Running through the July releases from Corvus Belli I assemble Maximus and the Caskuda while talking about the unit profiles, models, and uses for most of July's new releases!
Yara is amazing. I put her in a fireteam with an asawira, a ghulam dr, a muyib with hrl and tac awareness and a barid hacker, as a core, which let me put them 4" to the middle of the table to later split them up in two single models and a haris for the asawira. Then some impersonation and daylami. So the only model that starts in my deployment zone is one sensor drone for problematic stuff. Everything else starts in the middle or the other half of the table. Pretty annoying with still 5 out of 13 button pushers.
@@the_infinitygamer I might be misunderstanding, but the Peacemaker doesn’t have a reinforcement profile. If anything it is losing some of its uniqueness to having a bunch of other units now showing up in the midfield.
I have about 200 Infinity Miniatures, and all metal minis are very, very good - good poses, insane detail, great proportions. And mostly, they even go together easily, and most joints that are iffy can be pinned for strength relatively easily. I have exactly two siocast models from the range, and the bultrak is completely f**kd up, it was so warped as to be almost impossible to get together. And since noone and no company is an island, the question must be asked as to why CB so consistently refuses to do plastic minis, like a small, rarely mentioned company from Nottingham does? These plastics from that small other company are great - and so are Perry miniatures, and I really do not get CBs bullheaded way of seeking a different solution. Plastic is cheap. You ca have people do it for you, so the investment need not be massive (again, Perry Miniatures at Renedra). Frankly, Siocast has ruined CBs TAGs for me, and it will be a long time before I get another siocast model, if at all.
I have the its pack with the ayyar and the shakush. The plastic from the model of the its pack is stunningly better than the others and stiffer. It looks absolutely great in comparison to the metal minis. Very sharp an great to read details.
Definitely! The marut and the Ayyar were great in their quality. I wouldn't mind if CB made more minis out of this material, besides the "quality" feeling of the heavier metal minis, which i really love. The bases, I think were cool and the bottle opener is a really fun gimmick. My first its pack was the one with the special jotum, because I just really wanted him for my winter force. Also a really great pack. But I think quality wise considering the content, they really upped what they put in there. The only thing is that in my opinion putting just 2 d 20 in those packages is strange because I thought of giving a batch and one dice to the usual first three would be logical. With only 2 you just have one for first and second place which in my opinion feels a bit weird. Or if you want to use them for playing only 2 dice are a bit strange considering the burst numbers of the most standard loadouts. But otherwise I really, really like those packs. Since ice storm being my first package with a friend, where I took the nomad side. They really had quite the progress with every bundle they made😊
