In fairness to the Doctor? He's seen what THIS superman is capable of and now there's a second kryptonian who is apparently acting in support of Superman. With Superman weakened as he is this may be the only chance they'll have and even that aside, taking diana down would be a blow to any regime loyalists out there.
@@singletona082 Glad somebody understands. Some people would just take something at face value - or really just from their interpretation - and go on from their, too often without taking a step back than not.
They kinda have to make him annoying since he’s a villain and with such a fan base that loves him so it’s hard to turn them against him, to motivate the players to more so sympathise with the insurgency
@@z_6077 Because the first game lacks ALOT of context to his story. If you read the prequels you will understand his devotion to Superman and his hatred toward Batman.
Can we just take a moment to admire the fact that Batman reverse engineered and modified ALIEN TECHNOLOGY to prevent people from teleporting into the Batcave?!
@@arthurmyself7183 batman told firestorm to use flames around them, pretty sure tjat disturb superman hearing. Also batman mission to firestorm is to get gold kryptonite.
@@capybaraandwatermelonenjoy8208 Supermán said: “even without my powers the phantom zone can’t hold me, I’ll be back”. And Im pretty sure those yellow “lights” are irradiating Superman with gold kryptonite, which can depower Superman with enough exposure according to Bruce.
@@ggt47 What's the problem? We're not shipping them, it's just cute to see Supergirl clearly amused by Harley. And at this point, even Harley Quinn is a better influence for Supergirl than Wonder Woman.
Damian: "You keep SOOO many secrets but you can't stand it when somebody keeps it from you, can you?" Batman: "Who left this broken condom in my prison?"
well ya that is exactly the reason...no memory space eaten up by actual mission design and large maps. it is only a fighting game so there is lots of remaining processing power to make great animations. heck even the opening cinematic to darksiders from ps2 days was amazing but because of that the rest of the the game was still normal ps2 graphics. takes to much power to make amazing animations and graphics for the entirety of a full lenght game with lots of content but a fighting game there is not much content to worry about.
what you said makes no sense... the game being "only" a fighting game does not matter, the system doesn't run the game during cut scenes. That's called optimization.
"We do .... not ... kill" Supergirl: "Um, what did he say it like that like we are in a room that has murderers?? Kal-El, why did he look at you when he said that?"
Supergirl: Well this guy looks like a nice guy. He wants to save the world. But why did he have Kal in a prison? And why does Superman give evil-like smirks everytime that black guy tells him to not kill people? *Later* Supergirl: Why the fuck are people running from me because I have an S in my chest? And why is this woman that is extremely close to Kal trying to kill Harley and every single thing that is around her including me? *Some time later* Supergirl: Kal wtf happened to Diana? She seemed crazy Superman: Yeah. . .too bad she decided to deal with Harley *now* Supergirl: HOLY SHIT KAL IS A BAD GUY I like how much she saw of WW and Superman's bad behaviour but what makes her suspicious of him is that he said "now". Not that Diana fucking wanted her to stay hiding because someone could "see" her. You know? The people of the planet that is supposed to be compatible with Kryptonians and the best place to run to if something were to happen? Because you know, the best place to run to if you are in trouble is a planet where you will be hunted first sight for using THE FUCKING FAMILY SYMBOL YOU DON'T STOP FUCKING USING LIKE FUCKING EVER.
@@Mark-tq7bf Probably didn’t want to think that y’know the people that saved her, Diana and Black Adam are cunts and also because her reunion with her cousin, makes her find out that he is a fucking psychopath murderer. Doesn’t want to believe something so vile is what Clark would do. I mean last time she saw him, he was just a baby.
I love Batman's confidence. He sits at a table with gods, wizards and aliens, and bossily tell them what to do, and how. That's aspirational. #lifegoals
If I am sent inside Brainiac's ship and Brainiac comes in front of me, I'd legit wet my pants. And that's without an unreliable Superman standing next to me.
Isn't practically everyone in this universe on that same medicine that Alfred (allegedly) took and beat superman's ass with? Hell EVERYONE should be scared of Batman, dude's already unmatched in a fight, while he's fully capable of flipping over a bus? Forget about it...
Yeah I really enjoyed Damien Wayne in the comics and animated movies I know he was kind of a brat but it was fun to see him try and mature In Injustice all his character development is quickly Dash out the window when he sides with Superman becoming even more of a brat
And Id like to say those costumes are hideous, takes away from ALL aesthetics, why the H E double hockey sticks is Supes wearing a chinstrap, and what is he wearing?!
@@OneSlowCbr nah DC just haven't made a good justice league movie yet which I think starting in 2020 they will one thing to point out though is that DC has a dark story throughout the universe so it's harder to tell Christopher Nolan was the only person that understood that fact.
