A circular walk in the Ingram Valley in Northumberland.
The walk starts from Ingram Bridge car park and heads through the valley for a short distance before heading up to the hill of Brough Law. On the summit of Brough Law is the remains of an ancient Hillfort. The remains of the Hillfort form a complete circle on the summit of Brough Law. From Brough Law we head back down to the valley, crossing a bridge over the River Breamish before heading up to Cunyan Crags on the North Side of the valley. At a height of 473m Cunyan Crags offers superb views over Northumberland. From Cunyan Crags we then visit a stone circle before continuing to Reavelly Hill and back down to Ingram.
A really nice walk with great views and a touch of history.
Distance is around 8.5 miles.

Nice one, Eddie, were you using the new camera? The output was top class. As ever you got the blue sky weather but it looked cold and you were both well wrapped up. I enjoyed seeing the ferns either side of the paths dying back giving a lot of colour to the hills. The landscape seems quite similar to what we have here except our paths would have been very swampy and wet - yours looked dry and easy to walk on. Great views all round, Eddie, and those seats were in just the right places! Regards, Ashley

Hi Ashley, thanks, yes using the new GoPro11 for the first time. I am still experimenting with the best settings to use. I bought it for the stabilisation on the camera and pleased with the results so far. It was a really nice walk with great weather. A bit chilly as you mentioned, but we prefer it that way. Just subscribed to your channel. I have looked at this area before for walking but I'd heard that dogs weren't allowed on some of the access land in that valley. Also we used to go to The Cheviots a bit but it got awkward with having a dog and farm land with cattle about everywhere. A lovely day for your walk and filmed very well.

Hi Tracey, thanks for the sub. I have done likewise and will have a look at your channel for some walking ideas. This was a really nice walk with some great views. I didn't notice any restrictions for dogs on this route, but I could be wrong. We have been walking in the Cheviots quite a bit over the last couple of weeks ( Windy Gyle a couple of time and walking in the College Valley) We saw walkers with dogs, but I understand it can be awkward, especially with cattle. @@eddiecaisley5746 we loved Windy Gyle and the ridge to it and yes The College Valley is lovely too Lots of hill forts abound haha. We have stayed at Morebattle, Town Yetholm and Howna. Have you walked The Schil yet?? That's a fantastic route from Cocklawfoot. .

I did a long route a few years ago starting from Hethpool and going on to Eccles Cairn via St Cuthberts way then on to the Schil. I think one of my earlier videos shows this route ( It is not a good video as I had just started out videoing) I have parked at Mounthooley a couple of times and gone up to the Schil that way via Black Hag. We did a great walk last week going up Yeavering Bell then on to the Tors to Hare Law. The Cheviots are great for peace and solitude. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
