I had Inguinal hernia surgery with orchidopexy (Moving of testicle from absomen to scrotum ) 3 month ago but still feel heavyness … surgeon said you are normal
Good to see practical information based on experience. so many of the hernia videos tend to be from surgeons but have never experienced a hernia themselves! I'm 3 weeks out of open inguinal surgery and still getting pain and discomfort- hopefully it'll ease soon. Your videos give me reassurance!
Hi brother what type of inguinal herina surgery you did and do you train your body abs if do means prepare a video on that I got labroscope inguinal herina surgery it had happened 150 days if I do push up or squats it is paining near lower abdomen please reply how to recover and can you give your instgram I'd ❤❤
Hello brother, I don't have Instagram at moment, will maybe create one. To train abs I don't do the typical training, I prefer to just move, to dance , to crawl & flow. The abdomen needs to flow. I will make a video soon on these things. All the best brother
@@Expresshonestly i am doing fine. I will stay home it is a just one day holiday sadly. During work I have used a stand up desk maybe I will use a normal sit down dest, sitting down feels more comfortable these days.
Im still working it out and on year 5 and it has gotten better. But Iam older so if younger Id prob do the surgery right away. I am still open to it if it got so I could not function like it was the first time I got it. But surprisingly its pretty good. And I wonder if I end up trading one feeling for another. I am just curious to know if it feels like you have a pencil stuck within you and its constant? For now I feel almost 100 perc most of the time and why my doctor even said lets take a wait and see approach which is what is done now a days. Good luck and Id love to hear more follow ups. Did you do the Shouldice surgery? Or?
@@giova3026 Hi there, nice to hear from you. It doesn't feel like a pencil stuck in me , no. The area is a but tight & less supple than normal tissue, but that's the only issue. The watchful waiting approach is understandable as all surgery should be avoided unless really necessary, but I feel they do use that to save money also. Keep us updated & I'll keep you updated too. All the best.
@@Expresshonestly good to hear what was the procedure ? If I do it I am looking at the Shouldice procedure with a bio mesh over in Germany w a doctor Koch , he was the one who said for me to wait
I like your videos, maybe you could introduce trip videos for foreigners like chilling out in Scotland. It is called traveltubes in Korea, mostly the creater goes and enjoys food like your pizza at the end
This may be normal, I say may because every situation can be different, but a week is still very soon after surgery, so pain is common. Was your surgery open or laparoscopic?
@@Expresshonestly I'm taking a good look at my lifestyle. I'm a grandad to twins since July and another one expected in February. I was off the booze when my own kids were small and thinking of doing the same for the grand kids 😉

I'm due to have this surgery in the near future and I'm extremely worried, to the point where I didn't know how I'm going to go through with it. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos, they're really helpful 👍
You're very welcome,I'm just filmed a new video on the psychology that helped me walk forward through the fear. You will be surprised by how much your actions are stronger than your thoughts, both will move to align but you will do what is required if you desire the change.
Hello Sir I am going for a laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery using a 3-D mesh next week. Sir, just want to ask how're you now ? I want to know the parameters of pain, medicines, diet, workout everything. Kindly elaborate sir.
Hi Amar, hope your surgery goes very well my friend. All the information you request is in my videos, kindly watch them as the detail I go into in the videos is more than can be written.
I had the laparoscopic hernia surgery and when I left the hospital they said I would have fluid down there and when I went for my 3 week check up the dr said everything looked good. I still had fluid but that was normal for how big the hernia was. I had fluid down there since I left the hospital.
Hey. I had an open inguinal repair with no mesh 2 years ago. Failed. Thought I was in the clear after a good nights sleep. Around noon the next day I began having horrible electrical zaps shooting into my left testicle from an unsettled nerve. Went away after 2 hours. Worst experience of my life. Brutal. I’m laying here in bed tonight after having mesh put in this morning laparoscopically. Tomorrow is gonna be a real mindfuck because all I will be thinking about is if the zaps will return when the local anesthesia wears off or if 2 years ago was the surgeon making a mistake. Hang in there. I quite literally feel your pain.
Hi, that sounds like hell, I've experienced nerve pain in my arm once & there's no pain like it, crazy sensation so to have it in a testicle is literally torture. In my mind that happening again is rare, especially with a very different way of performing the surgery. One if the benefits of Laparoscopic is that it reduces chance of nerve issues. Wishing you well Kelly. 1 step at a time. 1 punch at a time. 1 round at a time.
