Part 3 in the series: Comparing some entertainment packages offered in the M This video is focused on the 08, because it covers whatever the 06 had...and then some.
Yo Ed.... Hope all is well sir?!? Question??? Does the +06 lower oil pan work on 03-05 vk45. My pan is stripped. Got a bit of a leak. Don't wanna re thread it
In order for the screen to come down did you have the e brake on? When I bought my car in September I didn’t have a remote so I’m lost at this point. I would love for my daughter to watch movies in the back seat.
I am looking for the dashboard instrument led bulbs including the watch bulbs but can't seem to find the right ones anywhere. I need help. For a 2003 Infiniti M45.
Just got a 2006 Premium M45 and was wondering about the size of the hard drive? I wish I could play through Bluetooth but like the system I don’t want to do anything aftermarket with it.
Approximately 10GB, or 500 albums as the manual says. Rip is done 112 kb/s approximate. It takes about 5 min per disc (and you can set it up to rip everything you put in so cloning a collection of discs is an afternoon or two of work.
What's most complicated is AFTER 06, 07 the radio and entertainment were retarded to eliminate most of the voice control. Only done on US models but being a service bulletin any car that came in for service had it done - shame. EL07-039, Infiniti - Voice Recognition System Update_(1RY40)_09-nov-07 Also in the '08 when ripping to the 'Music Box' once the red light goes off (in the screen) the disk can be removed, usually it takes about 5 mins per disk. CDs are expected to be ripped that's why the player is only 1 disc. Finally, in terms of DVD-Audio it will ALSO work with DTS-Audio disc of where there were a few more produced than DVD-Audio. Super Audio CD (SACD) is not supported.
Usually just the first 3 are FM. Scroll using the right knob/search buttons. When you find the channel you want to keep at #4-6, just press & hold that button & an FM station will be programmed there
not directly. There are however Bluetooth adapters that would fit the AUX input; this is because this car was designed before the spec had expanded to include audio stream option i.e. for speakers and the like.
I bought a used 06 M35 sport, it has the DVD player and rear aux, but no rear screen. It also doesn't actually have the DVD player, just the cutout for it. Not sure what the story behind that is, but my aux doesn't work because of it. How can I install a DVD player? And what do the plug-ins look like?
EdBwoy Yeah, I have the Nav/Bluetooth unit in the glove box. I'm pretty sure the DVD player is suppose to be there, but from looking at pictures online, I don't see the plug-ins needed, I think. (The vented seats are disconnected as well, but the plugs below the cup holders don't fit, looks like they should but I've tried..) Awesome car, just wish I had these features that looks like they should be included.
I have an Infiniti M 35 sport and it has the entertainment system except for the navigation and it also doesn’t have the Rare Display. So how can I get a navigation system in? The Bluetooth in the glove box what’s it for. I can only make calls but can’t play music from my phone to the car.
That's exactly what the Bluetooth in these cars does - calls only. I'll copy what I wrote in response to your question in the other video. "You can install the larger screen but it won't give you navigation by itself. You'll need the accompanying antennas, wiring, receiver, headunit, keypad etc. to make it all work. I'd much rather use my phone navigation or if I invest in parts like that, I'd go with an entire aftermarket system."
This is the only a helpful video I’ve found . It’s been months . Trying to find out how to play the dvd and music from my phone. Does anyone know how to get the iPhone to play music to the car ?
The cable (Infinti) is for the first generation iPod, (wide 34 pin), there are adapters for the later iPod, but its all pre Firewire / Lightning. This audio system was designed before the iPhone and all it has become was introduced.
@EdBwoy 2008 infiniti m35 Bought it like this can't get rear display to flip down and I can't even select rear display on the screen just clicks on it and it want stay on and I don't have remote please help...
Thats neat the rear screen flips down and goes back up with the touch of a button i wanted the rear dvd and the rear sunshade but not the rear reclining seats
@@junedkaka thats a safety issue; I don't think the instruction can be stated because if it was learned that knowledge led to an accident liability could be passed up to the person providing that instruction.
I have a 06 m35x with the full package with a remote for the rear fold down screen. I just changed my car battery and now the remote won't work anymore when it did before. Is there a way to reset the remote. I'm positive there's nothing wrong with the remote I even changed the batteries
Hey Ed Boy I Consider You An Infiniti M Specialist I Have A 2008 M35 & Recently I Noticed That When Im Driving A Battery & Brake Light Comes On Just The Other Day While I Was Driving The Battery Brake TCS OFF VDC OFF Lights Came On & The Entire Instrument Cluster Started Flickering & The Car Barely Wanted To Go Forward.....Yesterday I Drove It & It Drove Fine But That Battery & Brake Light Was On Any Idea What Is Going On????? Im Puzzled
If you want an LSD, you could use a G37 diff. Your best bet on a BBK is the Akebono kit. There are write ups for those on the forum. If you know anyone looking for a 2008 fully loaded + akebono, point them this way.
Hey Edbwoy, I'm purchasing a 08 Fuga 450 GT type S (08 M45S) and am wondering if I have aux/rca capability on the car? I know it doesn't have the Bose 5.1, and I'm assuming it's the base, non Bose audio package. Can't recall if it has DVD either. I can ask the dealer and am only picking up the car in a couple days but I don't trust the dealers knowledge. I'm hoping I'll only need to buy rca to 3.5mm male, but have seen in the Nico forums cars without dvd don't have rca
For the US market, I know that without the armrest DVD then there was no factory RCA option. I am not sure what the Fuga packages were. They seem to offer more options
The speakers were usually on all the time, even playing the radio, but they function like extra speakers in a 2-channel system. They are very low, and not dramatic at all. Their impact is more pronounced when playing DVDs.
@@EdBwoy regular 2 channel audio sources don't have discrete mixes for the surround field, so its created in software. That's why DVD-Audio and DTS were supposed to make such an impact.
I know there are some solvents that can remove gunk without damaging the buttons. A professional detailer might have better ideas, but I'd try a mist of vinegar/water mixture...or steam, after looking at the price of a potential replacement on eBay.
If you have the AUX inputs there are adapters that create Bluetooth links for modern devices. You would use that rahter than the car's internal pairing.
2008 infiniti m35 Bought it like this can't get rear display to flip down and I can't even select rear display on the screen just clicks on it and it want stay on and I don't have remote please help... tried to email you pics...
It can be updated by the dealer for about $160 and you buy the $80 dollar disc from Nissan; tried to share my phone directions with the car and it would never accept the file sent by the phone
Yeah, the bluetooth in the 06-10 M is strictly for calls. You can buy a dongle that allows you to stream music. Only one person that I've known was able to enable mobile - mobile connectivity. Basically a tablet in the car
Not the fault of Infinti, when the car was designed a cellphone was a flip device for calls. Funny to think of that now. WHAT I MISS is current smartlinks present your incoming text messages on-screen and its available on mid-tier vehicles.
