I read a couple of things about Siberian Huskies after watching Togo. One of the conclusions by a scientist who studies the evolution of dogs from wolves said that domestication of the doggies paralleled in significant ways, the survival of Homo sapiens vs Neanderthals. In both cases it was a principle he called "survival of the friendliest." He believes this principle shows up in practically any hierarchical setting. So: if friendliness is a power, it's a power principle. I thought it was a telling detail when the producers showed the "mean girl" sled dogs snarling at puppy Togo. Baby Togo disarmed them, one by one, by scampering over to lick their faces.