Thanks for the encouragement. I never considered that. Makes me hopeful. The worst part was that it would come every 40 to 100 seconds. I would verbally yelp when it happened. Physical and psychological torture. Never in a million years I thought that could or would happen. I was just as anxious as you on my first one. This one was easier. The experience counts. Keep me in the loop regarding your need for another one. Laparoscopic may be the way to go.
@KellyBigley-us8wv definitely a nightmare, that intermittent shooting pain is classic nerve pain, agony jolts from hell. Absolutely mate, let's Keep each other updated on our progress through this journey.
I had a open right side inguinal/scrotum mesh repair three months ago and it still feels like there's inflammation at the top right of the repair, where the spermatic cord goes through the mesh, and a little discomfort. Not a problem and far better than having a scrotum the size of a coconut.
@tomm856 Yeah I'm a little surprised that I still feel quite a bit of tightness & discomfort in the area, hopefully time will smooth these issues out for us.
@@Expresshonestly Hernia doing good brother. When I got my hernia in a work injury, I also got 2 trapped nerves in the back, and a herniated disc. On a waiting list now for neuro surgeon. Only 58 and out of the trade. Getting the palexia opioids but only taking them when pain really bad. Love your videos. Stay strong brother 💪

For me I’m 5 weeks out and it feels as if I never had surgery or a hernia. I’m lifting really heavy in the gym too. Maybe I was lucky. I had a tissue reconstruction though, so no mesh (they used an autologous muscle graft)
Thanks for the update mate you are brilliant I loved your personality straight away ❤🥰 and still having a go at a wonderful life 💗you are definitely not gay looking mate your 💯 percent masculine straight 😋
Hernia repair is doing well on the right side. The possible new Hernia on left side is concerning but stable. Will make a video very soon detailing more my friend, speak to you soon. All the best.
Nice to hear from you, all the sun and wind its quite nice scene. Update on my Femoral Hernia: I am writing this because I know how we feel about this issue and I want to give some hope. When I examined my groin, I shaved it all by getting into a bath, soaking, and then using a blunt razor, soaped and shaved the area. This clears the hair without cutting skin but is a problematic method later on as the hairs tend to itch as they grow. Better using an electric trimmer and leaving stubble (number 2 blade protector) I noticed the entire lower abdominals were missing. There was only a thin layer of skin, fascia, and muscle. When I coughed, put pressure, the area would bulge and was concerning to experience such vulnerability to the area. I bought a cheap $20 hernia belt. This was supportive but whilst I waited for it to arrive, I used K2 tape to support the area. (I still use K2 when I go out dancing/singing) The bulge felt like it was made up of fluid. I did mini crunches whilst feeling where the crunch was affecting. You are trying to re-establish muscles where really, there are none. I have now come up with all sorts of ways to affect the area. The exercises MUST NOT promote the bulge. You are not doing sit-ups. It's more a gentle tension and release of the area. Time under tension is important. I then got a better belt: THUASNE ORTHOCARE Ortel. This is a flat belt that protects the area from flexing. Once I made progress and established some muscles, I got my mountain bike, and rode on flat areas only for 2 x 2 hour sessions. I drank protein shakes and increased my calories (Theory: muscle will only maintain/develop in a excess of clean calories/protein). The muscles returned and I am now at 90% fixed. Biking progressing now. The problem was the muscle wastage. No support of the high pressure area. Avoid all gas as gas is destructive in this condition. Find out what causes you fluctuance and stop it. For me, chocolate. I believe this potential hernia was caused by two events. 1. A piriformis muscle injury (which I feel was due to creatine) which was not fully repaired 2. An impact to the groin I think as part of the repair to the piriformis, stretching weakened the femoral area. The piriformis muscle, in some way atrophied the lower abdominals or the stretching damaged the area. I am getting an ultrasound next week and then off to deep tissue massage to fix the piriformis fully as it is still niggly. I am booked into a hernia specialist but I will not introduce mesh. If I get a repair/need, I will get it fixed with sutures, and upgrade my exercise routines to truly improve my core. I am 63 this year with a metabolic age of 46. I deep dive all factors of health and when something happens to me, I experiment with my own solutions. Avoid science made drugs. You can never know the full outcome. Find a natural solution. Whatever condition you have, there is a way you can improve it naturally.