6:25 this was such a lighthearted moment. After seeing this, I really hoped Superman would change and they could all go back to the way things were. Sadly, that didn’t happen😔
You know, the part where Superman removes the cover and reveals the Justice League Symbol underneath gave me hope that they would go back to how things were. Before Superman's imprisonment, before Shazam's death, before the parallel heroes showed up, before the deaths of so many from the Green Lantern Corp, before Joker broke Superman. It's sad to see that it didnt happen and most likely will never happen.
NAJE GARDNER I agree with you that I took Batman's side after Superman murdered a child, but up until that point I could see both of points of view in the first Injustice game, and now it seems like both Batman and Superman were wrong in the events of the Injustice 2 game.
The scene where Sups uncovers the JL table is a couple of times where he and Bats just have a nice moment in this game. It's not much but it shows that Bats still cared about Clark even after everything. It's like after what Joker has done Bats at least still cares for him. The other moment is right before the ending where they talk about Lois's pregnancy
Maxisamo1 no no but that's the thing. Batman is being sentimental by making a quip at supes because that's how they used to talk to each other. Superman knows full well after that that Bruce had the meeting at the table on purpose to remind supes of old times and Clark recognises that it's in the hope that they can be a team again... which makes it all the worse when they can't.
I really wanted that table to remind Superman who he was and what he stood for. Shit makes me want to apply to work at DC and create a character called "Sense." He has the power to slap sense into you.
HappyMask Salesman it's a good thing that this story isn't actually connected to the real DC comics earth prime. It's really just a what if thing. So I think superman will always be evil in this and I really don't mind that. As long as they don't mess him up in current comics I'm fine. This is a good little read
But didn’t you see how Superman actually felt conflicted after Batman walked off? I think they nailed this scene. Batman was clearly showing his light side and optimism in the hopes of restoring the Justice League to it’s former days but Superman still hurt from the loss of Lois Lane can’t move on yet. This scene was great in my opinion
Idk if it's a spoiler alert, just sounds like conjecture based on knowledge of the DC universe. Until you said spoiler alert. Now that actually confirms that what I previously thought to be an opinion
This is a very slight detail, but I love the difference between Conroy's voice in the Arkham games compared to the Injustice games. In the Arkham games his voice is a bit lower, and sounds more intimidating. But here, his voice sounds a lot more authoritative, like a leader rather than a vigilante. Conroy really was a step above everyone else in voice acting, RIP the goat.
Man, can we just appreciate how good the animation and character models have gotten in this? Look at Injustice 1. It’s truly awful when compared to what we’ve got now
Bro wdym the animation was awful? It was way better and gave originality to it. Also it was made in 2013, considering how good it is when it was made almsot 10 years ago
xCoatlicuex she was influenced by the Joker, same goes with Superman. But the thing is, Harley moved on from her past and realize her wrong doings, Superman however, is stuck with the past and kept the Joker’s influence on him.
@@justinebanaag6203 superman lived long enough to see himself become the villain. Harley lived long enough to see herself become the redeemed heroin ( not rlly but close)
Ok I've researched Supergirl age and she is 16 here Supergirl met harley when she was already a hero , a "good" person practically She likes harley because her sarcastic jokes...Kara is shy and ......virgin i guess
Not in this universe, she was way older (in age) than kal-el (Clark kent). when they both had escaped krypton, her capsule had malfunctioned driving her of course that put's her into a cryostasis. there's at some point in the injustice 2 comics that wonderwoman and Black adam found her, at least that's what was told in the games story. She was 16 during the destruction of Krypton.
Superman's eyes turn blue when he uses x ray vision (as you see when he tried to use it in braniac's ship). Superman didn't need to use x-ray vision to figure out. He just remembered.
"You'd blow up Metropolis rather than let Superman go?" "I'D SAVE THE EARTH..." I love the intensity and conviction of Firestorm... the type of guy that goes all in, Ride or Die kind of friend right there
@@Rawen1982 that kinda mimmick what supe done to joker but in a worse way, in supe mind , he killed 1 man to protect billions(technically he’s right, but after doing it he turned like a power craving maniac and became dangerous like joker so it was kinda pointless) but firestorm was ready to explode a City , so kill millions, just to kill Superman, even Wonder Woman judge him
Firestorm is just such an OG. He and Jaime follow Batman's directives so well and with such volition, it gives an air of realism. They love and respect him. A lot went into that, good shit
You know you’re the man when you utter the words, “Firestorm, Stand Down!” and others with powers, superhuman strength and the like do nothing but stand in their place as you walk near each of them like they represent no threat at all. Batman is truly BEAST!!
