchased some OZ edition lancer wheels. The wheel/tire combo now is 4 lbs lighter per axle than stock. And this is all unsprung weight so the car gets out of its own way a bit better and handles and brakes even better. Part of the problem is that you have those 16 inch wheels with god knows how large of tires. The farther away you push weight away from the center hub, the harder it is for your car to accelerate. Try getting some lighter wheels. Reduce the tire diameter. Trust me, this car is no MR2. However, it does have some strong points. If you play to its strengths, its a really fun car. I'm on track to get into software development. I will keep this car as my daily, but will be swapping another MR2 with a 2GRFE V6. But I'll still enjoy this car, even if it is for a short while.

I love my car I just shift it at red line and it runs amazing always reliable and sounds good

ive got a manual g20. its nice . but i wish it had more power.. you are right about trying to find mods for this car... its not that common

I love my 99 Infiniti g20 but hate the cup holder, then power steering and the noise it’s making that I can’t figure out.

Great video bro. Definitely feel u regarding the cup holder but I’ve seen u can get the Indash din with the cup holder which is what I was gonna do. Mine is also automatic but I was gonna swap it to manual then do a ve swap for more power. I also wanted to go tein coilovers and oem front suspension with energy bushings. Also found front/rear strut tower bars and gonna do a maxima se rear sway bar. Car has real potential as a nice daily. Happy with mine besides the annoyances lol

I just got this car after failing to get a 2000 Lexus es300 and even though this car is rare and the Facebook group is still kinda the same with only just part outs I really want this car to shine and yea that 4 speed automatic is so ass I swear I thought I was the only one thinking like "this car feels like its missing a gear like it wants to shift to that missing gear but it doesn't" LMFAOOO

nissan b13 , b15 suspension parts fit.. I have the jdm version primera... manual transmission.... for a little more top end I suggest setting ignition timing to about 15 -17 degrees

Hey so I’m really thinking about picking one of these as my first car, wanted to know any tips or advice like is it a good daily driver? What year is best? Is it reliable? I would mainly use it to just like drive to school/work not planning on making any performance mods.

I had the same axle issue on mine.....went through thousands so frustrating! Finally I traded it in for my Hyundai Equus....but I really miss it. Still liked my G20....had the light green with gold kit on it....

First car i bought for $400 at 17 i loved this car. I would have kept it but it came with state fees....

A few things.. This car was based on the European Nissan Primera (not sentra).. one of the best handling cars in Europe in the time. next, this car should only be considered in the 5 speed sport trim.. its fun, and much better driving experience. The lack of IRS was a an issue... it would get unsettled in bumps while turning. I had a 2002 Sport and I sold it many years ago.. wish I still had it. Not all the CVT/turbo crap out today.

bro I have a 2001, I have headers and a full custom exhaust, hot shot cai (true cai), pulley kit, wires, bunch of poly bushings and crewmember mounts. Also rims and jdm dual headlights. next is coilovers. Don't give up on this car as it verry rewarding driving car. car handles amazingly well. and this car pulls up top, try advancing base timing to 19(not if you running iridium) sorry for bad grammar it's 2 am and I'm drunk lol

There is a cupholder in the armrest (maybe yours is missing, it's removable). There used to be a direct fit Remus exhaust, but axleback. Oh, and for shifting, you can remove the comfort transistor and it will get close to redline, but you'll get a CEL.

car looks really good... Old lexus are good choice super comfy ride qulity , easy to fix , super nice interior , quite cabin

isnt it 143 hp? here in europe we have the nissan primera,same car just different easthetics. SR20DE roller rocker,i have the primera gt, it has originaly 150 hp but you can get it easily to about 160 without a sweat, any more than that and u have to realy invest

Yeah, the transmission sucks for gas mileage. According to the Torque Pro app, @55MPH I get ~40MPG, @60MPH I get ~36MPG, and @70MPH I get ~30MPG.

Stillen made a front spoiler for this car once. You might have some luck finding one as I see NOS Stillen stuff online from time to time. Greddy made a SP catback for this car, but good luck finding one now. GSpec I believe still custom makes them and they sell a lot of performance parts for SR20 powered cars. You have a great little engine in that car, but you have the wrong transmission.

Mandrel bend exhaust systems makes a kit for the g20. And u can turbo it, even automatic. Will make it quick and fun.
