I have attempted this several times, but every time I place the old maintenance back in, the printer says it is not a genuine epson product. I am using the chip resetter QE 589 and on is printed 'suitable for 3800/3800C/3850 (not sure if one of those latter number is suppose to indicate the 3880 printer. And it also says to reset the chip before the tank level falls to 0%. When I attempted to run a test print, the printer would not do it and prompted me to replace the tank, so not sure if that indicates zero or not. Just before this, the prompt was to replace the tank soon. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