FX he’s the most hardened person in the Justice League, he’s not a Gary Stu protected by plot armor cause he trained for years all over the planet after losing his parents and became fluent in combat and detective skills and technology, he prepares for everything and doesn’t know the meaning of “too careful” which is why he always wins
Powerless Man he’s a Gary Stu if it comes out of nowhere or without sweat, which it did not. Bruce didn’t enjoy having dead parents and all their money
Powerless Man dude trained under the best martial artist in the world why wouldn’t he be a beast at fighting he inherited his wealth that’s understandable but everything else was earned through hard work now Superman is a Gary Stu would be a nobody if krypton didn’t get destroyed. Never trained never had to work hard yet he is the strongest hero becasue he is an alien battery supercharging off the earths sun and you complain about Batman smh your an idiot
Why did he keep it? The same reason he kept Jason Todd's old Robin uniform. As a reminder of what that assembled group of individuals used to, and still could stand for.
And because Bruce holds onto his family with both hands as tightly as he can. Clark is his brother, one who has gone down a dark and violent path but whom he hopes he can some day find the right words or actions to help. Damion and Diana, too. Batman purposefully used that table for this meeting because he knew Clark and Diana would recognize it, covered or no. He hoped it might make them as nostalgic for those golden days as a family fighting for the world side by side just like it does him.
This is the reason why I think Batman would make a great Blue Lantern, he always holds on to hope. He keeps his villains in an asylum instead of a prison because he has hope that he might, just might, change their minds. Like you said, he kept Jason’s outfit because he has hope that Jason can be what he once was again. He is Batman because he has hope that he can stop crime, stop people from suffering from crime like he once did. This is all just how I see him, but this is why I love Batman
I very much like this version of Batman, he is tough however he still cares for his comrades and he gives them chances to make up for their mistakes. I also like how he’s willing to compromise instead of being totally rigid like in other versions of the Batman character.
And yet, this game(which was released 7 years ago) still did Brainiac's invasion better than SS:KTJL known for it's arkham games. Why couldn't Rocksteady just make it so it's the Justice League against Batman(who we would play as) or atleast make it so Batman is the survivor, he overcame fear toxin so he has a very strong mind.
@@someonethatexist3086 cutscene they talk about how stupid try to kill flash with bullet and then in the end they just killed him with bullet also man of steel died to bullet
Firestorm has Professor Martin Stein in his head (he needs him to become firestorm ) Blue Beetle has the scarab (which is permanently attached to his spine) Both entities talk to the ones who are combined with them
@5:07 Harley's micro-expression of a smile after saying "Promise it won't be awkward or nothin' " too; I find that one even better because it's very subtle and easily missed, but adds quite a bit to the comment.
I like how they remembered one of Firestorm's most powerful abilities here: He can nuke people. Don't think I saw Firestorm deliberately do this since the old Ostrander comics.
6:01 I loved this part. Especially Batmans response. This isn’t a reunion of the JL this is just a one time deal. After that, prison time for every super that’s a threat. I also love that superman knows that and he’s planning a comeback of the regime. He knows batman too well.
I assume in the Injustice universe, she's never been the voice of reason, it's the only explanation I can think of to cause such a dramatic shift in personality.
@Joseph Bleifus Batman and Superman are extremists. Red Hood is the one to align with, because he is the balance between the ideologies of Bats and Supes: "On one hand, the Regime is right. Rapists, murderers and scumbags deserve to die. On the other hand, I'm no fan of government authority, especially of the dictatorial variety."
This is almost a 1 month old video and it has only 12k views and i posted my comment 30 minutes ago and i'm actually surprised how quicly i've got a reply...
The cutscenes and mocap in this game are outstanding. Microexpressions and everything. Definitely wanna see a dc animated or live action Injustice movie
@@Steveo_j8Majority of the people in the game has plot armor tho, not just Batman. Iirc, he was carrying those super pills so no one is going to chance that and start a fight.
Now that’s how gangsters enter a room. 1. State your opinion from in the dark as you slowly enter the room. 2. Pause when you’re visibly in sight. 3. Cue that ominous music. 4. Then continue forward like a badass. For added effect have your powerful cousin next to you while you do it.
Honestly, Supergirl was enjoying the remarks given by Catwoman and Harley. Plus, in this particular time line, this is Supergirl's first time seeing them.
Same thing happens in Arkham Knight, holographic recreation of handprints over the surface of the glove. Biometrics as well I guess. ... I know.... It's comics bro just go with it.
Supergirl is most likely happy that everyone is together for one goal, and clearly other female super heroes. That is why she defended Harley later on from a crazed Wonder Woman (who has made Injustice worse with her manipulation).
I love how the whole Justice League backs down when Batman shows up, like they know he's the one who's really in charge. His presence alone is an attack in of itself.
