Initial Impressions Of My New F80 M3! Does it Live Up to the Hype? 

I would agree for the most part. Kinda like what I was saying, the exhaust sound is very deep and aggressive which suits the car well with it being an M. I think the sound from the N55/B58 wouldn’t suit this car well.

@@InlineSixAuto agreed completely, but there are for sure better exhaust set ups that allow for the car to still be aggressive and sound a pinch better

I am probably going to go with one those setups. Seems most people say the single Mid pipe sounds better if you have stock cats. So I’m leaning towards that one.

@@InlineSixAuto I haven't done any mods at all to it yet but would love to do an intake just to get a little more induction sound out of it, and maybe the big suitcase muffler delete. It's so quiet, haha!

@@tylerpalmer8973 a muffler delete will definitely make louder. that was one of the first mods I did on mine.

Do you have the single mid pipe with the rest of your exhaust being stock?

Mine was 68k from a private seller. Which is definitely on the higher end but it is a 2018 with only 19k miles. It also has the executive, competition, and drivers assistance packages. And then also the individual Avus Blue Metallic color.

I know! might just have to go single turbo eventually.

So far I'm thinking of going with a high flow downpipe with a single midpipe. Seems that sounds the best for my taste out of the different setups I've heard so far.

Yes its still easy to drive. The DCT is the only thing that is slightly different than what I am used to. But its basically an automatic.

I have been hearing about that but I assumed it was for their newest cars. I honestly haven’t pushed it the hardest. I haven’t really pushed it in first and 2nd gear cause I’ve been a bit too uncomfortable. Maybe I’d feel more a difference in those gears.

@@InlineSixAuto Fair! I just recently acquired my F80 Comp (2017) and i have had a similar experience. Here in chicago in the fall the road temps have been too cold for the pilot supersports to hook (a tire on this chassis known to spin the rears often). first and second have just been spin city! My prior car was an STi on e85 making 400whp, so I can understand what you mean about it not feeling like a big jump in power. I feel a lot of that is due to just how planted the car is, it doesnt feel nearly as sketchy as the STI did, even spinning the rears! get it on a smaller road and it feels like a rocket ship.