Very detailed routine you have, I too like to take detailed approach. I read that some genetic tendencies can cause some people's peritoneum to expand more than others, apparently there can be advantages to this is athletics ect but on the flip side can gradually stretch out & thin muscles & cause hot spot areas, hernias. I'm still trying to determine what's going on , on my left side. There's definitely muscle damage & it pretty painful, but also I real sense of limited abdominal support in the area.
@@Expresshonestly One of the problems to being super fit is you have a racehorse in your possession. It needs a high degree of management and maintenance. You are the same body structure as me. (76Kg, 178 cm, under 14% body fat which is dangerous) I will share my progress with you. K2 tape allows the area to repair. An observation: If you don't lock it up with K2 tape, flexing the area will constantly degrade the repair process. Got to go work brother from another mother. Kiakaha!
Thank you! Unfortunately, my surgery was cancelled due to the computer nightmare hitting the globe. I had to postpone it to Aug 7th. Good thing I have an awesome truss that helps a ton! I would be in trouble without it! Skål!
@earthquakemagoon2505 ah that's a pain the IT issues has effected you. The hernia truss I haddid help me alot too, it did become annoying wearing it for 15 hours per day though when I was working.
Have you had a piraformace muscle injury or any illness prior to your hernia? Did you lose weight? I suspect for me a) Creatine causing constipation, muscle dehydration/piraformace injury b) 2 weeks bed rest/recovery c) Lost 3 kgs muscle d) Weakened abdominal wall e) Impact of abdominal wall on an obsticle f) Not a hernia but a lack of muscle to support small intestine cavity. If left unchecked, would have resulted in hernia. The key is muscle wastage.
I actually tripped on some stacked up wood & it twisted my hips very violently causing a tear at the bottom of the inguinal canal. I knew something bad had happened soon as I did it.
@Expresshonestly I have recovered for a few weeks with resting and supporting the area, performed small crunches, hardly a crunch, and then biked for 2 hrs on a flat track on a mtb. I think it has fixed what looked like a femoral hernia. I will let you know the results.
@@Expresshonestly It is 24 hours after the mountain bike ride on a flat circuit (a few small hills but no real pressure on the groin). My suspected femoral hernia is looking and feeling 90% fixed. I will go for another ride tomorrow, allow 48 hrs of recovery. I still have a piriformis issue and will make this my focus during the next month. Hernia is the end product to muscle wastage. I tried a variety of exercises but only biking has rebuilt the lost muscle which now supports the right femoral region and stops the 'feeling' of a hernia. I suspect a lot of people get hernia repairs done with muscle wastage as the cause and actual issue. Sure there are hernias, but I have found nothing that describes the symptoms I had and appear to be now recovering from. This is a game changer. One doctor identified it as a hernia and wasn't even going to scan to check. I would have gone on to have surgery (i am booked in) and it looks like it was not required. Interesting
Hi , I'm doing pretty well. It's one of the gifts of growing older I feel, the understanding that we are all just trying to make the best of our injuries, both physically & mentally. I plan on making more videos soon, I enjoy that & it keeps me from isolating myself. All the best

Aye, I was concerned about my opposite side too, I thought it would maybe happen in years but this so annoying it's almost comical. We walk on regardless brother.
@@Expresshonestly in oriental medicine they explain hernia occurs when a innate CHI is nearly depleted which makes the organs go downwards, it is abstract however in line with the fascia thing. Taking rest is important in oriental medicine aside taking specific herbal mix, some use specific accupunctures to either stimulate the CHI or near the hernia place(which seems similar to the old PRONOL injection method) whicb basically makes a scar slowly around the weak place. I havent been able to access a nearby oriental doc who could do the so called accupuncture, which main stream docs are most skeptical about. This vaccuum breathing i read also has in ayuverda medicine the effect of burning your innate boiler which makes the CHI flow smooth. A abstract explanation but it is all coincidentally in line.

