The favoritism is just rampant in the show. It's not like the judges have never given anyone a crappy tattoo and said deal with it

I feel like there's no way she got eliminated for *just that one tattoo. It was obviously better. It had to have been a choice based on the overall portfolio. Almost like their mind was made up before the tattoo was even made. Typical reality show nonsense.

10:20 "What's going on with this in and out of the skin thing" it's so clear that it's going in and out of sand. I love the details they put into this, you can really see that it's sand. I have no idea why they got that criticism. I don't want to be mean but it really makes me question the judges ability to see. To me it's spot on. I think they did an amazing job.

to be fair, the species of snake they had to tattoo was a boa constrictor, which do not live in sandy environments so the sand wouldn't be a good choice anyway for the realism aspect. If their live reference was a sidewinder or some other desert viper? I could get behind that

Cause DJ was a beast bro that dude had the best designs and he won 3 ink master that dude made a name for himself and was known before he even showed up on the show people where already saying how good DJ was. I'll put money in DJ pockets before I go to st. Mark or even Kyle or Joshua who couldn't draw for crap that copy and pasted from Google

because realistically snakes don't actually show their fangs often, sometimes depending on the snake, but it's actually very uncommon to see a snakes fangs, even if their mouth is open :)

Idk how Matty won tattoo of the day for the japanese snake...the head of the snake was weird. the composition was totally crazy to me, the background chrysanthemums totally overpowered the snake itself. The middle mum is way too big and the mums oriented backwards come across as daisies...it looked like an absolutely gigantic, ugly mess to me.

If i was a tattoo artist, I'd never want to do, snakes, portraits or pin ups...I feel like I see the most mistakes in those, dragons too. I'm a shit artist though so never wanted to tattoo, I'm a writer.
