the awkwardness. avoiding eye contact as much as possible. the stuttering. the way our voice kinda softens and cracks when we talk to other people. starting a phrase and not knowing how to finish it. changing topics and losing focus mid-sentence. sweaty palms. the shortness of breath. being an infp is quite interesting but genuinely torturous for most of us lmao.

That moment when you start your speech but you already forgot what you wanted to say and you just go on talking about the first thing that comes on mind ending in a infinite deep conversation about life, society and the universe.

It feels odd actually seeing myself in others.

People have often told me that I sound as if I'm high or on drugs 24/7 when I talk. Always thought I was weird until watching this. Eerily similar.

The most frustrating thing for me as an INFP is to recognize the lack of purpose and principle in others and still try to fight the urge to become jaded and cynical.

This might be a human thing but does anyone ever catch themselves in the middle of a conversation and all of a sudden your train of thought separates and all of a sudden your now hyper focused on the person staring at you? Then you you try to tune back into whatever you were talking about but sometimes it gets alittle rocky trying to pretend like you know what your talking about and the person your talking to realizes your steering off course. Hence the awkward moment.

I can get very tongue tied speaking out loud unscripted, unless I'm talking about something that's important to me, the it's flows out of me with ease and confidence.

I just took a quiz saying I was infp-t and i’ve always thought that I wanted to be an actress, because it would seem so much easier to pretend to be someone else rather to live in my own mind

Everybody is talking about how we mess up our words. . . and I haven't relate to anything as much as I do with that. Which made me think that maybe that's why we have so good writers/authors in our kind. We enjoy making our thoughts known, and taking our time to do it, even more.

God, I always beat myself up over the way I speak. I even overheard my parents and siblings saying not to bring up the way I talk because it would hurt my feelings just once, and it's haunted me ever since. For years I've always taken it as a sign that I have some kind of intelligence problem and it's killed my self esteem. But now I realize there's a whole group of people just like me, and I don't feel so bad about myself anymore.

Why is it people think INFPs can't be arrogant?? I don't quite like to be put in a box of shy, private, etc. I can be arrogant and private about the bulk of my emotions! In fact, being reserved comes off as quite arrogant to many extroverts in my life! There is MUCH variety among individuals, I can see that many of you here have not taken any Statistics or Psychology courses.

Its so strange how you are all saying that we stutter and that we're awkward. All I see are passionate, articulate people. We want to use the right words and so we like to pause in between phrases to find the rawest way to convey our message. We are always trying to find new ways to express ourselves. I see people who have a soft spoken manner, but are solid in their values and in their opinions. We are deeply introspective and so when we talk we seem to be in another realm, translating what is going on in our brain to the outside world. These people are all emotionally intelligent as fuck and I am so happy to be an INFP.

Idk if this is just a me thing as an INFP -- whenever I have to present something or introduce myself, even though the script in my head sounds engaging , when I actually present in front of the audience, everything sounds SOOO dull. My voice gets deep and monotonous, and rarely do I ever even get reactions from the audience and I think they lose focus. It's painfully awkward. BUT it really comforts me to know so many of my favorite artists are INFPs as well.

Its funny that Johnny deep is a infp like me because someone told me that I look like the female version of him lol.

I can see the way I speak in some of these people and it makes me realize I'm not all that bad. The girl at 14 minutes reminds me of how I speak and act and she's really cute! When I think of those qualities in myself I feel dumb and like I'm making a fool of myself. If this is how the world sees me then it's not so bad. This is helping me be okay with who I am even if others might not like it, thank you :)

INFP here, yearning for a vocation as a healer after losing faith in my artistic abilities. This list is interesting and I can relate to some, if not most, but the only real "healer"I see here is Regina Spektor which just by looking at her eyes, I feel better about myself and the world... guess what I'm fumbling for is to ask why is my type considered a healer while our Fe is weak, our Si often puts us in a rut and our imagination and introversion drives us towards being reclusive misfits unless we are, as in the rare cases we see here, blessed with some extraordinary talents or genius.

That lesson about laying a kid out with a weapon... that is so true. It might get you into trouble with the teachers, but your self esteem will be SO much better in the long run.

it’s easy for us to feel like no one would find us interesting in this world that expects eloquence and physical expressiveness. but once in a while when the right people come by and show genuine interest in what we have to say, we appreciate it so much more

(sadly not many ppl i've come across are interested enough to hear my discoveries and perspectives on them)(& why was the audio for the part where he was gonna explain what he read about the Indians blocked out i was rly interested to know) Heath Ledger is when I'm speaking about 'regrets' bc that's exactly what i tell people about 'regrets'- a waste of time. Johnny Depp is when give people advice on life.. John Lennon is when i talk about the world, the govt and politics (funny how what he said is still largely relevant today)..&the more i know about stuff the less i hate too, except for the pure evils of the world.. David Lynch is when i have an epiphany on life and try to explain it with metaphors and analogies.. Mia is when i'm talking about my favorite character from a book or show and how that character and story relates to real ife.. Morrisey is when i take pride in my art and what i do and reflect upon it and how it'll take me into the future.. Regina Spektor is when i'm a little shy but very very high and happpy.. Tim Burton is when i'm dissapointed and confused when i realise people don't see things the way i see them.. Tori Amos is when i was 12 too and had a crush and wanted badly to prove my talents and worth but i was too nervous and shy but was determined to do so anyways and i did but also never saw or heard from him again and i still get nervous and shy when i need to present my talents to an audience.. Nice to know people i can relate to and think and behave like me can become successful. (♥ω♥*) Now to make that happen for myself. (▰︶︹︺▰)

This is hard for me to watch. I can feel what they want to say and how they are emotionally reacting to the people around them who they are aware are misjudging them. All the other personality types think we lack intelligence.

Omg, this is so funny because whenever I am on camera I look SO shy and appear so soft-spoken 😂 in my head I think I'm speaking so confidently, and I AM! I just sound so soft. But on the inside, I have so much life and compassion and excitement. I think our heads have the ultimate protective layer around them, so when we're communicating, especially to a large or nameless crowd, we appear very shy or in retreat mode. We have a hard time inserting ourselves into reality. We are courageous by simply being present and vulnerable with the world. We feel vulnerable OFTEN, if not always. This video made me proud to be an INFP!

We are not stoned..Its the deep understanding of feelings and the day dreaming that drugges us with its magical mist of imagination and reality combined that makes us literally away with the fairy's.

As an ENFJ, even before knowing my type, I used to find INFPs so interesting and even sexy when it comes to the way they express themselves, their nostalgic eyes, stuttering, and social awkwardness. Very recently finding out Enfjs and Infps are a good match :) INFPs are so unique ♡

That Heath clip. You just know how much he has thought about those things over time. Everything he has or hasn't done in the past, how he has done them and why, what do those things mean. There is so much but all he can really say here is that uh yea i would do everything differently.

When I always watch videos with INFP it's like I was looking signs that they're handicapped or weird because that's the way our personalities are described and often seen. Weirdos, awkward, kinda autistic. It's very hurtful and since I know what people think about us, I feel like I was handicapped 😐 f.. all people who think low about us.

I'm technically INTP but going too hard into this type almost killed me, and I've since learned how important emotions are as a guide. I test at 48%F/52%T. I've built a lot of logical structures in my head as a guide to understanding life, and now trusting my feelings and letting go of logic to intuit my path along these structures is liberating and empowering.

I have a feeling alot of us INFP's have adhd since i see alot of comments say how we can't focus on what we are trying to say and can't put it into words
