I've replace my worn out two-burner Char Broil TruInfrared Grill with the current three-burner model with side burner. This rendition has several improvements which I talk about in the video.

Thanks for the informative history of the evolution of the infrared technology. Just bought the same one as yours for Father's Day and I am really please with the effectiveness of the cooking. Bought the grill after watching your unbiased presentation that seemed very honest.

I've had it now for three years. I've had to replace the grill grates, just a few months ago. Other than that, it's working as well today, as it did three years ago. I'll post an update, soon.

I have the tru infrared performance one. Grates are easy to clean. I turn it up high to burn off any leftover food. Turn the heat down and brush the rest.

I've got the same exact grill and i absolutely love the way it cooks. I like to cook thick boneless chicken breast, and its juicy every single time. I grill year round, even in winter. Hows your grill holding up 1 year later? I would love to see some more videos from you.

We have a screen porch and I put grill in there in the winter time. I will grill year round, also. The grill is doing great. The only issue is it is one of the higher maintenance grills. You really do have to clean it nearly every time you use it. But the cooking results make it all worthwhile.

My three burner is in great shape, three years out. The only problem is the grates. They are cast iron have been delaminating for a year, now. I will have to replace them soon.

Our 5 year old grill is still working well except the grate (emission plate?) has large holes now. We are trying to find replacement parts and have become confused because our grill never had the wire grate that most of the diagrams show. We aren't ready to throw out our grill and buy a new one.

So you converted you Tru Infrared into a standard gas grill? Or did you keep the emitter plates?

So with the improvements ,do you think it will last longer than 4 seasons and did you buy it at Defiance Lowes ? What would a good lookin guy expect to pay for the three burner ? I watched your earlier vidjas about the two burner , and liked what I saw, so I bought a counter top "NuWave infared " my only complain is my "Meat Bill " has gone sky high !! LOL

mrbakerskatz No, I did not buy in Defiance. Will it last longer than 4 seasons? I do not know. But this grill is substantially more rigorous build. Materials have been improved. The fact that the fire box structure is all one piece, makes me believe that it will. The best part is that the holes in the emitter plates are now protected by the grill grates, making cleanup much easier. This is the grill for me.

I'm three years out with the three burner, and it is holding up well. I will need to replace the cooking grates soon, though.

So I’ve had this same grill for about 3 months now and cooked about 40 hamburgers and 20 hotdogs on it yesterday for a party. When I say that this think smoked, is an understatement. Anybody else have this issue? Meat turned out great but I had to set up a box fan on a table due to such heavy smoke. Anybody have some suggestions?

It does smoke more that a conventional grill, because the fat drippings don't catch fire. I would suggest lean ground meat for burgers. Maybe 90/10 instead of 80/20.