@@Fab94340 In Korea, japan, china as you mentioned the oriental medicine is prescribed to retractable hernia phase and there are one or two rather standardized herbal mix. I have read some cases where some elderly men have been fixed. The CHI and organs tends to go downwards as one age and theses oriental medicine make the CHI go up, some refer to liver or some internal organ issue could also be the cause. It is also worth noting YOGA and reversestand are mentioned by one chinese amercian accupuncturist and one case I bumped into which might help with the CHI energy(which is closely related to fascia) flow. Even though accupuncture arent the first kind of choice, there are some accu points where they are noted for the effect on hernia I note they aid in make the CHI flow better. I hope you all the best some folks have success it is all different for individuals. And oriental medicine docs generally explain curing by the herbal medicine takes long time. I am taking the oriental medicine now and self pressuring the accupoints, yoga and hoping it would aid me in this path
I was examined and it was diagnosed as a Femoral Hernia. I was wearing a general hernia belt but I got a new one and it has made all the difference. THUASNE Truss. It creates a flat support of the groin triangle. I wear it night and day and the results have been dramatic. I feel if you stop the bulge, it allows the tissues to settle and possible repair. I am also exercising and I feel I am improving. I think my problem started after taking creatine.
@ianstephenson9471 ahhh that's very interesting you mention creatine. I was going to start taking creatine again, but I had a fleeting thought that the rapid fluid expansion in tissues could effect the hernia mesh area adversely. Have they spoke with you about surgery? Femoral hernias have a higher risk of strangulation
Sounds like a good idea to document it all, I'm 27 and the sheer amount of effort I had to put in to even get a doctors appointment was unbelievable, then the feeling of quiet disdain from the staff when I finally did get a face to face appointment really speaks to your feeling of being gaslit. It wasn't until I went to A&E with an incarcerated hernia that things actually began to be put into motion getting it sorted - thankfully it was just internal fat stuck with the hernia and no bowel. Still, even then it was pushed back into place and I was told it cant be that bad and sent off at 11 at night from paisley hospital, high on painkillers with no phone battery to speak of. All this is to say you aren't alone with that feeling of despair when one thinks of the NHS experience - but you seem plenty resilient and I'm sure you'll be fine. Wishing you the best of luck for all that helps mate haha 😅
Hey brother, nice to speak with you. Absolutely, some of the staff we encounter in the nhs are so callous , they are clearly in the wrong job. When I first went to the doc she said probably wasn't a hernia & offered me antidepressants haha. Obviously it was a hernia & I declined her offer, but it's a sad day when google is actually more helpful. All the best mate.
Hello mate, i support your first watch and see stance, which the doctors might also take. It could be the pressure inside is moving around finding the weak spots thats what I feel like what is happening to me right now. It could be your muscle or fascia grew a little bit weak at that specific point, it could be reversible lets keep the fingers crossed. I ordered oriental medicine under the pharmacist emphasizing he can't guarantee any success, and an accupuncturist declined work and now I am self pressuring or using hand accupuncture, sigh I agree with your point in this medical road.
Yeah man it's the solo path for us when it comes to healthcare. Either way I will be training to try stabilise the area & balance the pressures in that area, but with age these things can become a difficult thing. Maybe we will get a wee stroke of good luck & blessing mate🙏.
Just had mine done two weeks ago and didnt really have much pain. I streched when i woke up this morning and that hurt a bit, so im hoping it didnt tear anything. Im hoping everything is healed pretty well on the inside
How are you managing these days? Any updates, i am doing vacuum breathing and yoga. Feeling lots of air bubbles or gas than before feels like i have a small ready to pop our balloon inside me. sigh..
I'm still trying to assess my situation, there's something definitely not good but still hoping I'm just paranoid haha. Pay attention to your bowel movements when it comes to that sensation in your gut. I feel when a loop on intestine gets nocked out of place or kinked that can happen, but it also happens just with trapped gad from normal processes. Because we don't have access to swift healthcare, our minds end up trying to help ourselves.
Thanks it is troublesome however it comes and goes frequently never experienced these things before. I think i will stay away from milk or heavy meat to lessen gas if possible and see how it comes out. Cheers hold on 😊
they should have hernia support groups - all folks who are going to have the surgery or who have recently had it, so you can help each other out. After surgery, the support group makes a point of scheduling someone to help you out while you recover. that way no one has to go through the recovery completely alone
Great idea, 25% of men get a hernia & we all end up on google trying to pice our life's together. That's why I love the small but highly detailed community on this channel. it's a real time study of the before during and after.
