In today's video we begin a new series looking at the various factions of the Human Sphere, of Infinity Code One by Corvus Belli. Starting with Pan Oceania, we'll be diving in to which units are available in the beginner friendly Code One rules, as well as what they do and what sets they're available in.

As a 7 year vet of the game, I appreciate the addition of WHERE to buy the models. THANK YOU! I hope to see more soon and thank you for your efforts. The basic break down is, to me, the best way to intro C1 models/units. Tactics will come after you know what a rule does. Only thing I would say is to make the unit profile bigger so people can see what each load out is. Having said that, a video on Army construction via the app would be awesome too, haha. Thanks again for your work!

Infinity definitely needs more videos like this - showing both the models and their general role vs. just talking about the profiles is really really helpful for a new player trying to decide what army to pick up. I'd love to see the same treatment for N4 forces and maybe an intermediate guide on which armies the CodeOnes can be grown into for N4?

As a PanO player "I find your lack of faith (as in not mentioning the knightly orders at all) disturbing" proceeds to sharpen cc weapon. Anyway glad you are getting deeper and deeper into it! Infinity is a great game with gorgeous miniatures, and solid interesting lore and factions. Keep up the good work!

I hope you continue into N4 units but I suggest you break down the factions to general (IE Ariadna is low tech) and then focus on individual sectorials (US Ariadna has lots of medium infantry).

I think the plan would probably be finish code one, then do N4 vanilla armies, and if the series continues to be popular finally start Sectorials as their own vids. Thing is, by their very nature sectorials would be much shorter, easier to do vids, so I could probably put them out 2 a week or 3 a month.

There's definitely a good amount of figuring out that goes in to list building, which is what made me want to do this series. That said, another great idea is to just trial stuff in TTS. Test the units and see how they perform/if you like them.

Some of the Kaldstom units saw their 1st release in the Kaldsorm box like the so that is why you can't find them else where (While it was also fleshing out the Svalheima Sectorial for N4)

Great vid. Just planning my first purchases so great timing!!! For future vids it might be good to have packs and units listed in description. Just a suggesting so feel free to ignore! :) From going through your vid with a pen and paper it seems that you get the most variety of units with no duplicates if you get the following: Operation Kaldstrom Beyond Kaldstrom Alpha pack Beta pack Support pack Dronbots Cutter I don’t know if that helps anyone.

I could probably link all the items mentioned on the CB store, since they're pretty Kuch guaranteed to have them all. I didn't do that this time because anyone in UK, Aus, NZ and USA is very unlikely to buy direct from CB, but it could still be worthwhile.

Thanks Ed, really glad you like it. I think list construction is something I'd definitely like to tackle at some point, but probably more from a rounded perspective, than a faction specific one.

I truly hope so. These are a bunch more work than what I usually do, because I'm having to learn what all these units do myself, for the most part. However I think the infinity community deserves the effort, and this is a series I'd have wanted to exist when I first got in, so I believe in it and I really want people to love it!

This is a really great video but there is one minor nitpick as a PanO main I think you should mention: PanO tends to have lower WIP compared to most factions so it means using doctors/engineers a bit more risky and may have to spend more orders to successfully get the objective. I think you covered it pretty well from a Code one perspective but figured I'd point this out since transfers over to N4 too.

Hey Matt, really glad to hear it's useful to you! I have been asked a lot to continue this series and I really would like to get it done at some point. So for now, it's definitely incomplete, but I 100% want to find time to revisit it, down the line. Unfortunately the only downside is that they're pretty in depth videos to make, and I'm super strapped for time at the moment. If you get to the point where you want a place to discuss infinity tactics and ideas though, my Patreon Discord has a ton of dedicated players, including myself!

LOVE the video and the layout of information. Code One us supposed to be a “starter” skirmish game, but there are 19 Units (not counting Mercs) and soooo many rules still. Doesn’t *feel* like a starter version, and it scares the crap out of me for N4.

I can assure you, once you spend some time absorbing the design language of the rules and being immersed in them, it starts to get really easy. I've only been looking at Infinity for a month and didn't own the Code One rulebook till last week, and I already feel very comfortable with the basics. My hopes is that this series will take care of the other half of that though - the decision paralysis from having all those options and not knowing what suits you, or where to get it.
