I used to play Starfire for a long time (after her release and before she got this popular) and now i mostly play GL. This was a really strange finals for me, because i never expected either of these two characters (one i used to main, and one i now main) to make it to a finals. Anyway, i agree 100%. Starfire does way too much chip, and builds way too much meter. I swear Tweedy did more chip damage in 1 game than Gross did in all their games combined.
Slaytanicc i play GL too and I really enjoy him even though he’s not top tier. Normally I like Tweedy because his play style is fun to watch even when he plays starfire. But when it comes to a grand final like this, I think it’s just not fair.
Yeah this really just reminded me of EVO 2017 with HoneyBee vs. Dragon. It was anti-climactic. You had one player bringing a ton of hype with bad-ass combos, and one player that does nothing but do the same 2 or 3 moves over and over, chipping you to death. Not the way a Grand Final should go.
Not at all. Tweedy's Starfire is NOT just zoning. He reads his opponents and knows the matchup. Only Biohazard can be compared to him when we talk about Starfire gamestyle
Simply ridiculous how someone can play so well and lose to a scrub spamming, oh wait excuse me, "zoning" lol complete garbage is rewarded in this game. That chip damage plus the push back from Starfire is WAAAYY OP but that's how Injustice is supposed to be played i guess? Don't worry about learning combos and becoming a skilled player, just find a "zone" character and push 3 buttons...

cause the winner of the set came from losers bracket. its because the tournament is double elimination. the loser has to win 2 sets of best of five whereas the winners finals winner only has to win 1
I don't really think zoning in general is an issue at all. You saw Gross handled Fate pretty easily. The problem is just that Starfire does far too much chip damage, and builds way too much meter. Also, her Stardust + train MB does so much pushback. You do it twice, and your opponent is pretty much full screen. This is coming from an ex Starfire main.
No they won't. Zoning is always gonna be strong in Injustice, thats the type of game they want it to be. NRS wants casuals to be able to play their game and picc shit up easily, without dedicating their entire life to it... If casuals want to go the extra step and get better at the game they have training/ practice modes to assist them... NRS could give a single solitary fucc about a fucc-boy ass spectator nigga who constantly complains about the zoning in their game, especially ones who clearly never bought the fuccing thing... Here's my advice, instead of crying like a whiny little bitch about it all the time, why don't you go into practice mode and lab for once??... If you actually purchased the game it would seem like the practical thing to do if all the projectile spam bothers you so much. You sound like a fuccing broken record, and a fuccing victim
yeah bro I get that you can counter zoning but can you really counter someone backing the fuck up and back dashing for full screen zoning ...so if I dash in I take damage which I'm willing too just to get a decent combo in then I have to waste meter to meter burn roll I just know I've seen star and fate played at a higher level and max damage combos and etc I don't think gross was ready for all that zoning ..and it's funny cuz Tweety didn't even feel excited for wining ...and I'm an xb guy and zoning is what I deal with and Tweety is an xb guy I watch alot of ppl play and there is a bit more ppl with serious skill on ps4 js
