What’s crazy to me is how Infiniti didn’t put the more modern infotainment systems in the Q70 like they did in the Q50. The Q70 is still rocking the old infotainment system from the M and G platforms. Same with the screen displays in the gauge cluster
Minor exterior differences, but the lights look way better on the Q70. I'd rather save the money, and buy an M. Get a 5.6 in the M... bro these things are 🔥!
Or spend a little more get the long wheel base so you get more leg room, soft close doors, heated backs seats, more trim and throw all sport parts on it
@@EdBwoyto swap the headlights on a M56 with the updated Q70 headlights, do you have to also change the front bumper and grill? Because the shapes of them look a tad different...
Nothing could stand next to this iteration when it debuted back in 2010, both the interior and exterior were beyond its competitors and so was the tech. Still remains a beautiful car to this day. Only the Genesis G80 surpasses it in styling, but then again, it is also 10 years newer. Q70's rear was a big improvement over the M37/M56.
Hey man thanks for all the great content. I own a 2014 Q70S. It looks more like the older version. Just recently watched one of your videos on the rear power sunshade being jammed. I did what you said and was able to fix the issue so it’s greatly appreciated. I actually like the more aggressive look on the older versions of this vehicle. I like bigger grill, the 3-D look of the fog lights, and the design of the rear lights as well. It could’ve used some more touch on the rear bumper as well. Buy hey everyone has their own taste. I was wondering. Do you drive with the gas pedal option on hard, soft, etc? And does it help in any way with fuel? Can you explain what that feature is for?
Thank you for the support. The gas pedal settings are for ECO mode only, and it just pushes back if you drive in a way the car thinks is not good for fuel economy. It definitely helps if it pushes back hard enough to keep you in the green, but for people that don't like that sensation then they turn it all the way off
Yeah u pretty much have to drive in grandma mode with the eco on, it doesn't have any special feature that makes the engine save gas it just makes it harder to push on the pedal🤦🏿♂️ I drive in reg mode all the time, the dot, I MIGHT use sport when a challenger or mustang rolls up and starts revving at the light🤫
When I'm parking my car the last thing I'm going to do is look at a display. By the way, my first car was a '72 VW Beetle. You know, a lawn mower with a body.
I've never done that myself, but I believe there is a tutorial on the forum on what to do once the Navi DVD has been purchased. If I come across the link I'll share it
I never did like the Q70’s front refresh. it has the same problem modern Infiniti’s do, they don’t look distinctive or “sharp” like the M, FX, G, and QX56 did. The M sport still retains a timeless aesthetic and balance of aggressive and majestic. The interior is also timelessly beautiful and worthy of a full flagship. I do prefer the rear lighting of the Q70, but that’s a minor advantage.
I’m about to buy a m45 2003 any tips on how to keep it well maintained. I’ve been looking through a lot of your videos and they are gonna be helpful if anything goes wrong with it . Appreciate the content !
have all fluids flushed and changed when you get it, oil, transmission, power steering, differential, brakes, coolant, do it all. Then, have the headlights restored professionally (do not do it yourself) do a clay bar at home, and polish it with an orbital buffer, put a sealant on like Ethos Resist, and make it look clean and new.
Ed I love your videos man. I am an Infiniti enthusiast like yourself. I have a question, I like the body style of the M37 and M56 better than the q70. I actually prefer the front grill of the M37 over the q70. I want to purchase a 2016 q70. Is there a way I can swap a M37 or M56 grill and put it on a q70? Are there after market parts to change the grill of a q70? Q70 grill looks like the q50. @Edbwoy
I didn't say they look alike necessarily. But for people who have followed Infiniti, looking at both cars will give you a good idea as to what era they were built
@@EdBwoy lol I'm just givin u a hard time, lol, the q45 ain't my fav, love everything but the headlights, still it has unique aesthetics as does every Infiniti
