Georgian police used rubber bullets against protesters, an injured reporter has said as he was showing his wounds. Georgia's Interior Ministry denied that its forces used projectiles to disperse the crowds. More than a dozen people in Tbilisi sought treatment for injuries on May 2
following the latest round of protests over the controversial "foreign agents" bill.

People should watch their politicians closely and see if they suddenly buy big expensive houses depending on how they vote on certain bills
@occamraiser

People should watch their politicians and see if they are appointing corrupt supreme court judges. Georgia isn't the only country with a corrupt leadership, look at the GOP / MAGA / Qanon / Bribe taking 'supreme' court justice, far right Americans. Georgia the US state isn't much better than Georgia the mis-managed country.

We already play this game in Belarus in 2020. After that almost 400thousands from our 9.45m population left country. Most active of us leave Belarus. All who’s left here is demoralised or scared.

Russia passed a law in July 2012 requiring foreign-funded organizations involved in "political activities" to register as "foreign agents." Similar to the draft law initiated in Georgia, the Ministry of Justice registers the agents there as well. The 2012 version of the law defined political activity as any action aimed at influencing the decisions of government bodies and public opinion. The law was tightened first in 2016 and then in 2020. The concept of "foreign agent" has been expanded, and now agents are not only organizations, but also individuals who receive income from abroad in any way. They cannot work in the state or municipal service. If the media mentions any of them, they should mention that they are "foreign agents". In Russia, organizations began to be inspected, fined, threatened and summoned to court. Organizations were faced with a difficult choice, either to accept foreign grants and be labeled as "foreign agents" or to close.

No it is not. US has a similar law but not exact same. It is clear you have no idea what you are talking about so let me clue you in. In the USA the law is directed to non principal beings that are involved in The Politics. But Russia passed a law in July 2012 requiring foreign-funded organizations involved in "political activities" to register as "foreign agents." Similar to the draft law initiated in Georgia, the Ministry of Justice registers the agents there as well. The 2012 version of the law defined political activity as any action aimed at influencing the decisions of government bodies and public opinion. The law was tightened first in 2016 and then in 2020. @Zandiv
@Zandiv 13 дней назад
@Thegreenatheo soooo, the law looks at foreign political interference and follows the money - what's not to like. Furthermore, unless you're Georgian, I'd respectfully suggest it's non of your God damned business. Finally, given the political context of the US trying to open another front against Russia, as a Georgian, I'd pray that this law not only be passed but enforced with prejudice.
