@Melvinsview In the UK 95% of hernia ops are done open, so I was concerned about the experience of the surgeon. I asked him which he was best at & he didn't clearly answer. I also had a concern for incisional hernias at the site of the 3 cuts for the laparoscopic equipment, bad enough having a tear in 1 place in my peritoneum never mind a further 3. Hopefully I made a good decision, only time will tell.
