Your confidence in a single layer of fiberglass is something to behold lol. Im also extremely impressed by that homemade wood prop and how it was balanced enough to hold together and pitched evenly/properly to work.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing! As someone said be careful with that prop, never go to the side of its plane of rotation without protection! Put some metal sheet around it!
You should have filled the sides with closed cell foam or even expanding foam. That way even a small leak wouldn't allow the boat to sink. You should also look at using better fiberglass than chopstrand mats like biaxial weave even if its just the outer layer to the chop strand.
If the entire thing filled with water it wouldn't sink it's still displacing enough water to stay afloat you would have to cut it I never half to destroy it completely 😂 He's done a fantastic job
Great project, I love your ideas & it looks like lots of fun, but it isn't an inflatable boat. It's an air boat , but perhaps that was lost in translation. Have fun & be careful of that prop
This my friend will last you a long time it's absolutely brilliant! I really respect the skills on display here ! The floor and cage design are epic I'm excited to see her sail (fast ) so strong aswell . God bless you my friend with mercy and peace health and happiness Amen 🙏🏻
Молодец! создавай в каждом элементе конструкции запас плавучести. Это герметичные отсеки с воздухом-в боковых "бананах", в трубках на дне, в трубках кресла и верхней рамы
Thank you to BKS Creative for posting this video. I am about to start a race car build where I need to make large extended fenders to cover the large tires. I was wondering what a good way to build the large compound curved fender flairs would be. I was thinking some kind of flat material. I seen the formed wire and bingo great idea because it possible can be formed into compound curves a lot more easy then flat material such as metal or plastic. Then when fiberglass is laid onto it the basic shape needed can be made and secured. After it is built out and final shape is done I will make molds then reproduce the fenders in carbon fiber or maybe s-glass with inner support for lower cost and low weight. The wire can be formed into a radius bent over a PVC tube, trimmed, then bent into a long smooth radius then bonded to larger curved side sections. Over all this is really going to work exactly as I need, I can see it. Anyone wants to know what these fenders will look like, google "Dekon Monza #20 race car". I will document the car and fender build with video.
I think the translation for naming the boat called it inflatable. I'm worried the meaning of words is going to be lost in tranlsation as things are just assigned a designation without regard to how the terms came about. ALSO found that the navy now USES rigid inflatable boats, so even they are struggling to name this style of boat. Here is the excerpt: The Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat is a high-speed, high-buoyancy, extreme-weather craft with the primary mission of SEAL insertion/extraction and a secondary mission of marine interdiction operations. The RHIB is also used by U.S. Navy sailors for visit board and search operations at sea.
Surprised to see it transform into an Air Boat, but it looks like it works well. Seems like an electric trolling motor would be more practical, since you can recharge the battery with sunlight.
Maaf bang ijin bertanya....
If I would build the bottom I would make it as on a rib boat 😅 more easy to deal with splashes as you move through weaves on large speed Another thing in my opinion is that the fiber glass is on a thin side.
Why are all the materials easy to source and the design so simple and repairable? This goes against every known First World engineering and production principle.
No way 1 layer of fiberglass will hold that motor Mount abs chair mount in place very long without bolts or several layers, I used 2 layers 6% woven abs 1 layer of 1708 biaxial fiberglass on my boat
Yes, a proper inflatable boat that can be deflated for storage and transport.. Nothing inflatable about this and the cost of making it look like one exceeds the cost of buying the real thing. All it needed was a single skin flat bottomed hull.
